what_o with_o fear_n and_o what_o with_o doubt_n and_o what_o with_o grief_n for_o their_o use_n of_o christ_n so_o unkind_o and_o leave_v he_o certain_o they_o be_v in_o a_o perplex_a and_o up_o all_o in_o the_o general_a term_n go_v tell_v peter_n among_o the_o rest_n that_o have_v offend_v more_o than_o the_o rest_n if_o you_o will_v know_v whether_o you_o be_v true_a brethren_n or_o no_o or_o son_n of_o god_n or_o no_o make_v a_o use_n of_o trial_n by_o what_o be_v former_o deliver_v i_o shall_v enlarge_v myself_o in_o that_o point_n because_o all_o depend_v upon_o it_o god_n be_v the_o father_n of_o all_o by_o creation_n he_o be_v the_o father_n in_o a_o general_a covenant_n of_o all_o that_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n and_o be_v baptize_v but_o if_o they_o have_v no_o in_o a_o fatherly_a manner_n so_o there_o be_v some_o intimation_n and_o insinuation_n and_o hint_n though_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n witness_v not_o full_o and_o glorious_o to_o the_o soul_n always_o because_o we_o be_v not_o fit_v for_o it_o but_o sometime_o in_o great_a affliction_n and_o desertion_n where_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v there_o be_v communion_n with_o god_n in_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n and_o when_o the_o voice_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n speak_v not_o loud_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n there_o be_v something_o in_o we_o renew_v by_o the_o spirit_n there_o be_v something_o of_o the_o new_a creature_n when_o a_o christian_a can_v hear_v god_n say_v to_o his_o soul_n i_o be_o thy_o salvation_n yet_o a_o man_n may_v his_o sorrow_n and_o grief_n to_o god_n and_o leave_v they_o in_o his_o bosom_n they_o be_v break_v word_n perhaps_o but_o god_n can_v pluck_v sense_n out_o of_o they_o god_n know_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o sigh_v of_o his_o own_o spirit_n though_o break_a speech_n so_o that_o where_o there_o be_v any_o tongue_n for_o god_n in_o a_o man_n there_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o prayer_n there_o be_v not_o a_o strangeness_n of_o god_n to_o go_v altogether_o by_o but_o the_o spirit_n have_v a_o kind_n of_o acquaintance_n with_o god_n and_o it_o go_v to_o god_n in_o a_o familiarity_n and_o lay_v forth_o grief_n and_o put_v forth_o petition_n in_o another_o manner_n than_o the_o world_n do_v again_o a_o christian_a in_o the_o worst_a condition_n god_n not_o only_o shine_v on_o he_o through_o the_o cloud_n but_o there_o be_v a_o spirit_n in_o he_o that_o sigh_v to_o go_v through_o all_o thick_a cloud_n to_o god_n there_o be_v a_o spirit_n of_o supplication_n and_o of_o love_n in_o some_o degree_n for_o that_o be_v promise_v the_o spirit_n shall_v help_v our_o infirmity_n when_o we_o know_v not_o how_o to_o pray_v the_o intercourse_n and_o communion_n god_n with_o god_n be_v never_o break_v off_o where_o there_o be_v any_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n therefore_o ionas_n and_o david_n and_o the_o rest_n though_o they_o can_v not_o pray_v yet_o they_o sigh_v to_o god_n and_o will_v not_o leave_v he_o if_o they_o can_v not_o embrace_v christ_n they_o will_v touch_v the_o hem_n of_o his_o garment_n they_o will_v not_o yield_v to_o the_o stream_n altogether_o but_o strive_v against_o it_o and_o though_o they_o be_v carry_v away_o with_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o stream_n and_o see_v no_o goodness_n in_o themselves_o yet_o they_o that_o be_v with_o they_o shall_v see_v a_o spirit_n strive_v to_o another_o condition_n than_o they_o be_v in_o something_o of_o christ_n something_o of_o god_n spirit_n there_o will_v be_v in_o they_o and_o take_v they_o at_o the_o worst_a they_o will_v appear_v better_a than_o the_o civil_a man_n that_o think_v himself_o a_o glorious_a man_n though_o he_o have_v nothing_o but_o for_o show_v and_o fashion_n who_o will_v be_v in_o such_o a_o man_n condition_n without_o some_o brokenness_n of_o heart_n some_o sigh_n 2._o likewise_o we_o may_v know_v it_o by_o our_o sympathy_n and_o antipathy_n our_o sympathy_n with_o they_o run_v present_o to_o god_n he_o be_v their_o rock_n their_o refuge_n and_o place_n of_o defence_n repair_v to_o he_o by_o faith_n and_o prayer_n the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o tower_n of_o defence_n the_o 20_o righteous_a in_o trouble_n fly_v thither_o and_o they_o be_v safe_a a_o man_n may_v know_v what_o his_o god_n be_v by_o his_o retire_n in_o time_n of_o extremity_n your_o carnal_a man_n if_o he_o have_v any_o place_n to_o retire_v to_o it_o be_v to_o his_o friend_n to_o his_o purse_n to_o bring_v he_o out_o he_o will_v go_v to_o that_o which_o his_o instinct_n will_v special_o lead_v he_o to_o in_o time_n of_o trouble_n as_o every_o creature_n together_o with_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o have_v receive_v a_o instinct_n from_o god_n to_o go_v to_o the_o place_n of_o refuge_n wherein_o it_o be_v safe_a as_o the_o weak_a creature_n have_v strong_a refuge_n the_o coney_n a_o poor_a weak_a creature_n hide_v themselves_o most_o strong_o out_o of_o instinct_n they_o have_v their_o own_o weakness_n so_o god_n child_n be_v privy_a of_o his_o weakness_n and_o need_v of_o support_n and_o strength_n have_v the_o strong_a support_n that_o may_v be_v and_o run_v to_o his_o heed_n we_o deceive_v not_o ourselves_o i_o beseech_v you_o salvation_n depend_v upon_o it_o 3._o we_o may_v further_o try_v whether_o our_o claim_n of_o god_n to_o be_v our_o god_n be_v a_o good_a claim_n on_o good_a ground_n by_o our_o side_v by_o our_o partake_n for_o those_o who_o god_n be_v a_o god_n to_o in_o a_o peculiar_a manner_n will_v be_v sure_a to_o side_n with_o god_n god_n have_v have_v which_o have_v proud_a heart_n never_o break_v the_o return_n of_o these_o favour_n will_v be_v comfort_n in_o death_n and_o glory_n in_o heaven_n what_o will_v the_o fruit_n of_o a_o believe_a in_o the_o four_o psalm_n prefer_v before_o all_o outward_a comfort_n whatsoever_o god_n reveal_v of_o himself_o as_o the_o scripture_n call_v it_o when_o god_n reveal_v himself_o to_o his_o to_o be_v they_o with_o peace_n and_o joy_n and_o comfort_n accompany_v it_o this_o be_v peculiar_a 3._o again_o a_o peculiar_a favour_n and_o lovetoken_n of_o god_n as_o to_o have_v seasonable_a and_o sanctify_a correction_n to_o have_v correction_n when_o they_o be_v seasonable_a when_o we_o be_v in_o a_o way_n of_o stray_v and_o god_n will_v bring_v we_o home_o by_o correction_n and_o when_o we_o have_v sanctify_v correction_n we_o find_v by_o experience_n that_o all_o be_v turn_v to_o our_o good_a if_o i_o find_v any_o thing_n turn_v i_o to_o my_o god_n i_o know_v i_o be_o he_o if_o my_o cross_n be_v seasonable_a and_o sanctify_a he_o be_v my_o god_n for_o he_o take_v that_o course_n with_o i_o which_o he_o take_v with_o his_o own_o people_n these_o be_v singular_a sign_n of_o god_n love_n when_o he_o bestow_v the_o grace_n of_o his_o spirit_n his_o comfort_n peace_n and_o joy_n though_o not_o large_o yet_o so_o much_o as_o shall_v sustain_v the_o soul_n and_o then_o when_o he_o
