have_v more_o conscience_n of_o our_o ordinary_a thought_n keep_v a_o better_a watch_n of_o they_o especial_o if_o we_o grow_v to_o conceit_v that_o thought_n be_v free_a and_o so_o we_o may_v think_v conscience_n of_o much_o comfort_n of_o the_o same_o but_o if_o they_o be_v in_o any_o sort_n give_v way_n unto_o they_o may_v prove_v occasion_n of_o prophanesse_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o secret_a atheism_n and_o also_o of_o hypocrisy_n and_o carnal_a worship_n yea_o if_o they_o be_v not_o speedy_o qualify_v &_o suppress_v they_o may_v be_v occasion_n by_o it_o ckle_v the_o affection_n and_o will_v shine_v entire_o solace_v itself_o in_o it_o god_n and_o they_o hurt_v also_o other_o many_o way_n as_o hinder_v we_o from_o do_v that_o good_a unto_o they_o which_o we_o ought_v and_o we_o may_v have_v lose_v all_o if_o he_o have_v leave_v we_o whole_o to_o ourselves_o therefore_o in_o that_o somewhat_o remain_v though_o it_o be_v ready_a to_o die_v yet_o there_o be_v time_n to_o strengthen_v it_o and_o so_o to_o recover_v again_o there_o be_v some_o hold_n in_o god_n that_o he_o can_v raise_v we_o up_o again_o especial_o see_v our_o thought_n do_v not_o only_o dislike_v of_o this_o decay_n but_o be_v quicken_v by_o faith_n lay_v hold_v of_o eternal_a life_n and_o can_v see_v beyond_o all_o our_o present_a decay_n be_v they_o not_o thereby_o a_o gracious_a evidence_n dart_n of_o the_o devil_n be_v more_o earnest_a in_o our_o supplication_n to_o our_o god_n for_o his_o continual_a assistance_n etc._n etc._n wait_v with_o patience_n the_o recompense_n of_o the_o reward_n and_o yet_o groan_v to_o be_v deliver_v from_o this_o body_n of_o death_n these_o thought_n accompany_v the_o saint_n in_o their_o great_a fall_n how_o can_v prove_v but_o very_o comfortable_a unto_o they_o 4_o in_o our_o most_o desperate_a desertion_n and_o sound_v of_o mind_n in_o regard_n thereof_o &_o all_o such_o tentation_n of_o satan_n as_o may_v arise_v thereupon_o as_o first_o that_o these_o thought_n and_o effect_n thereof_o arise_v rather_o from_o the_o distemper_n of_o the_o disease_n or_o from_o the_o mind_n pervert_v and_o abuse_v with_o false_a light_n or_o rather_o obscure_v and_o blind_v that_o it_o can_v make_v use_n of_o the_o true_a light_n and_o therefore_o may_v be_v reject_v of_o we_o as_o bastard_n and_o changeling_n and_o so_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v liable_a to_o they_o and_o yet_o they_o may_v serve_v gracious_o when_o we_o come_v to_o discern_v right_o of_o they_o both_o to_o advance_v the_o mercy_n and_o power_n of_o god_n in_o preserve_v we_o from_o such_o effect_n which_o our_o thought_n portend_v and_o also_o to_o humble_v we_o more_o deep_o in_o the_o sense_n of_o our_o vileness_n that_o be_v subject_a to_o be_v abuse_v and_o distract_v thereby_o a_o second_o comfort_n herein_o be_v that_o though_o satan_n may_v abuse_v our_o heart_n by_o cast_v in_o strange_a and_o fearful_a tentation_n and_o so_o provoke_v we_o to_o conceive_v that_o which_o indeed_o be_v not_o in_o our_o heart_n yet_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v only_o know_v to_o god_n and_o so_o there_o may_v be_v some_o truth_n of_o grace_n in_o it_o which_o satan_n can_v discern_v which_o may_v stay_v we_o from_o yield_v to_o his_o tentation_n &_o give_v we_o power_n &_o strength_n to_o recover_v â—_o resist_v the_o same_o yea_o we_o through_o the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n may_v know_v that_o in_o we_o which_o satan_n can_v discern_v and_o so_o may_v trust_v our_o own_o heart_n above_o satan_n may_v reject_v all_o his_o tentation_n and_o delusion_n of_o our_o heart_n with_o this_o that_o our_o heart_n approve_v not_o thereof_o that_o they_o speak_v better_a thing_n unto_o we_o that_o they_o contradict_v and_o repel_v satan_n suggestion_n and_o so_o though_o we_o be_v cast_v into_o any_o such_o extremity_n whereby_o we_o may_v be_v deprive_v of_o the_o use_n of_o the_o outward_a man_n of_o speech_n and_o other_o mean_n of_o god_n worship_n yet_o here_o be_v our_o comfort_n that_o we_o may_v think_v and_o meditate_v on_o god_n and_o his_o goodness_n by_o our_o thought_n we_o may_v have_v most_o free_a communion_n with_o our_o god_n when_o we_o be_v restrain_v from_o all_o fellowship_n with_o man_n 5_o this_o a_o doctrine_n of_o our_o thought_n yield_v a_o excellent_a comfort_n of_o our_o hope_n and_o interest_n in_o the_o happiness_n of_o a_o better_a life_n and_o freedom_n from_o the_o bondage_n and_o pressure_n of_o they_o 1_o in_o that_o they_o be_v so_o insatiable_a and_o in_o a_o manner_n infinite_a that_o no_o earthly_a thing_n can_v give_v that_o content_a unto_o they_o but_o shall_v still_o they_o be_v hunger_a after_o better_a thing_n therefore_o see_v the_o lord_n have_v make_v every_o thing_n to_o his_o end_n which_o be_v the_o satisfaction_n thereof_o though_o it_o be_v a_o special_a part_n of_o the_o wicked_n torment_n of_o hell_n that_o their_o restless_a heart_n shall_v never_o be_v satisfy_v their_o shall_v remain_v in_o they_o a_o endless_a desire_n of_o sin_n though_o the_o mean_n be_v deny_v yet_o the_o lord_n will_v fulfil_v the_o desire_n of_o they_o that_o fear_v he_o what_o be_v want_v for_o the_o present_n shall_v in_o due_a time_n be_v supply_v which_o see_v it_o can_v be_v in_o this_o life_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o clog_n and_o measure_n of_o
