say_v to_o be_v many_o who_o by_o the_o power_n and_o influence_n of_o their_o education_n be_v restrain_v from_o deny_v or_o dis-believing_a the_o truth_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n and_o yet_o through_o the_o infelicity_n of_o corrupt_a conversation_n be_v fall_v from_o that_o veneration_n which_o be_v due_a to_o write_n suppose_v to_o be_v of_o divine_a authority_n for_o the_o history_n of_o the_o new_a testament_n they_o have_v the_o same_o respect_n which_o they_o have_v for_o tacitus_n or_o sallust_n or_o some_o such_o other_o history_n for_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o same_o which_o they_o have_v for_o some_o part_n of_o plato_n or_o remnant_n of_o pythagoras_n for_o the_o practical_a part_n the_o same_o which_o they_o have_v for_o some_o part_n of_o cicero_n or_o seneca_n or_o epictetus_n all_o which_o write_n they_o believe_v to_o be_v true_a but_o no_o man_n believe_v they_o to_o be_v divine_a and_o some_o there_o be_v who_o pretend_v a_o great_a veneration_n for_o the_o speech_n of_o christ_n but_o have_v a_o mean_a esteem_n for_o the_o word_n and_o write_n of_o the_o apostle_n in_o opposition_n to_o these_o opinion_n i_o shall_v show_v that_o suppose_v the_o word_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o apostle_n to_o be_v true_a it_o will_v follow_v that_o they_o be_v to_o be_v esteem_v to_o be_v of_o divine_a authority_n because_o christ_n and_o the_o apostle_n do_v profess_v and_o declare_v that_o what_o they_o deliver_v to_o the_o world_n be_v of_o divine_a authority_n and_o because_o our_o lord_n christ_n do_v undertake_v not_o only_o for_o himself_o but_o for_o the_o inspiration_n of_o his_o apostle_n also_o 1._o in_o the_o examination_n of_o the_o next_o opinion_n i_o shall_v be_v oblige_v to_o lay_v before_o you_o some_o
