and_o so_o your_o bodily_a presence_n before_o god_n in_o the_o assembly_n for_o a_o great_a space_n of_o time_n than_o ordinary_a to_o this_o head_n i_o may_v refer_v likewise_o those_o contribution_n that_o you_o use_v to_o make_v unto_o the_o poor_a upon_o such_o occasion_n as_o these_o now_o all_o these_o be_v thing_n very_o fit_a to_o be_v do_v but_o yet_o you_o must_v take_v heed_n this_o be_v the_o stumble_a stone_n that_o i_o speak_v of_o that_o i_o will_v remove_v first_o that_o you_o place_v no_o weight_n at_o all_o or_o as_o little_a as_o possible_a may_v be_v in_o the_o judgement_n and_o the_o great_a thing_n of_o the_o law_n the_o great_a thing_n of_o this_o day_n and_o service_n be_v the_o exercise_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o first_o the_o summon_n and_o gather_v together_o into_o your_o memory_n next_o a_o serious_a and_o affectuous_a consideration_n than_o a_o acknowledgement_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o nation_n so_o likewise_o a_o confess_v in_o this_o sense_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o your_o own_o soul_n and_o the_o sin_n of_o those_o that_o be_v under_o your_o hand_n and_o charge_n yea_o and_o of_o the_o sin_n of_o your_o forefather_n even_o to_o the_o break_n of_o your_o heart_n and_o the_o humble_v and_o lay_v low_a the_o smite_v down_o and_o wound_v your_o spirit_n and_o conscience_n in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n 3_o next_o to_o this_o your_o serious_a purpose_n and_o resolution_n take_v hold_v of_o by_o a_o fast_a and_o a_o single_a hand_n of_o be_v divorce_v from_o all_o your_o know_a way_n of_o your_o several_a sin_n not_o only_o your_o pluck_n out_o and_o cut_v off_o but_o cast_v from_o you_o also_o your_o right_a eye_n and_o your_o right_a hand_n this_o be_v another_o thing_n that_o be_v of_o the_o main_a body_n or_o rather_o of_o the_o very_a heart_n and_o soul_n of_o this_o duty_n viz._n reformation_n and_o truth_n of_o repentance_n last_o your_o humble_a request_n and_o earnest_a strive_n &_o struggle_n with_o god_n for_o the_o pardon_n of_o the_o sin_n you_o have_v confess_v as_o well_o national_a as_o personal_a the_o put_v forth_o your_o strength_n and_o might_n yea_o and_o the_o increase_a your_o strength_n and_o might_n the_o provoke_a your_o heart_n to_o do_v more_o and_o more_o in_o this_o kind_n in_o importune_v the_o god_n of_o mercy_n to_o pour_v out_o of_o his_o grace_n and_o goodness_n abundant_o upon_o your_o person_n and_o upon_o your_o land_n in_o all_o manner_n of_o expression_n thereof_o which_o concern_v the_o peace_n either_o of_o the_o one_o or_o the_o other_o for_o there_o publican_n and_o harlot_n first_o repent_v of_o their_o sin_n and_o then_o afterward_o believe_v john_n and_o that_o their_o priest_n and_o elder_n be_v reprove_v for_o not_o do_v the_o like_a but_o the_o sense_n and_o importance_n of_o our_o saviour_n reproof_n in_o this_o place_n seem_v only_o this_o that_o their_o perverseness_n and_o obstinacy_n in_o the_o way_n of_o their_o unbelief_n be_v such_o that_o the_o example_n of_o publican_n and_o harlot_n before_o their_o eye_n who_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o repent_v of_o their_o sin_n upon_o the_o preach_n of_o john_n wrought_v not_o at_o all_o upon_o they_o they_o still_o harden_v themselves_o in_o the_o sin_n of_o their_o unbelief_n and_o have_v no_o relent_v in_o they_o no_o inclination_n or_o desire_n at_o all_o to_o believe_v so_o that_o the_o repentance_n here_o speak_v of_o which_o seem_v to_o go_v before_o and_o to_o conduce_v and_o dispose_v towards_o a_o full_a perfect_a and_o complete_a believe_a be_v not_o that_o circumstance_n of_o the_o place_n as_o by_o the_o agreement_n and_o sympathy_n of_o other_o scripture_n but_o that_o now_o we_o neither_o have_v time_n nor_o otherwise_o any_o urgent_a occasion_n to_o do_v it_o 19_o the_o sum_n then_o of_o all_o that_o we_o have_v reason_v and_o lay_v down_o in_o this_o four_o member_n of_o our_o answer_n come_v to_o this_o that_o how_o sinful_a vile_a and_o any_o power_n give_v we_o against_o the_o truth_n but_o for_o the_o truth_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v whilst_o you_o walk_v orderly_o &_o as_o become_v the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n which_o be_v the_o word_n of_o truth_n i_o have_v no_o power_n to_o judge_v censure_n or_o cast_v you_o out_o but_o only_o when_o you_o sin_n against_o the_o gospel_n and_o be_v a_o shame_n and_o reproach_n unto_o it_o then_o indeed_o i_o have_v a_o power_n to_o stand_v up_o for_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o to_o judge_v and_o censure_n according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o your_o sin_n
