that_o it_o may_v thence_o appear_v according_a to_o their_o own_o proposition_n which_o side_n be_v wrong_a and_o in_o this_o disquisition_n we_o will_v not_o expect_v any_o advantage_n from_o be_v introduce_v some_o show_v themselves_o dissatisfy_v therewith_o and_o unwilling_a to_o admit_v the_o use_n thereof_o pretend_v that_o they_o do_v not_o see_v the_o service_n of_o the_o thing_n have_v â—â—â—â—â—red_v they_o of_o the_o esteem_n they_o covet_v among_o friend_n they_o then_o appear_v more_o open_o to_o oppose_v revile_v and_o vilify_v those_o thing_n which_o before_o they_o pretend_v to_o the_o doubtful_a of_o and_o not_o to_o see_v a_o need_n of_o or_o service_n for_o call_v they_o in_o contempt_n and_o derision_n man_n order_n human_a edict_n canon_n constitution_n prescription_n papist_n imposition_n innovation_n bull_n etc._n etc._n not_o spare_v any_o reproachful_a term_n which_o they_o think_v may_v beget_v or_o increase_v in_o their_o proselit_v party_n a_o dislike_n of_o the_o thing_n recommend_v and_o a_o disesteem_n of_o friend_n this_o their_o unruly_a and_o turbulent_a behaviour_n give_v occasion_n to_o friend_n to_o reprove_v they_o and_o exhort_v they_o to_o study_v to_o be_v quiet_a and_o have_v regard_n to_o the_o church_n peace_n and_o sure_o have_v they_o indeed_o have_v any_o regard_n to_o the_o love_n of_o their_o brethren_n to_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n to_o the_o reputation_n of_o truth_n in_o the_o world_n or_o to_o the_o honour_n of_o that_o holy_a name_n of_o the_o lord_n by_o which_o we_o be_v call_v they_o will_v never_o have_v begin_v much_o less_o have_v carry_v on_o a_o difference_n 〈◊〉_d so_o high_a a_o breach_n of_o charity_n as_o they_o have_v do_v and_o that_o about_o such_o thing_n as_o some_o of_o themselves_o have_v declare_v to_o be_v in_o their_o esteem_n but_o trifle_n small_a thing_n of_o little_a or_o no_o 〈◊〉_d but_o notwithstanding_o the_o endeavour_n the_o labour_n and_o travel_n that_o be_v use_v by_o friend_n to_o have_v reduce_v they_o to_o a_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d they_o grow_v still_o high_o and_o high_o in_o their_o opposition_n and_o 〈◊〉_d carriage_n till_o at_o length_n they_o make_v not_o only_o a_o breach_n of_o charity_n but_o of_o meeting_n also_o â—ending_v off_o from_o friend_n and_o set_v up_o separate_a meeting_n of_o their_o own_o for_o themselves_o and_o their_o party_n to_o meet_v apart_o in_o in_o separation_n from_o and_o opposition_n to_o the_o constant_a settle_a meeting_n of_o friend_n not_o only_o with_o respect_n to_o the_o outward_a affair_n and_o business_n of_o the_o church_n but_o even_o with_o respect_n to_o public_a worship_n too_o and_o in_o several_a print_a book_n and_o paper_n write_v by_o some_o and_o industrious_o spread_v by_o other_o of_o they_o publish_v the_o difference_n to_o the_o world_n expose_v friend_n as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lay_v to_o the_o contempt_n and_o scorn_n of_o the_o profane_a as_o apostate_n innovator_n idolater_n setter_n up_o of_o image_n idol-prophet_n possess_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o belial_n and_o the_o like_a and_o not_o only_o to_o the_o government_n but_o even_o to_o the_o rabble_n also_o as_o a_o treacherous_a company_n introducer_n of_o popery_n and_o but_o one_o step_n from_o it_o etc._n etc._n and_o that_o in_o a_o juncture_n of_o time_n when_o the_o then_o present_a discovery_n of_o the_o popish_a plot_n have_v exasperate_v the_o nation_n against_o all_o that_o be_v but_o suspect_v to_o favour_v that_o communion_n that_o this_o be_v the_o true_a state_n of_o the_o case_n though_o but_o brief_o set_v forth_o i_o appeal_v to_o all_o friend_n that_o understand_v it_o and_o hereupon_o leave_v it_o to_o all_o such_o to_o judge_v in_o the_o fear_n their_o own_o conclusion_n wrong_v the_o adversary_n have_v grant_v in_o their_o 16_o page_n that_o those_o that_o be_v true_o leave_v with_o the_o one_o spirit_n of_o truth_n must_v and_o will_v to_o bring_v every_o one_o to_o a_o acquaintance_n with_o this_o heavenly_a gift_n in_o themselves_o and_o a_o true_a dependence_n on_o it_o for_o guidence_n by_o it_o so_o on_o the_o other_o hand_n they_o caution_n all_o to_o beware_v that_o they_o be_v not_o beguile_v by_o the_o enemy_n in_o themselves_o who_o form_n likeness_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n on_o purpose_n to_o deceive_v and_o mislead_v thereby_o and_o for_o the_o same_o end_n transform_v himself_o into_o a_o angel_n of_o light_n and_o take_v he_o for_o their_o guide_n and_o leader_n as_o too_o many_o have_v do_v instead_o of_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n and_o then_o demand_v to_o be_v leave_v to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o when_o indeed_o they_o be_v go_v from_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o and_o oppose_v the_o manifestation_n operation_n and_o production_n thereof_o in_o other_o so_o that_o the_o controversy_n right_o state_v and_o true_o consider_v be_v not_o about_o be_v leave_v or_o not_o leave_v to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n for_o that_o all_o shall_v be_v leave_v to_o that_o be_v never_o doubt_v much_o less_o deny_v by_o friend_n but_o about_o be_v leave_v or_o not_o leave_v to_o that_o which_o be_v pretend_v to_o be_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n but_o indeed_o and_o in_o truth_n be_v not_o it_o and_o by_o the_o fruit_n it_o bring_v forth_o sufficient_o manifest_v that_o it_o be_v not_o it_o they_o say_v it_o be_v true_a to_o plead_v this_o against_o our_o understanding_n be_v a_o abuse_n of_o the_o plea_n and_o be_v little_o better_a than_o heresy_n to_o countenance_n or_o defend_v a_o be_v of_o a_o contrary_a opposite_a mind_n from_o the_o rest_n that_o be_v lead_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v to_o abuse_v the_o plea_n and_o to_o commit_v as_o the_o author_n of_o the_o examination_n there_o say_v the_o great_a contradiction_n to_o that_o very_a doctrine_n of_o scripture_n viz._n that_o all_o shall_v be_v guide_v by_o the_o grace_n and_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o for_o the_o end_n of_o that_o doctrine_n be_v certainty_n which_o the_o author_n there_o confirm_v by_o several_a scripture-evidence_n as_o jer._n 32.39_o ezek._n 11.19_o act_n 4.32_o etc._n etc._n this_o the_o adversary_n do_v not_o attempt_v to_o answer_v but_o turn_v the_o matter_n from_o plead_v this_o against_o unity_n to_o plead_v it_o against_o understanding_n which_o they_o say_v be_v little_o beâ—ter_a than_o heresy_n and_o grant_v that_o to_o do_v thus_o be_v a_o abuse_n of_o the_o plea_n but_o can_v nothing_o be_v a_o abuse_n of_o the_o plea_n but_o use_v it_o against_o understanding_n what_o if_o any_o have_v so_o little_a understanding_n in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n as_o to_o believe_v that_o god_n people_n may_v be_v lead_v by_o the_o one_o spirit_n of_o truth_n to_o disagree_v act_n contrary_a to_o and_o oppose_v one_o another_o in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n as_o the_o adversary_n say_v in_o their_o 16_o page_n there_o be_v no_o necessity_n that_o they_o must_v agree_v in_o thing_n circumstantial_a be_v not_o this_o to_o abuse_v the_o plea_n though_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v do_v against_o understanding_n but_o for_o direct_o contrary_a to_o that_o for_o which_o it_o be_v give_v for_o the_o end_n for_o which_o it_o be_v give_v be_v to_o bring_v man_n into_o unity_n both_o with_o god_n from_o who_o the_o devil_n by_o transgression_n divide_v they_o and_o with_o one_o another_o in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n in_o who_o be_v no_o variableness_n nor_o shadow_n of_o turn_v and_o therefore_o to_o plead_v be_v it_o for_o here_o be_v not_o only_o no_o coherence_n between_o their_o premise_n and_o conclusion_n but_o a_o plain_a depart_n from_o the_o term_n of_o the_o proposition_n which_o be_v a_o plead_v this_o of_o be_v leave_v to_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o against_o unity_n which_o word_n they_o whole_o leave_v out_o and_o instead_o thereof_o put_v in_o to_o plead_v this_o against_o this_o or_o that_o thing_n bâ—ought_v in_o by_o this_o or_o that_o man_n etc._n etc._n this_o show_v their_o shuffle_n and_o idle_a way_n of_o argue_v however_o we_o deny_v that_o any_o
