the_o rest_n and_o so_o may_v be_v more_o proper_o say_v to_o be_v either_o a_o pastor_n or_o a_o teacher_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o that_o be_v a_o evangelist_n may_v in_o some_o sort_n be_v able_a to_o act_v as_o a_o pastor_n or_o a_o teacher_n so_o he_o that_o be_v a_o pastor_n may_v in_o some_o sort_n be_v able_a to_o act_v as_o a_o evangelist_n or_o a_o teacher_n though_o in_o a_o especial_a manner_n he_o may_v be_v fit_v to_o do_v the_o work_n of_o a_o pastor_n and_o so_o of_o the_o rest_n so_o that_o the_o reason_n why_o they_o be_v particular_o speak_v of_o be_v because_o that_o some_o saint_n may_v be_v more_o eminent_o fit_v for_o one_o of_o they_o then_o for_o the_o rest_n and_o not_o that_o they_o that_o have_v one_o of_o these_o gift_n have_v only_o one_o of_o those_o gift_n and_o be_v utter_o void_a of_o the_o rest_n and_o this_o will_v be_v the_o more_o confirm_v and_o clear_v by_o compare_v this_o with_o that_o passage_n 1_o cor._n 12._o 8_o 9_o 10._o for_o to_o one_o be_v give_v by_o the_o spirit_n the_o word_n of_o wisdom_n to_o another_o tbe_n word_n of_o knowledge_n by_o the_o same_o spirit_n to_o another_o faith_n by_o the_o same_o spirit_n to_o another_o the_o gift_n of_o heal_a by_o the_o same_o spirit_n to_o another_o the_o work_n of_o miracle_n to_o another_o pprophecy_n to_o another_o discern_v of_o spirit_n to_o another_o divers_a kind_n of_o tongue_n to_z another_o the_o interpretation_n of_o tongue_n here_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o several_a gift_n and_o say_v that_o one_o be_v give_v to_o one_o and_o another_o to_o another_o and_o a_o three_o to_o a_o three_o etc._n etc._n and_o his_o meaning_n be_v that_o one_o saint_n be_v more_o eminent_a for_o one_o gift_n and_o another_o for_o another_o and_o not_o that_o he_o that_o have_v the_o word_n of_o wisdom_n have_v no_o knowledge_n nor_o no_o faith_n
they_o neither_o yet_o they_o can_v be_v without_o the_o use_n of_o prayer_n and_o prophesy_a and_o therefore_o we_o see_v that_o saint_n have_v always_o enjoy_v they_o during_o all_o the_o time_n they_o have_v be_v tread_v under_o foot_n the_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n and_o pprophecy_n have_v be_v still_o upon_o they_o and_o herein_o they_o have_v appear_v to_o be_v both_o live_a christian_n and_o wake_v christian_n a_o dead_a man_n can_v breathe_v nor_o can_v a_o sleep_a man_n speak_v but_o when_o a_o man_n breathe_v and_o speak_v he_o be_v discover_v to_o be_v both_o a_o live_n and_o a_o wake_v man_n now_o if_o christian_n be_v not_o dead_a christian_n then_o sure_o they_o will_v both_o breathe_v and_o speak_v as_o soon_o as_o the_o breath_n of_o spiritual_a life_n be_v in_o a_o man_n he_o be_v a_o man_n that_o breathe_v towards_o god_n in_o prayer_n continual_o and_o when_o he_o be_v grow_v up_o a_o little_a he_o be_v able_a to_o speak_v to_o edification_n exhortation_n and_o comfort_n though_o some_o be_v more_o fluent_a in_o speak_v and_o have_v better_a utterance_n than_o other_o yet_o scripture_n all_o in_o who_o there_o be_v true_a spiritual_a life_n in_o some_o sort_n or_o other_o do_v so_o speak_v as_o to_o edify_v exhort_v and_o comfort_v one_o another_o let_v such_o therefore_o as_o be_v in_o this_o error_n beware_v how_o they_o entertain_v principle_n so_o contrary_a to_o the_o very_a life_n of_o christianity_n and_o o_o do_v you_o not_o stop_v your_o breath_n what_o though_o you_o be_v in_o babylon_n yet_o you_o must_v breathe_v there_o otherwise_o you_o be_v stifle_v beware_v therefore_o of_o be_v stifle_v breathe_v free_o towards_o thy_o god_n wherever_o thou_o be_v thou_o may_v have_v communion_n with_o he_o in_o any_o place_n though_o thou_o be_v with_o daniel_n in_o babylon_n and_o in_o a_o lion_n den_n yet_o the_o breathe_n and_o the_o pant_n of_o thy_o soul_n after_o god_n be_v acceptable_a to_o he_o object_n but_o perhaps_o some_o may_v say_v when_o i_o go_v about_o to_o pray_v i_o find_v much_o deadness_n fleshliness_n carnality_n and_o coldness_n in_o myself_o both_o when_o i_o be_o to_o pray_v public_o with_o other_o saint_n and_o when_o i_o be_o private_o retire_v and_o i_o look_v upon_o this_o as_o a_o effect_n of_o babylonish_n darkness_n i_o question_v therefore_o whether_o i_o may_v pray_v until_o it_o be_v whole_o do_v away_o answ_n the_o apostle_n when_o he_o bid_v we_o in_o all_o thing_n to_o make_v know_v our_o request_n to_o god_n and_o to_o pray_v without_o cease_v and_o to_o continue_v in_o prayer_n and_o to_o pray_v continual_o phil._n 4._o 6._o 1_o thess_n 5._o 17._o col._n 4._o 2._o do_v very_o well_o know_v that_o saint_n do_v carry_v flesh_n about_o they_o which_o will_v be_v oppose_v the_o spiritâ—_n and_o therefore_o he_o himself_o say_v when_o i_o will_v do_v good_a evil_a be_v present_a with_o i_o and_o the_o flesh_n lust_v against_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o spirit_n against_o the_o flesh_n and_o these_o be_v contrary_a the_o one_o to_o the_o other_o so_o that_o you_o can_v do_v the_o thing_n that_o you_o will_v gal._n 5._o 17._o i_o say_v the_o apostle_n know_v this_o that_o the_o flesh_n will_v oppose_v but_o he_o will_v not_o have_v saint_n upon_o that_o ground_n to_o neglect_v spiritual_a duty_n for_o that_o be_v to_o suffer_v the_o flesh_n to_o get_v the_o victory_n but_o rather_o to_o be_v the_o more_o frequent_a in_o spiritual_a duty_n and_o to_o be_v the_o more_o incessant_a in_o holy_a performance_n especial_o in_o prayer_n that_o so_o they_o may_v overcome_v the_o flesh_n that_o so_o oppose_v again_o second_o when_o the_o apostle_n press_v saint_n to_o spiritual_a duty_n he_o speak_v to_o they_o as_o know_v that_o though_o they_o carry_v flesh_n still_o about_o they_o yet_o that_o they_o have_v a_o spirit_n in_o they_o in_o which_o they_o be_v to_o act_v towards_o god_n and_o that_o though_o flesh_n be_v act_v in_o they_o yet_o at_o the_o same_o time_n that_o spirit_n may_v act_v in_o they_o and_o therefore_o when_o saint_n come_v to_o pray_v though_o the_o flesh_n do_v endeavour_n to_o put_v out_o the_o life_n of_o the_o spirit_n yet_o the_o spirit_n strive_v to_o mortify_v the_o flesh_n and_o though_o both_o act_n at_o the_o same_o time_n yet_o god_n be_v able_a to_o distinguish_v between_o what_o come_v from_o his_o own_o spirit_n which_o be_v always_o in_o his_o saint_n and_o what_o come_v from_o flesh_n in_o they_o and_o though_o the_o flesh_n do_v act_v its_o part_n yet_o jesus_n christ_n have_v by_o one_o offering_n do_v away_o all_o the_o corruption_n of_o the_o flesh_n in_o his_o people_n god_n can_v notwithstanding_o the_o flesh_n in_o they_o smell_v a_o sweet_a savour_n in_o those_o performance_n in_o which_o there_o be_v much_o weakness_n and_o flesh_n and_o but_o little_a of_o the_o spirit_n appear_v there_o be_v a_o atonement_n already_o make_v for_o the_o sin_n of_o their_o holy_a thing_n so_o that_o saint_n you_o have_v spirit_n in_o you_o as_o well_o as_o flesh_n you_o be_v not_o to_o neglect_v to_o perform_v spiritual_a duty_n because_o you_o do_v not_o see_v flesh_n whole_o subdue_v for_o that_o be_v never_o yet_o do_v in_o any_o saint_n while_o he_o remain_v in_o this_o tabernacle_n but_o in_o that_o spirit_n to_o act_n especial_o in_o prayer_n even_o when_o you_o find_v flesh_n also_o act_v for_o if_o you_o have_v but_o a_o spiritual_a desire_n to_o have_v that_o flesh_n subdue_v that_o desire_n come_v from_o the_o spirit_n and_o that_o spark_n be_v neglect_v may_v seem_v to_o die_v but_o if_o according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o paul_n to_o timothy_n we_o stir_v up_o that_o gift_n of_o the_o spirit_n we_o have_v receive_v how_o weak_a soever_o it_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v that_o spark_n may_v grow_v up_o into_o a_o flame_n and_o get_v strength_n in_o a_o great_a measure_n to_o burn_v up_o that_o corruption_n that_o so_o trouble_n and_o burden_n we_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n give_v this_o rule_n to_o continue_v in_o prayer_n saint_n do_v you_o desire_v to_o have_v flesh_n subdue_v then_o continue_v so_o desire_v and_o be_v continual_o lift_v up_o your_o spirit_n to_o your_o god_n in_o prayer_n against_o it_o and_o that_o you_o may_v do_v so_o take_v all_o opportunity_n to_o retire_v yourself_o from_o other_o employment_n that_o you_o may_v lift_v up_o your_o soul_n unto_o god_n in_o prayer_n and_o do_v not_o content_v yourselves_o with_o bare_o have_v these_o desire_n and_o so_o be_v continual_o plunge_v yourselves_o in_o worldly_a employment_n in_o converse_v with_o sublunary_a thing_n but_o improve_v all_o opportunity_n to_o retire_v yourselves_o from_o converse_v with_o these_o thing_n for_o the_o enliven_a and_o enflame_v of_o your_o spirit_n and_o do_v not_o persuade_v yourselves_o that_o while_o you_o be_v discourse_v of_o your_o bargain_n and_o trade_n and_o land_n and_o live_n and_o clothing_n and_o i_o know_v not_o what_o that_o you_o pray_v as_o well_o as_o when_o you_o retire_v yourself_o into_o a_o private_a place_n to_o lift_v up_o your_o soul_n in_o secret_a to_o god_n in_o prayer_n for_o our_o saviour_n give_v you_o this_o direction_n when_o you_o pray_v enter_v into_o your_o closert_n and_o shut_v your_o door_n and_o pray_v to_o your_o father_n which_o be_v in_o secret_a etc._n etc._n matth._n 6._o 6._o and_o our_o saviour_n himself_o observe_v the_o same_o rule_n for_o it_o be_v often_o say_v of_o he_o that_o he_o go_v apart_o into_o a_o mountain_n to_o pray_v and_o continue_v whole_a night_n in_o prayer_n unto_o god_n the_o night_n be_v the_o time_n in_o which_o he_o be_v free_a from_o other_o employment_n and_o so_o act._n 10._o 9_o it_o be_v say_v that_o peter_n go_v upon_o the_o house_n to_o pray_v and_o true_o if_o saint_n do_v improve_v more_o opportunity_n and_o take_v more_o advantage_n thus_o to_o retire_v themselves_o to_o converse_v with_o god_n so_o much_o coldness_n and_o lukewarmnesse_n worldliness_n covetousness_n pride_n and_o contention_n will_v not_o appear_v in_o they_o but_o it_o have_v be_v the_o design_n of_o the_o common_a enemy_n to_o take_v off_o saint_n from_o these_o warrantable_a profitable_a and_o advantageous_a retirement_n wherein_o they_o may_v enjoy_v communion_n with_o god_n to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v continue_v in_o a_o more_o loose_a and_o carnal_a frame_n to_o the_o sade_n of_o their_o spirit_n and_o to_o the_o scandal_n of_o their_o most_o holy_a profession_n but_o another_o may_v say_v i_o find_v that_o our_o saviour_n say_v unto_o his_o disciple_n whatsoever_o you_o shall_v ask_v in_o my_o name_n that_o will_v i_o do_v joh._n 14._o 13._o and_o john_n say_v we_o have_v confidence_n towards_o god_n and_o whatsoever_o we_o ask_v we_o receive_v of_o he_o 1_o joh._n 3._o
21_o 22._o and_o again_o this_o be_v the_o confidence_n that_o we_o have_v in_o he_o that_o if_o we_o ask_v any_o thing_n according_a to_o his_o will_n he_o hear_v we_o and_o if_o we_o know_v that_o he_o hear_v we_o whatsoever_o we_o ask_v we_o know_v that_o we_o have_v the_o petition_n that_o we_o desire_v of_o he_o 1_o john_n 5._o 14_o 15._o and_o by_o these_o passage_n it_o appear_v that_o saint_n in_o the_o primitive_a time_n before_o the_o great_a fall_v away_o and_o the_o rise_n of_o the_o beast_n when_o they_o pray_v have_v assurance_n that_o they_o shall_v have_v the_o petition_n they_o desire_v but_o when_o i_o pray_v i_o have_v no_o such_o confidence_n in_o many_o thing_n and_o many_o time_n it_o be_v a_o long_a time_n before_o my_o petition_n be_v answer_v and_o in_o some_o petition_n i_o have_v a_o plain_a denial_n and_o therefore_o i_o question_v whether_o it_o be_v not_o sinful_a for_o i_o so_o to_o continue_v pray_v until_o i_o be_o full_o come_v out_o of_o babylon_n and_o then_o i_o conceive_v that_o i_o shall_v have_v such_o a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n as_o the_o saint_n have_v in_o the_o primitive_a time_n and_o have_v confidence_n that_o whatsoever_o i_o ask_v of_o god_n i_o shall_v receive_v of_o he_o answ_n first_o that_o the_o saint_n while_o they_o have_v be_v under_o the_o bondage_n of_o babylon_n have_v have_v a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n and_o have_v have_v their_o petition_n hear_v be_v evident_a for_o their_o prayer_n have_v bring_v judgement_n upon_o their_o enemy_n be_v present_v upon_o the_o golden_a altar_n and_o if_o it_o have_v be_v no_o sin_n for_o these_o to_o continue_v pray_v though_o they_o be_v in_o babylon_n then_o doubtless_o it_o will_v be_v no_o sin_n for_o thou_o to_o pray_v though_o thou_o shall_v be_v in_o babylon_n but_o second_o whereas_o thou_o say_v that_o in_o some_o thing_n thou_o have_v no_o confidence_n that_o thou_o shall_v be_v hear_v and_o sometime_o it_o be_v long_o before_o some_o petition_n be_v grant_v and_o other_o petition_n be_v plain_o deny_v let_v i_o tell_v thou_o that_o if_o in_o those_o thing_n in_o which_o thou_o have_v no_o confidence_n thou_o do_v pray_v for_o they_o with_o the_o submission_n of_o thy_o will_n unto_o the_o will_n of_o the_o father_n it_o may_v be_v no_o sin_n for_o thou_o so_o to_o pray_v for_o the_o thing_n that_o thy_o soul_n desire_v though_o thou_o have_v no_o confidence_n of_o they_o if_o they_o be_v such_o thing_n as_o be_v not_o sinful_a in_o themselves_o as_o such_o as_o these_o be_v not_o viz._n to_o be_v deliver_v from_o bodily_a distemper_n to_o be_v keep_v from_o danger_n in_o travel_v whether_o by_o sea_n or_o land_n to_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o tyranny_n of_o unreasonable_a man_n that_o seek_v to_o do_v thou_o hurt_v or_o to_o have_v parent_n or_o child_n or_o wife_n or_o husband_n or_o brethren_n or_o sister_n or_o any_o other_o friend_n deliver_v from_o bodily_a distemper_n or_o danger_n in_o travel_v etc._n etc._n or_o to_o have_v they_o bring_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n from_o darkness_n to_o light_n and_o from_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n to_o god_n or_o to_o have_v they_o keep_v from_o error_n and_o seduce_a spirit_n i_o say_v these_o and_o such_o like_a thing_n which_o be_v not_o sinful_a in_o themselves_o if_o thy_o soul_n desire_v they_o it_o will_v be_v no_o sin_n for_o thou_o to_o pray_v for_o they_o though_o thou_o have_v no_o confidence_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v grant_v so_o thou_o pray_v for_o these_o with_o the_o submit_v of_o thy_o will_n to_o the_o will_n of_o the_o father_n and_o this_o be_v clear_a in_o that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n himself_o in_o who_o be_v no_o sin_n do_v pray_v so_o with_o submission_n to_o the_o father_n will_n for_o deliverance_n from_o that_o bitter_a cup_n which_o he_o be_v to_o drink_v of_o though_o he_o have_v no_o confidence_n that_o 〈◊〉_d petition_n shall_v be_v grant_v so_o that_o saint_n may_v pray_v for_o those_o thing_n which_o thâ—y_o do_v not_o infallible_o know_v to_o be_v according_a to_o the_o mind_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o it_o may_v be_v no_o sin_n so_o to_o pray_v if_o they_o do_v pray_v with_o submission_n to_o the_o father_n will_n and_o in_o so_o pray_v they_o may_v be_v acceptable_a to_o the_o father_n who_o many_o time_n do_v grant_v some_o of_o those_o petition_n as_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v put_v up_o and_o at_o other_o time_n after_o he_o have_v make_v his_o people_n to_o wait_v long_o and_o to_o pray_v importunate_o for_o they_o and_o if_o some_o of_o they_o be_v deny_v yet_o their_o person_n and_o prayer_n may_v be_v accept_v and_o may_v be_v and_o sometime_o be_v grant_v another_o way_n god_n give_v they_o in_o that_o which_o be_v better_o than_o the_o thing_n desire_v but_o three_o all_o saint_n may_v have_v and_o doubtless_o many_o saint_n have_v as_o much_o confidence_n now_o in_o prayer_n as_o the_o saint_n have_v in_o the_o primitive_a time_n for_o what_o be_v the_o confidence_n that_o saint_n than_o have_v say_v john_n this_o be_v the_o confidence_n that_o we_o have_v in_o he_o that_o if_o we_o ask_v any_o thing_n according_a to_o his_o will_n he_o hear_v we_o this_o be_v the_o primitive_a saint_n confidence_n and_o what_o saint_n have_v not_o this_o confidence_n now_o that_o if_o we_o ask_v any_o thing_n according_a to_o his_o will_n he_o hear_v we_o saint_n be_v now_o confident_a that_o the_o thing_n they_o pray_v for_o which_o god_n will_v and_o intend_v to_o give_v unto_o they_o shall_v be_v grant_v only_o they_o have_v not_o a_o infallible_a spirit_n so_o as_o to_o know_v in_o all_o thing_n what_o it_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n to_o bestow_v upon_o they_o but_o many_o thing_n they_o do_v know_v and_o other_o they_o have_v strong_a persuasion_n of_o when_o god_n in_o a_o more_o than_o ordinary_a manner_n move_v their_o spirit_n to_o pray_v for_o they_o thus_o saint_n have_v a_o holy_a boldness_n and_o confidence_n in_o approach_v to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n by_o the_o mediation_n of_o jesus_n christ_n come_v to_o god_n in_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n be_v confident_a of_o have_v every_o good_a thing_n that_o a_o gracious_a and_o love_a father_n see_v good_a for_o they_o all_o their_o petition_n be_v hear_v they_o be_v confident_a that_o if_o they_o ask_v any_o thing_n according_a to_o his_o will_n he_o hear_v they_o and_o no_o saint_n in_o the_o primitive_a time_n have_v other_o confidence_n so_o that_o saint_n it_o be_v no_o sin_n for_o you_o to_o continue_v pray_v make_v know_v your_o request_n to_o god_n but_o it_o be_v your_o duty_n so_o to_o do_v but_o four_o though_o flesh_n do_v break_v out_o and_o in_o some_o thing_n saint_n do_v not_o pray_v aright_o yet_o they_o be_v not_o therefore_o whole_o to_o neglect_v pray_v know_v that_o god_n still_o delight_v in_o the_o breathe_n of_o his_o own_o spirit_n in_o they_o although_o they_o have_v many_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n in_o they_o and_o five_o if_o they_o find_v their_o faith_n be_v not_o so_o high_a nor_o their_o confidence_n so_o strong_a as_o some_o primitive_a saint_n be_v than_o ought_v they_o to_o pray_v for_o the_o increase_n of_o faith_n if_o they_o be_v weak_a in_o faith_n let_v they_o have_v recourse_n to_o he_o who_o be_v the_o author_n and_o finisher_n of_o faith_n for_o the_o strengthen_n of_o it_o who_o will_v give_v liberal_o and_o will_v not_o upbraid_v his_o people_n though_o they_o be_v weak_a though_o a_o man_n that_o be_v altogether_o faithless_a have_v no_o promise_n sure_a to_o he_o yet_o the_o man_n weak_a in_o faith_n have_v as_o many_o promise_n make_v to_o he_o as_o he_o that_o be_v strong_a in_o faith_n so_o that_o though_o it_o be_v weak_a yet_o if_o it_o be_v a_o true_a faith_n in_o he_o that_o pray_v for_o the_o increase_n of_o faith_n he_o shall_v find_v access_n to_o the_o throne_n of_o grace_n and_o so_o much_o for_o the_o clear_n of_o this_o deduction_n 7._o seven_o the_o next_o deduction_n be_v to_o discover_v the_o excellency_n and_o preciousnes_n of_o saint_n from_o the_o 4_o &_o 5_o verse_n they_o be_v discover_v to_o be_v excellent_a in_o that_o they_o be_v say_v to_o be_v olive_n tree_n they_o be_v not_o as_o the_o dry_a tree_n who_o be_v nigh_o unto_o curse_v who_o end_n be_v to_o be_v burn_v he._n 6._o 8._o but_o bless_a and_o happy_a be_v the_o condition_n of_o way_n that_o so_o they_o may_v avoid_v they_o and_o many_o other_o be_v the_o excellent_a property_n of_o this_o natural_a light_n but_o many_o more_o be_v the_o precious_a effect_n of_o spiritual_a light_n and_o this_o be_v that_o that_o saint_n have_v though_o other_o be_v in_o the_o darkness_n of_o hell_n yet_o they_o enjoy_v the_o light_n of_o heaven_n the_o lord_n god_n almighty_a and_o the_o lamb_n be_v a_o light_n unto_o they_o rev._n 21._o 23._o and_o in_o this_o respect_n also_o saint_n be_v excellent_a and_o precious_a one_o but_o i_o will_v be_v brief_a in_o this_o particular_a and_o therefore_o shall_v not_o further_o enlarge_v it_o deduction_n 8._o eight_o the_o next_o deduction_n in_o which_o i_o shall_v be_v brief_a also_o be_v to_o discover_v from_o the_o five_o verse_n the_o dangerous_a condition_n of_o those_o wicked_a man_n that_o be_v enemy_n to_o saint_n though_o saint_n seem_v to_o be_v poor_a weak_a despicable_a creature_n and_o their_o enemy_n in_o outward_a appearance_n seem_v to_o be_v strong_a and_o potent_a and_o to_o be_v overcomer_n of_o they_o yet_o these_o seem_a weak_a saint_n be_v strong_a and_o mighty_a for_o they_o can_v but_o send_v up_o a_o message_n to_o heaven_n and_o bring_v secret_a and_o invisible_a arrow_n from_o thence_o which_o shall_v destroy_v their_o enemy_n the_o breath_n of_o their_o mouth_n kindle_v coal_n of_o fire_n that_o destroy_v their_o enemy_n and_o if_o any_o man_n will_v hurt_v they_o he_o must_v with_o this_o fire_n be_v kill_v little_o do_v wicked_a man_n think_v that_o when_o they_o deal_v cruel_o to_o show_v the_o danger_n man_n run_v upon_o when_o they_o offer_v to_o wrong_v the_o saint_n of_o god_n it_o be_v zech_n 12._o 3._o in_o that_o day_n say_v the_o lord_n will_v i_o make_v jerusalem_n one_o say_v then_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o probability_n that_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v again_o get_v ground_n of_o they_o and_o bring_v they_o again_o into_o a_o low_a condition_n for_o inchiquin_n in_o ireland_n and_o poyer_n in_o wales_n and_o a_o great_a party_n in_o scotland_n do_v seem_v to_o act_v afresh_o for_o the_o beast_n and_o do_v express_o declare_v against_o the_o witness_n under_o the_o title_n of_o independent_o and_o sectary_n etc._n etc._n but_o if_o the_o witness_n be_v indeed_o slay_v and_o raise_v then_o undoubted_o they_o shall_v indeed_o go_v on_o conquer_a and_o overcome_v the_o beast_n and_o the_o beast_n shall_v no_o more_o recover_v power_n over_o they_o to_o put_v they_o into_o a_o distress_a condition_n for_o then_o the_o day_n of_o their_o prophesy_v in_o sackcloth_n in_o sad_a and_o sable_a garment_n be_v expire_v but_o how_o can_v it_o be_v say_v to_o be_v so_o since_o the_o beast_n seem_v in_o a_o probable_a way_n of_o recover_a power_n over_o they_o again_o now_o that_o this_o seem_a ground_n of_o fear_n may_v be_v remove_v i_o shall_v lay_v down_o these_o three_o consideration_n first_o that_o though_o the_o beast_n shall_v no_o more_o prevail_v over_o the_o witness_n to_o bring_v they_o down_o yet_o he_o may_v and_o must_v endeavour_v to_o oppose_v the_o witness_n and_o again_o to_o make_v war_n against_o they_o that_o they_o may_v bring_v he_o down_o for_o now_o that_o the_o time_n of_o his_o prevalencie_n over_o the_o saint_n be_v expire_v he_o to_o their_o ruin_n and_o therefore_o their_o rise_n and_o stir_n shall_v be_v rather_o encouragement_n than_o discouragement_n unto_o the_o saint_n but_o second_o that_o the_o witness_n be_v indeed_o slay_v and_o rise_v and_o do_v stand_v upon_o their_o foot_n be_v altogether_o unquestionable_a because_o as_o appear_v by_o the_o foregoing_a discourse_n this_o pprophecy_n of_o the_o slay_v of_o the_o witness_n and_o of_o their_o rise_n etc._n etc._n be_v in_o every_o particular_a iota_fw-la and_o tittle_n of_o it_o most_o exact_o accomplish_v i_o will_v not_o here_o recapitulate_v any_o of_o the_o particular_n but_o refer_v the_o reader_n to_o the_o foregoing_a discourse_n but_o shall_v here_o only_o desire_v the_o reader_n to_o consider_v of_o this_o one_o in_o a_o more_o especial_a
