alone_o and_o above_o all_o for_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o have_v a_o purpose_n with_o hope_n of_o pardon_n ever_o to_o abstain_v as_o least_o from_o mortal_a sin_n and_o to_o confess_v and_o to_o satisfy_v as_o shall_v be_v requisite_a this_o attrition_n of_o itself_o alone_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o obtain_v pardon_n until_o there_o be_v add_v and_o adjoin_v some_o sacrament_n unto_o first_o be_v but_o natural_a or_o servile_a yet_o may_v it_o proceed_v to_o be_v initial_a make_v imperfect_o a_o entrance_n and_o at_o last_o come_v to_o be_v filial_a in_o perfection_n out_o of_o these_o some_o difference_n be_v collect_v about_o contrition_n &_o attrition_n valen._n as_o first_o that_o some_o contrition_n do_v full_o pardon_v all_o sin_n both_o all_o the_o guilt_n &_o all_o the_o punishment_n though_o the_o party_n shall_v die_v before_o he_o can_v come_v to_o confession_n or_o any_o other_o sacrament_n if_o he_o do_v desire_v they_o and_o use_v his_o true_a diligence_n to_o obtain_v they_o whereas_o other_o contrition_n in_o the_o like_a case_n do_v remit_v all_o the_o guilt_n &_o pain_n eternal_a but_o not_o all_o temporal_a punishment_n but_o the_o best_a part_n of_o penance_n but_o these_o point_n of_o fear_n faith_n mortification_n and_o regeneration_n be_v only_o either_o preparation_n and_o disposition_n lead_v unto_o repentance_n as_o be_v fear_n &_o faith_n or_o they_o be_v necessary_a effect_n follow_v repentance_n as_o be_v mortification_n &_o regeneration_n and_o so_o all_o the_o text_n of_o scripture_n require_v these_o point_n do_v only_o prove_v that_o they_o be_v requisite_a and_o do_v concur_v with_o repentance_n according_a as_o the_o council_n of_o trent_n declare_v deny_v nevertheless_o that_o they_o be_v not_o proper_o material_a part_n of_o penance_n which_o in_o truth_n be_v contrition_n confession_n and_o satisfaction_n 2._o have_v a_o willing_a sorrow_n of_o the_o mind_n not_o natural_a only_o or_o compel_v but_o principal_o a_o willing_a sorrow_n and_o that_o of_o the_o mind_n rather_o than_o of_o the_o body_n and_o in_o the_o mind_n rather_o in_o the_o intellectual_a part_n of_o the_o will_n then_o himself_o for_o all_o his_o sin_n yet_o it_o be_v sufficient_a that_o in_o the_o election_n of_o his_o will_n he_o do_v sorrow_n for_o sin_n as_o much_o as_o he_o can_v and_o do_v eastern_a and_o prize_v the_o horror_n of_o his_o offence_n at_o a_o high_a rate_n in_o general_a than_o all_o the_o disaster_n and_o discontent_n of_o this_o world_n so_o that_o if_o it_o be_v now_o in_o his_o
