they_o and_o what_o be_v there_o in_o the_o world_n which_o they_o can_v see_v by_o such_o a_o glorious_a such_o a_o infinite_a light_n as_o this_o be_v by_o this_o light_n they_o see_v not_o only_o the_o superficies_n but_o the_o very_a substance_n and_o contexture_n of_o every_o creature_n they_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o look_v upon_o as_o exact_o as_o if_o it_o be_v perfect_o anatomize_v and_o lay_v open_a before_o they_o by_o this_o they_o see_v the_o several_a virtue_n quality_n and_o operation_n of_o thing_n here_o below_o and_o the_o great_a end_n and_o purpose_n for_o which_o they_o be_v design_v by_o this_o they_o see_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o ebb_a and_o flow_v of_o the_o sea_n and_o other_o great_a phoenomena_fw-la of_o nature_n which_o so_o much_o puzzle_v philosophy_n and_o make_v it_o but_o a_o mere_a conjecture_n by_o this_o they_o see_v the_o secret_a and_o wonderful_a power_n that_o god_n have_v put_v into_o all_o animal_n and_o vegetable_n of_o propagate_a their_o respective_a species_n so_o that_o none_o of_o they_o ever_o do_v or_o can_v ever_o fail_v to_o be_v in_o the_o world_n by_o this_o they_o see_v both_o the_o composition_n and_o the_o several_a motion_n of_o the_o sun_n and_o all_o the_o other_o planet_n as_o well_o as_o fix_a star_n and_o what_o influence_n they_o have_v upon_o terrestrial_a body_n by_o this_o they_o see_v the_o wise_a establishment_n of_o second_o cause_n how_o they_o depend_v upon_o one_o another_o and_o all_o upon_o the_o first_o the_o sight_n of_o which_o and_o suchlike_a thing_n must_v needs_o be_v a_o extraordinary_a pleasure_n to_o they_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o most_o admirable_a art_n and_o contrivance_n they_o observe_v in_o they_o and_o also_o because_o their_o faculty_n be_v by_o this_o mean_v employ_v to_o the_o proper_a use_n for_o which_o they_o be_v make_v and_o to_o which_o they_o therefore_o tend_v for_o as_o god_n make_v all_o thing_n for_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o own_o glory_n he_o endue_v man_n with_o reason_n on_o purpose_n that_o they_o may_v behold_v and_o admire_v the_o glory_n of_o those_o perfection_n which_o he_o manifest_v in_o they_o and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o all_o thing_n natural_o tend_v to_o their_o end_n all_o man_n natural_o desire_v to_o know_v and_o many_o apply_v their_o mind_n whole_o to_o find_v out_o such_o thing_n as_o those_o be_v and_o if_o they_o can_v but_o guess_v at_o any_o of_o they_o with_o the_o least_o show_n of_o reason_n or_o so_o much_o as_o probability_n they_o be_v mighty_o please_v with_o it_o but_o what_o a_o pleasure_n then_o must_v it_o be_v to_o have_v a_o full_a view_n and_o prospect_n of_o they_o and_o of_o that_o infinite_a wisdom_n power_n and_o goodness_n which_o appear_v in_o they_o as_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n have_v by_o that_o light_n which_o shine_v upon_o their_o inheritance_n moreover_o by_o this_o light_n they_o look_v back_o upon_o their_o former_a life_n and_o see_v the_o steady_a hand_n of_o providence_n order_v and_o overrule_a not_o only_o the_o great_a occurrence_n but_o even_o the_o least_o circumstance_n in_o they_o and_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n make_v some_o use_n or_o other_o of_o every_o one_o of_o they_o to_o work_v they_o over_o to_o himself_o by_o this_o they_o see_v god_n infinite_a love_n and_o goodness_n to_o his_o church_n militant_a here_o on_o earth_n in_o all_o the_o strait_n and_o difficulty_n he_o bring_v it_o into_o and_o how_o good_a and_o necessary_a it_o be_v for_o it_o that_o every_o thing_n shall_v be_v just_a as_o it_o what_o a_o deal_n of_o work_n have_v we_o to_o do_v before_o we_o can_v get_v thither_o but_o bless_a be_v god_n we_o be_v in_o the_o ready_a way_n live_v in_o such_o a_o church_n wherein_o we_o have_v all_o thing_n that_o can_v be_v desire_v in_o order_n to_o it_o let_v we_o not_o then_o despair_n but_o use_v the_o utmost_a of_o our_o care_n and_o study_v to_o qualify_v ourselves_o aright_o for_o it_o and_o we_o can_v miss_v of_o it_o for_o which_o purpose_n therefore_o let_v we_o consider_v in_o the_o next_o place_n how_o we_o may_v be_v right_o qualify_v or_o as_o the_o apostle_n here_o speak_v make_v meet_v to_o be_v partaker_n of_o this_o inheritance_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o light_n where_o we_o may_v observe_v by_o the_o way_n that_o the_o apostle_n here_o suppose_v or_o rather_o take_v it_o for_o grant_v that_o all_o man_n be_v not_o meet_v for_o it_o than_o which_o nothing_o can_v be_v more_o certain_a none_o be_v meet_a to_o partake_v of_o the_o inheritance_n of_o the_o saint_n but_o only_o they_o who_o be_v saint_n themselves_o god_n himself_o have_v exclude_v all_o other_o from_o it_o by_o his_o eternal_a and_o irrevocable_a decree_n that_o without_o holiness_n no_o man_n shall_v see_v the_o lord_n and_o indeed_o none_o but_o saint_n be_v 14._o subject_n capable_a of_o it_o for_o all_o other_o be_v still_o in_o their_o natural_a and_o sinful_a estate_n their_o mind_n be_v so_o stuff_v with_o vicious_a and_o gross_a humour_n that_o they_o can_v see_v the_o light_n and_o so_o whole_o incline_v and_o bend_v upon_o sensual_a object_n that_o they_o can_v take_v no_o pleasure_n in_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n but_o rather_o be_v altogether_o unclean_a and_o carnal_a they_o have_v a_o utter_a aversion_n if_o not_o a_o antipathy_n against_o such_o pure_a and_o spiritual_a delight_n as_o be_v direct_o contrary_a to_o their_o corrupt_a nature_n insomuch_o that_o heaven_n itself_o will_v seem_v more_o like_a hell_n than_o heaven_n to_o they_o the_o place_n will_v seem_v melancholy_a the_o company_n irksome_a the_o work_n tedious_a the_o light_a troublesome_a every_o thing_n uneasy_a and_o disagreeable_a as_o suppose_v it_o shall_v please_v almighty_a god_n to_o take_v we_o all_o up_o immediate_o from_o this_o place_n into_o the_o high_a heaven_n and_o there_o set_v we_o all_o just_a at_o our_o saviour_n elbow_n all_o such_o who_o be_v real_a saint_n among_o we_o who_o love_n god_n above_o all_o thing_n how_o glad_a will_v they_o be_v to_o see_v he_o they_o love_v to_o see_v their_o saviour_n shine_v in_o all_o his_o glory_n how_o sudden_o will_v they_o strike_v up_o with_o the_o choir_n of_o heaven_n in_o sing_v forth_o the_o praise_n of_o he_o that_o bring_v they_o thither_o what_o infinite_a pleasure_n will_v they_o take_v in_o the_o place_n the_o work_n the_o company_n and_o every_o thing_n they_o see_v there_o but_o as_o for_o other_o who_o be_v still_o in_o their_o sin_n and_o mind_n only_o earthly_a thing_n how_o sad_a and_o disconsolate_a will_v they_o be_v they_o will_v wonder_v to_o see_v the_o saint_n so_o pleasant_a and_o joyful_a for_o as_o for_o their_o part_n they_o can_v see_v nothing_o there_o which_o they_o care_v for_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o light_n they_o will_v be_v still_o in_o darkness_n in_o sorrow_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o joy_n they_o can_v hear_v that_o heavenly_a music_n or_o if_o they_o do_v it_o will_v sound_v harsh_a all_o discord_n to_o they_o they_o can_v taste_v of_o those_o spiritual_a dainty_n or_o if_o they_o do_v they_o can_v not_o relish_v nor_o find_v any_o sweetness_n in_o they_o they_o can_v see_v the_o face_n of_o god_n or_o if_o they_o do_v they_o will_v not_o be_v please_v but_o terrify_v and_o confound_v at_o it_o and_o wish_v with_o all_o their_o soul_n to_o be_v out_o of_o that_o sad_a place_n again_o that_o they_o may_v mind_v the_o business_n and_o enjoy_v the_o pleasure_n they_o like_v better_o if_o that_o be_v heaven_n they_o never_o desire_v to_o come_v there_o any_o more_o and_o all_o because_o they_o want_v that_o principle_n of_o true_a grace_n and_o holiness_n which_o shall_v make_v they_o saint_n and_o so_o capacitate_v they_o for_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o those_o holy_a pleasure_n without_o which_o a_o blind_a man_n may_v as_o well_o delight_n in_o picture_n the_o deaf_a in_o music_n yea_o a_o brute_n beast_n in_o metaphysic_n as_o they_o in_o heaven_n or_o in_o god_n himself_o by_o this_o therefore_o we_o may_v see_v how_o necessary_a it_o be_v to_o be_v holy_a before_o we_o can_v be_v happy_a pure_a in_o heart_n before_o we_o can_v see_v god_n real_a and_o true_a saint_n before_o we_o can_v partake_v of_o their_o inheritance_n in_o light_n and_o by_o consequence_n as_o ever_o we_o desire_v to_o go_v to_o heaven_n when_o we_o die_v we_o must_v take_v care_n while_o we_o live_v to_o get_v our_o heart_n purge_v from_o all_o corrupt_a affection_n our_o mind_n enlighten_v and_o our_o soul_n sanctify_v throughout_o and_o incline_v whole_o unto_o god_n so_o as_o to_o prefer_v he_o at_o least_o in_o some_o degree_n before_o all_o thing_n else_o that_o so_o we_o may_v go_v out_o of_o this_o world_n right_o dispose_v and_o fit_v to_o behold_v the_o light_n of_o his_o countenance_n and_o to_o solace_v ourselves_o in_o it_o as_o the_o high_a object_n of_o our_o soul_n desire_n and_o then_o we_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o our_o desire_n shall_v be_v full_o satisfy_v for_o our_o soul_n will_v be_v no_o soon_o loosen_a from_o our_o body_n but_o they_o will_v be_v immediate_o carry_v up_o to_o heaven_n and_o there_o partake_v of_o the_o inheritance_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o light_n and_o at_o the_o last_o day_n our_o body_n shall_v be_v unite_v to_o our_o soul_n again_o and_o then_o both_o in_o soul_n and_o body_n we_o shall_v enjoy_v all_o we_o can_v desire_v for_o evermore_o but_o who_o be_v sufficient_a for_o these_o thing_n how_o can_v we_o who_o be_v bear_v and_o have_v live_v so_o long_o in_o sin_n ever_o be_v make_v so_o pure_a and_o holy_a as_o to_o be_v meet_a to_o live_v with_o saint_n and_o angel_n with_o christ_n and_o god_n himself_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v it_o be_v i_o confess_v no_o easy_a matter_n but_o howsoever_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o every_o one_o here_o present_a to_o be_v so_o nay_o more_o than_o that_o none_o of_o we_o can_v fail_v of_o it_o unless_o we_o be_v fail_v to_o ourselves_o in_o our_o endeavour_n after_o it_o as_o we_o may_v easy_o perceive_v if_o we_o do_v but_o consider_v how_o other_o have_v be_v and_o so_o how_o our_o nature_n upon_o he_o he_o give_v himself_o for_o we_o as_o to_o redeem_v we_o from_o all_o iniquity_n so_o to_o purify_v to_o himself_o a_o peculiar_a people_n zealous_a of_o good_a work_n 14._o and_o so_o he_o be_v make_v unto_o we_o wisdom_n as_o well_o as_o righteousness_n sanctification_n as_o well_o as_o redemption_n 30._o that_o as_o we_o be_v justify_v and_o redeem_v from_o our_o sin_n and_o to_o crown_v they_o with_o that_o success_n as_o to_o make_v we_o sincere_o pious_a for_o which_o purpose_n as_o he_o sanctify_v our_o (null)_o nature_n in_o general_n by_o assume_v it_o into_o capacity_n like_v unto_o himself_o and_o partaker_n of_o his_o own_o nature_n now_o the_o great_a thing_n which_o he_o require_v of_o we_o in_o order_n to_o his_o do_v this_o great_a work_n for_o we_o
