proper_a and_o natural_a drift_n thereof_o 1._o and_o first_o this_o scripture_n can_v possible_o make_v void_a the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n if_o we_o consider_v this_o follow_a gradation_n 1._o that_o it_o be_v a_o branch_n of_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n 2._o christ_n be_v the_o mediator_n and_o performer_n of_o it_o for_o we_o 3._o christ_n promise_v the_o spirit_n for_o the_o same_o purpose_n even_o to_o lead_v we_o into_o all_o truth_n 4._o that_o the_o same_o christ_n when_o he_o ascend_v 4._o ephes_n 4._o give_v minister_n also_o for_o this_o same_o purpose_n 5._o at_o the_o same_o time_n when_o as_o he_o ascend_v to_o give_v these_o gift_n he_o send_v his_o spirit_n upon_o the_o same_o errand_n and_o therefore_o not_o likely_a to_o beat_v his_o fellow_n servant_n to_o jossle_v the_o minister_n out_o of_o the_o world_n 2._o now_o for_o the_o meaning_n of_o this_o place_n in_o a_o word_n it_o be_v either_o to_o be_v take_v hyperbolical_o or_o comparative_o but_o mediate_o still_o or_o with_o calvin_n restrain_v the_o accent_n to_o these_o late_a word_n say_v know_v the_o lord_n the_o meaning_n then_o be_v no_o more_o than_o this_o as_o the_o effect_n of_o the_o pour_v forth_o of_o the_o spirit_n there_o shall_v be_v a_o general_a profession_n of_o the_o name_n of_o god_n abroad_o knowledge_n cover_v the_o earth_n as_o water_n do_v the_o sea_n in_o a_o general_a sense_n of_o know_v the_o lord_n therefore_o they_o shall_v not_o need_v every_o one_o to_o teach_v his_o neighbour_n say_v know_v the_o lord_n after_o this_o manner_n say_v know_v the_o lord_n for_o all_o shall_v know_v i_o etc._n etc._n and_o therefore_o to_o conclude_v the_o text_n forementioned_a speak_v not_o the_o ministry_n null_a but_o effectual_a god_n will_v not_o take_v away_o mean_v but_o make_v mean_n more_o prosperous_a by_o a_o more_o especial_a presence_n and_o help_n of_o his_o spirit_n god_n will_v teach_v we_o by_o his_o son_n christ_n will_v instruct_v we_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o the_o spirit_n shall_v lead_v we_o into_o all_o accommodum_fw-la universal_a accommodum_fw-la truth_n by_o the_o faithful_a ministry_n of_o the_o word_n and_o observe_v this_o covenant_n be_v in_o force_n as_o well_o then_o as_o now_o then_o why_o 1_o note_v 1_o shall_v it_o thursday_n the_o preach_n of_o the_o word_n more_o now_o than_o then_o 2._o the_o ministry_n
