heaven_n first_o in_o heaven_n there_o be_v a_o eternal_a work_n for_o the_o saint_n to_o be_v employ_v in_o much_o have_v be_v say_v concern_v that_o happiness_n which_o the_o saint_n shall_v enjoy_v in_o heaven_n and_o more_o be_v there_o of_o sweetness_n and_o excellency_n in_o it_o than_o word_n can_v express_v but_o yet_o we_o be_v not_o so_o to_o conceive_v of_o the_o happiness_n thereof_o as_o some_o ignorant_a person_n do_v gross_o imagine_v and_o wish_v to_o themselves_o as_o if_o heaven_n be_v a_o place_n where_o the_o bless_a inhabitant_n thereof_o be_v altogether_o unactive_a and_o unemployed_a enjoy_v only_o their_o ease_n and_o rest_n and_o so_o void_a of_o care_n and_o fear_n pass_v away_o a_o eternity_n this_o may_v be_v the_o low_a and_o brutish_a apprehension_n sweetness_n and_o delight_n in_o this_o glorious_a reward_n that_o exceed_v all_o expression_n and_o apprehension_n rack_n and_o torture_v the_o whole_a creation_n extract_v the_o quintessence_n of_o all_o the_o glory_n beauty_n excellency_n and_o goodness_n that_o be_v in_o all_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o world_n and_o let_v it_o be_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o one_o man_n for_o his_o happiness_n yet_o all_o this_o be_v but_o a_o shadowy_a representation_n of_o that_o glory_n and_o happiness_n that_o the_o saint_n shall_v enjoy_v hereafter_o let_v the_o desire_n thought_n and_o imagination_n desire_n and_o in_o imagination_n of_o what_o shall_v be_v the_o heavenly_a reward_n and_o if_o desire_v if_o thought_n if_o imagination_n can_v reach_v the_o greatness_n of_o this_o reward_n sure_o all_o word_n though_o ntter_v with_o the_o great_a eloquence_n to_o represent_v the_o greatness_n and_o excellency_n thereof_o must_v fall_v infinite_o short_a of_o it_o so_o many_o good_a thing_n of_o the_o saint_n be_v so_o great_a and_o glorious_a that_o it_o exceed_v both_o the_o faith_n and_o hope_n of_o a_o christian_n the_o people_n of_o god_n believe_v and_o trust_v in_o god_n for_o great_a thing_n and_o god_n love_v to_o have_v the_o hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o his_o people_n greatn_v and_o enlarge_v towards_o himself_o of_o abraham_n it_o be_v say_v that_o against_o hope_n he_o believe_v in_o hope_n or_o above_o hope_n but_o in_o this_o great_a and_o glorious_a reward_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n we_o can_v believe_v above_o hope_n that_o be_v we_o can_v believe_v above_o the_o great_a thing_n that_o be_v hope_v for_o whatever_o we_o believe_v and_o hope_v for_o in_o heaven_n that_o which_o the_o saint_n shall_v enjoy_v there_o will_v be_v above_o it_o and_o beyond_o it_o it_o be_v true_a at_o present_a we_o know_v not_o what_o these_o great_a thing_n be_v but_o when_o we_o come_v to_o heaven_n we_o shall_v certain_o find_v that_o they_o exceed_v both_o i_o be_o such_o a_o frame_n of_o spirit_n have_v not_o always_o be_v enough_o to_o satisfy_v some_o christian_n in_o their_o pursuit_n after_o heaven_n oh_o with_o what_o ravishment_n of_o joy_n and_o delight_n have_v i_o both_o hear_v and_o read_v some_o holy_a soul_n express_v their_o long_a desire_n after_o christ_n and_o heaven_n there_o be_v a_o certain_a noble_a person_n who_o i_o well_o know_v from_o under_o who_o own_o hand_n write_v i_o copy_v out_o this_o follow_a relation_n concern_v herself_o be_v employ_v in_o holy_a meditation_n which_o be_v both_o her_o daily_a practice_n as_o also_o her_o daily_a delight_n and_o solace_n and_o contemplate_v of_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n and_o how_o to_o secure_v her_o interest_n in_o that_o state_n of_o blessedness_n she_o do_v with_o great_a desire_n of_o soul_n as_o her_o own_o word_n be_v strive_v to_o take_v the_o kingdom_n above_o with_o a_o holy_a violence_n and_o to_o storm_n heaven_n by_o importunate_a prayer_n and_o god_n be_v please_v as_o she_o add_v bless_v his_o name_n to_o carry_v she_o up_o as_o it_o be_v unto_o mount_n nebo_n and_o from_o thence_o to_o give_v she_o a_o prospect_n of_o the_o heavenly_a canaan_n by_o the_o sight_n whereof_o as_o one_o in_o a_o ecstasy_n of_o joy_n she_o cry_v out_o lord_z i_o will_v not_o live_v here_o always_o for_o i_o be_o now_o convince_v it_o be_v better_a for_o as_o attain_v to_o this_o frame_n of_o spirit_n for_o i_o believe_v there_o be_v a_o great_a number_n of_o holy_a soul_n that_o daily_o go_v to_o heaven_n without_o they_o but_o yet_o be_v it_o a_o state_n that_o have_v be_v attain_v by_o some_o and_o may_v be_v attain_v still_o by_o other_o and_o true_o such_o a_o heaven_n upon_o earth_n as_o be_v hereby_o enjoy_v by_o such_o holy_a soul_n shall_v be_v motive_n sufficient_a to_o excite_v and_o provoke_v christian_n to_o a_o diligent_a pursuit_n hereof_o the_o effect_n whereof_o be_v joy_n unspeakable_a and_o glorious_a to_o conclude_v in_o a_o great_a measure_n to_o which_o believer_n be_v now_o travel_v and_o unto_o which_o they_o expect_v to_o be_v bring_v when_o death_n have_v do_v its_o last_o work_n upon_o they_o it_o be_v true_a it_o be_v not_o a_o un-inhabited_n place_n but_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o place_n a_o region_n or_o country_n of_o spirit_n who_o nature_n and_o being_n as_o also_o who_o way_n of_o live_v we_o be_v unacquainted_a withal_o the_o language_n they_o speak_v be_v foreign_a and_o strange_a to_o we_o and_o such_o as_o we_o can_v understand_v in_o this_o state_n of_o mortality_n and_o though_o there_o be_v many_o holy_a soul_n that_o leave_v their_o impure_a and_o vile_a body_n return_v to_o corruption_n and_o rottenness_n for_o a_o time_n in_o the_o grave_a do_v daily_o ascend_v unto_o this_o heavenly_a country_n yet_o be_v there_o none_o among_o the_o innumerable_a multitude_n of_o those_o heavenly_a inhabitant_n that_o ever_o return_v to_o take_v up_o their_o dwell_n here_o on_o earth_n again_o to_o give_v we_o a_o exact_a account_n of_o that_o most_o glorious_a and_o blissful_a place_n it_o be_v true_a the_o bless_a apostle_n st._n paul_n be_v herein_o privilege_v above_o all_o man_n that_o ever_o live_v be_v take_v up_o into_o heaven_n by_o extraordinary_a favour_n for_o a_o time_n and_o vouchsafe_v some_o little_a more_o knowledge_n of_o that_o heavenly_a place_n than_o what_o we_o poor_a mortal_n know_v by_o what_o he_o there_o hear_v and_o see_v which_o when_o he_o return_v to_o earth_n again_o himself_o tell_v we_o the_o happiness_n thereof_o be_v so_o great_a that_o word_n can_v not_o express_v it_o for_o say_v he_o i_o hear_v unspeakable_a word_n even_o such_o as_o be_v not_o possible_a for_o a_o man_n to_o utter_v and_o if_o one_o that_o have_v be_v in_o heaven_n can_v not_o express_v what_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n be_v how_o then_o can_v any_o one_o do_v it_o that_o always_o live_v here_o upon_o earth_n if_o st._n paul_n that_o be_v by_o divine_a grace_n and_o favour_n admit_v among_o those_o heavenly_a inhabitant_n can_v not_o describe_v to_o we_o what_o heaven_n be_v well_o may_v we_o be_v at_o a_o loss_n in_o give_v a_o description_n thereof_o who_o be_v never_o there_o when_o we_o attempt_v to_o say_v all_o we_o can_v concern_v heaven_n alas_o it_o be_v but_o like_o the_o lisp_n and_o stammer_n of_o a_o child_n that_o be_v not_o arrive_v to_o its_o perfect_a speech_n and_o therefore_o all_o that_o we_o can_v say_v of_o it_o be_v but_o in_o a_o break_a and_o imperfect_a way_n and_o manner_n while_o we_o be_v in_o this_o world_n we_o shall_v always_o be_v child_n in_o understanding_n what_o heaven_n mean_v and_o therefore_o whatever_o we_o speak_v concern_v the_o happiness_n thereof_o must_v be_v proportionable_a thereunto_o as_o no_o man_n have_v see_v god_n himself_o so_o no_o man_n have_v see_v the_o heaven_n of_o god_n the_o habitation_n of_o his_o holiness_n and_o glory_n our_o lord_n tell_v we_o so_o express_o concern_v both_o john_n 1.18_o no_o man_n have_v see_v god_n at_o any_o time_n and_o in_o joh._n 3.13_o no_o man_n have_v ascend_v up_o into_o heaven_n our_o knowledge_n of_o both_o be_v chief_o by_o divine_a revelation_n it_o be_v true_a much_o of_o god_n be_v and_o may_v be_v know_v by_o the_o work_v of_o creation_n and_o providence_n but_o the_o true_a save_a knowledge_n of_o god_n be_v only_o make_v know_v to_o we_o by_o divine_a revelation_n and_o in_o the_o same_o way_n and_o manner_n come_v in_o our_o knowledge_n of_o heaven_n also_o that_o be_v by_o what_o the_o scripture_n make_v know_v to_o we_o thereof_o now_o according_a to_o what_o those_o divine_o inspire_v oracle_n discover_v to_o we_o what_o heaven_n be_v have_v the_o precede_a discourse_n concern_v that_o bless_a state_n and_o place_n both_o its_o foundation_n and_o building_n what_o influence_n it_o will_v have_v upon_o the_o heart_n and_o life_n of_o those_o that_o shall_v be_v the_o reader_n thereof_o i_o know_v not_o but_o assure_v thyself_o whoever_o thou_o be_v into_o who_o hand_n it_o shall_v fall_v that_o all_o these_o word_n have_v not_o be_v heap_v up_o there_o to_o be_v enjoy_v which_o be_v the_o subject_a matter_n of_o this_o discourse_n be_v thing_n that_o be_v invisible_a and_o out_o of_o sight_n but_o they_o be_v so_o only_o to_o a_o eye_n of_o also_o shall_v it_o be_v receive_v and_o entertain_v by_o christian_n not_o only_o with_o the_o great_a seriousness_n and_o earnestness_n but_o also_o with_o the_o strong_a faith_n and_o firm_a
