this_o wrath_n i_o shall_v never_o bear_v nor_o never_o remove_v there_o be_v now_o to_o word_n no_o pray_v no_o hear_n no_o conference_n no_o mercy_n nor_o salvation_n to_o be_v hope_v for_o and_o so_o the_o soul_n look_v no_o more_o for_o any_o good_a because_o the_o lord_n have_v so_o peremptory_o set_v down_o his_o doâ—me_n thus_o the_o soul_n break_v under_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o be_v not_o able_a to_o satisfy_v and_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n can_v never_o be_v remove_v the_o fire_n will_v ever_o burn_v and_o the_o worm_n will_v ever_o gnaw_v and_o now_o the_o soul_n cast_v off_o all_o hope_n and_o this_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o those_o phrase_n 2_o pet._n 3.7_o and_o in_o the_o 6._o verse_n of_o the_o epistle_n of_o jude_n where_o speak_v of_o the_o devil_n the_o text_n say_v they_o be_v reserve_v in_o everlasting_a chain_n under_o darkness_n to_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o great_a day_n the_o devil_n be_v hopeless_a he_o have_v no_o hope_n of_o good_a nor_o and_o happiness_n with_o he_o there_o be_v hope_n with_o our_o saviour_n because_o he_o can_v bear_v and_o satisfy_v and_o come_v from_o under_o this_o wrath_n take_v a_o basin_n of_o water_n and_o cast_v it_o upon_o a_o few_o coal_n of_o fire_n and_o it_o will_v put_v they_o clean_o out_o but_o throw_v the_o same_o boatswain_n full_a upon_o a_o great_a fire_n and_o though_o it_o may_v damp_n it_o a_o little_a at_o first_o yet_o it_o can_v quench_v it_o but_o rather_o increase_v the_o flame_n and_o make_v it_o burn_v the_o fast_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o that_o it_o quench_v the_o little_a fire_n and_o not_o the_o great_a fâ—re_n it_o be_v not_o first_o and_o next_o because_o of_o the_o coldness_n and_o crosnesse_n of_o the_o water_n to_o the_o fire_n for_o the_o same_o water_n be_v as_o cold_a upon_o the_o great_a fire_n and_z as_o crosseâ—_n the_o nature_n of_o the_o great_a fire_n but_o the_o little_a fire_n be_v rob_v weak_a of_o itself_o to_o bear_v the_o coldness_n of_o the_o water_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v quench_v but_o the_o great_a fire_n be_v able_a to_o bear_v the_o coldness_n of_o the_o water_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o quench_v so_o it_o be_v here_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n be_v like_o this_o water_n as_o david_n say_v all_o thy_o wave_n and_o billow_n have_v pass_v over_o i_o that_o be_v the_o wave_n of_o god_n indignation_n and_o the_o ocean_n sea_n of_o god_n wrath_n â—hen_o this_o fall_v upon_o a_o poor_a weak_a sinful_a creature_n that_o can_v bear_v this_o but_o break_v under_o this_o wrath_n and_o can_v take_v off_o the_o vengeance_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o sink_v under_o it_o this_o creature_n despair_n of_o all_o help_n not_o because_o of_o the_o wrath_n of_o the_o lord_n first_o but_o because_o of_o the_o weakness_n and_o the_o sinfulness_n of_o the_o creature_n that_o can_v not_o bear_v the_o wrath_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o hence_o he_o despair_n and_o the_o soul_n say_v alas_o i_o be_o weak_a and_o a_o poor_a sin_n creature_n and_o this_o wrath_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v of_o a_o infinite_a vigour_n i_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o bear_v it_o nor_o to_o get_v from_o under_o it_o therefore_o i_o despair_v and_o cast_v away_o all_o hope_n of_o help_n but_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n be_v perfect_a god_n and_o perfect_a man_n have_v a_o great_a flame_n of_o holy_a affection_n kindle_v in_o he_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o father_n this_o do_v assist_v he_o hereby_o to_o bear_v the_o wrath_n of_o god_n in_o his_o soul_n and_o not_o only_o be_v he_o able_a to_o bear_v it_o but_o to_o overcome_v it_o and_o although_o he_o be_v toss_v up_o and_o down_o in_o the_o sea_n of_o god_n wrath_n yet_o he_o be_v not_o drown_v and_o though_o he_o sip_v of_o the_o poison_n yet_o he_o be_v not_o poison_v therefore_o he_o bear_v the_o pain_n of_o the_o second_o death_n and_o overcome_v they_o and_o do_v not_o despair_v he_o expect_v to_o receive_v good_a because_o he_o know_v he_o shall_v have_v good_a thus_o our_o saviour_n john_n 19.30_o when_o
