as_o the_o psalmist_n say_v of_o god_n christ_n be_v scarce_o in_o all_o their_o thought_n but_o let_v these_o consider_v what_o a_o dishonour_n this_o must_v needs_o be_v unto_o christ_n that_o his_o train_n and_o favourite_n our_o grace_n shall_v have_v a_o full_a court_n and_o more_o frequent_a attendance_n from_o our_o heart_n then_o himself_o who_o be_v the_o king_n of_o glory_n and_o likewise_o what_o a_o shame_n also_o it_o be_v for_o believer_n themselves_o who_o be_v his_o spouse_n to_o look_v upon_o their_o husband_n no_o otherwise_o but_o by_o reflection_n and_o at_o second_o hand_n through_o the_o intervention_n and_o assistance_n of_o their_o own_o grace_n as_o mediator_n between_o he_o and_o they_o now_o to_o rectify_v this_o error_n the_o way_n be_v not_o whole_o to_o need_n but_o actual_o live_v more_o in_o the_o view_n and_o comfort_n of_o their_o own_o grace_n and_o the_o gracious_a working_n thereof_o in_o duty_n towards_o christ_n the_o reason_n of_o this_o defect_n among_o many_o other_o i_o have_v attribute_v partly_o to_o a_o barrenness_n as_o peter_n phrase_n be_v in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o of_o such_o thing_n reveal_v about_o he_o as_o may_v be_v matter_n for_o faith_n to_o work_v and_o feed_v upon_o as_o also_o to_o a_o want_n of_o skill_n whilst_o man_n want_v assurance_n to_o bend_v and_o bow_n and_o subjugate_v to_o the_o use_n of_o a_o faith_n of_o mere_a adherence_n all_o those_o thing_n that_o they_o know_v and_o hear_v of_o christ_n as_o make_v justification_n unto_o we_o it_o be_v in_o experience_n a_o matter_n of_o the_o great_a difficulty_n and_o yet_o certain_o most_o feasable_a and_o attainable_a for_o such_o a_o faith_n as_o can_v yet_o only_o rely_v &_o cast_v itself_o upon_o christ_n for_o justification_n yet_o right_o to_o take_v in_o and_o so_o to_o make_v use_n of_o all_o that_o which_o be_v or_o may_v be_v say_v of_o christ_n his_o be_v make_v righteousness_n to_o interest_n herein_o the_o better_a the_o soon_o he_o will_v prevail_v and_o he_o be_v there_o say_v to_o be_v great_a because_o great_a with_o god_n in_o prevail_v with_o he_o and_o indeed_o so_o vessel_n or_o rather_o fountain_n of_o mercy_n wide_a and_o capable_a enough_o to_o be_v so_o extend_v as_o to_o take_v in_o and_o give_v forth_o to_o we_o again_o all_o god_n manifestative_a mercy_n that_o be_v all_o the_o mercy_n god_n intend_v to_o manifest_v to_o his_o elect_a &_o therefore_o christ_n heart_n have_v natural_o in_o the_o temper_n of_o it_o more_o pity_n than_o all_o man_n or_o angle_n have_v as_o through_o which_o the_o mercy_n of_o the_o great_a god_n be_v to_o be_v dispense_v unto_o we_o and_o this_o heart_n of_o he_o to_o be_v the_o instrument_n of_o they_o and_o then_o this_o man_n and_o the_o heart_n of_o this_o man_n so_o frame_v be_v unite_v to_o god_n and_o be_v make_v the_o natural_a son_n of_o god_n now_o natural_a must_v mercy_n need_v be_v unto_o he_o and_o to_o strike_v and_o affect_v it_o with_o they_o §._o ii_o a_o more_o particular_a disquisition_n what_o manner_n of_o affection_n this_o be_v the_o seat_n thereof_o whether_o in_o his_o spirit_n or_o soul_n only_o or_o the_o whole_a humane_a nature_n some_o caution_n add_v but_o concern_v this_o affection_n itself_o of_o pity_n and_o compassion_n fellow-feeling_n and_o sympathy_n or_o suffer_v be_v inquire_v into_o namely_o what_o manner_n of_o affection_n this_o be_v for_o that_o such_o a_o affection_n be_v stir_v up_o in_o he_o beside_o and_o beyond_o a_o bare_a act_n of_o knowledge_n or_o remembrance_n how_o once_o it_o be_v with_o himself_o be_v evident_a by_o what_o we_o find_v in_o the_o text._n the_o apostle_n say_v not_o only_o that_o he_o remember_v how_o himself_o be_v tempt_v with_o the_o like_a infirmity_n that_o we_o be_v though_o that_o be_v necessary_o suppose_v but_o that_o he_o be_v strike_v and_o touch_v with_o the_o feel_n of_o our_o infirmity_n to_o the_o produce_v of_o which_o this_o act_n of_o remembrance_n do_v but_o subserve_v and_o he_o tell_v we_o christ_n be_v able_a and_o his_o heart_n be_v capable_a of_o thus_o be_v touch_v and_o the_o word_n
