and_o experience_v the_o divers_a working_n and_o operation_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o his_o heart_n in_o this_o small_a treatise_n before_o hint_v at_o lead_v he_o from_o one_o degree_n of_o grace_n unto_o another_o from_o one_o degree_n of_o faith_n and_o knowledge_n unto_o another_o until_o he_o be_v full_o save_v by_o the_o grace_n &_o have_v gain_v perfect_a victory_n by_o the_o faith_n from_o &_o over_o that_o which_o make_v he_o imperfect_a sinful_a and_o defile_v and_o until_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o lord_n so_o abound_v in_o he_o that_o it_o cover_v the_o earth_n as_o the_o water_n cover_v the_o sea_n and_o until_o he_o come_v to_o the_o sabbath_n of_o rest_n the_o anti-type_n of_o the_o outward_a sabbath_n wherein_o he_o speak_v not_o his_o own_o word_n nor_o think_v his_o own_o thought_n nor_o do_v his_o own_o will_n nor_o work_n but_o witness_v a_o denial_n of_o they_o all_o and_o a_o put_v off_o the_o old_a man_n with_o his_o deed_n and_o keep_v the_o body_n under_o and_o a_o bridle_n upon_o the_o tongue_n nature_n will_n thought_n and_o desire_n which_o receive_v the_o temptation_n in_o the_o beginning_n always_o keep_v they_o to_o the_o cross_n ☞_o ☞_o though_o a_o rend_a wing_n &_o restoration_n be_v attain_v unto_o and_o the_o state_n of_o innocency_n know_v and_o live_v in_o even_o as_o in_o the_o beginning_n before_o the_o fall_n yet_o the_o will_n thought_n and_o desire_n must_v be_v watch_v rule_v over_o and_o subject_v to_o the_o will_n and_o command_n of_o god_n in_o truth_n and_o reality_n even_o as_o christ_n have_v lest_o a_o ensample_n who_o will_n and_o desire_n be_v as_o good_a pure_a and_o perfect_a as_o adam_n be_v before_o he_o fall_v and_o as_o any_o can_v attain_v to_o in_o this_o age_n yet_o say_v he_o when_o he_o pray_v to_o his_o father_n not_o my_o will_n but_o thâ—ne_n who_o will_v he_o come_v to_o do_v now_o in_o this_o heavenly_a self_n denial_n and_o true_a resignation_n stand_v the_o perfection_n and_o safety_n of_o the_o true_a christian_a all_o which_o be_v wrought_v and_o effect_v by_o the_o power_n and_o spiritual_a appearance_n of_o the_o second_o adam_n in_o he_o and_o for_o he_o who_o of_o himself_o can_v do_v nothing_o and_o in_o this_o be_v his_o happiness_n and_o perfection_n that_o he_o be_v come_v to_o cease_v from_o his_o own_o thought_n word_n and_o work_n his_o own_o way_n and_o will_n and_o his_o own_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n also_o for_o in_o these_o thing_n begin_v his_o misery_n ☞_o ☞_o and_o while_o they_o live_v in_o he_o and_o rule_v over_o he_o he_o continue_v in_o the_o misery_n notwithstanding_o his_o divers_a device_n and_o invention_n and_o strive_n to_o get_v out_o of_o it_o death_n misery_n and_o sorrow_n accompany_v he_o and_o cleave_v close_o unto_o he_o and_o he_o can_v never_o be_v rid_v thereof_o till_o he_o come_v through_o the_o work_n of_o regeneration_n through_o true_a self_n denial_n and_o resignation_n to_o that_o estate_n which_o paul_n be_v in_o when_o he_o say_v i_o live_v yet_o not_o i_o but_o christ_n live_v in_o i_o and_o the_o life_n that_o
