critical_a inquiry_n into_o spiritual_a and_o immaterial_a substance_n nevertheless_o it_o be_v very_o desirable_a to_o know_v in_o what_o condition_n our_o soul_n will_v be_v when_o they_o leave_v the_o body_n and_o what_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o that_o abode_n into_o which_o we_o must_v go_v but_o which_o we_o never_o see_v into_o what_o region_n we_o must_v then_o take_v our_o flight_n and_o by_o their_o discourse_n which_o be_v likely_a enough_o but_o principal_o because_o this_o be_v more_o unpleasant_a than_o their_o other_o visit_n it_o be_v very_o advisable_v therefore_o that_o we_o render_v those_o evil_n which_o we_o can_v avoid_v familiar_a to_o we_o by_o frequent_a meditation_n and_o this_o will_v diminish_v their_o formidableness_n and_o violence_n though_o indeed_o when_o a_o man_n have_v think_v never_o so_o long_o pain_n will_v be_v pain_n still_o a_o thing_n that_o whenever_o it_o come_v will_v cause_v indelightful_a sensation_n in_o our_o spirit_n the_o body_n by_o its_o near_a alliance_n will_v communicate_v to_o the_o soul_n a_o perception_n of_o all_o the_o mesery_n it_o suffer_v and_o when_o the_o one_o half_a of_o a_o man_n be_v ill_a the_o other_o half_n can_v fare_v very_o well_o it_o be_v the_o peculiar_a vanity_n of_o the_o stoic_n as_o some_o observe_v that_o they_o will_v be_v philosophize_v after_o the_o rate_n of_o angel_n and_o discourse_n without_o consider_v that_o their_o body_n be_v one_o half_a of_o their_o nature_n and_o that_o their_o soul_n be_v not_o disengage_v from_o matter_n and_o by_o consequence_n have_v sensual_a appetite_n too_o gross_a to_o be_v satisfy_v by_o bare_a thought_n and_o reflection_n and_o sensitive_a pain_n too_o sharp_a to_o be_v allay_v with_o word_n and_o subtlety_n when_o we_o consider_v what_o evil_n our_o sickness_n bring_v upon_o these_o poor_a frail_a body_n of_o we_o sure_o we_o shall_v never_o too_o much_o dote_v upon_o they_o when_o all_o the_o care_n we_o can_v use_v will_v not_o preserve_v they_o from_o the_o grave_a he_o that_o be_v proud_a of_o his_o body_n be_v as_o foolish_a as_o if_o he_o shall_v dote_v upon_o a_o flower_n which_o a_o unseen_a storm_n may_v deprive_v of_o all_o its_o glory_n or_o which_o if_o it_o be_v let_v alone_o and_o meet_v with_o no_o accident_n will_v of_o its_o self_n wither_v and_o deay_n or_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v admire_v a_o
