whenever_o the_o heavenly_a spirit_n shall_v see_v good_a to_o visit_v we_o remember_v thy_o victory_n be_v through_o prayer_n and_o not_o through_o study_n only_o not_o that_o we_o shall_v neglect_v the_o study_n of_o wisdom_n neither_o and_o beside_o that_o prayer_n through_o importunity_n will_v make_v a_o real_a change_n in_o our_o life_n for_o as_o we_o know_v to_o pray_v in_o our_o sin_n or_o for_o a_o thing_n unlawful_a be_v vain_a so_o by_o our_o constant_a prayer_n we_o shall_v do_v a_o double_a duty_n and_o force_v ourselves_o into_o purity_n as_o well_o as_o obtain_v the_o blessing_n we_o desire_v beside_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v as_o journey_n of_o a_o thousand_o step_n in_o faith_n and_o therefore_o we_o must_v allow_v so_o many_o prayer_n at_o least_o to_o our_o importunity_n for_o believe_v i_o if_o you_o faint_v at_o the_o first_o ten_o or_o hundred_o ask_v you_o will_v never_o attain_v it_o so_o that_o though_o thy_o prayer_n obtain_v not_o immediate_o neither_o faint_a nor_o expostulate_v arrogant_o with_o god_n but_o humble_o know_v thy_o fault_n and_o pray_v his_o mercy_n and_o his_o will_v be_v do_v nor_o despair_v ever_o for_o faith_n have_v good_a ground_n and_o have_v overcome_v study_v therefore_o to_o purify_v thyself_o for_o ever_o on_o and_o then_o by_o thy_o importunity_n thou_o must_v prevail_v and_o god_n will_v cleanse_v thou_o for_o thy_o constancy_n and_o sincerity's_n sake_n for_o though_o no_o man_n can_v merit_v before_o he_o yet_o he_o have_v promise_v to_o reward_v every_o man_n according_a to_o his_o
