speedy_o and_o effectual_o reach_v both_o person_n and_o case_n which_o be_v quite_o out_o of_o our_o reach_n or_o the_o reach_n of_o any_o one_o beside_o bimself_n question_n vi._n how_o may_v a_o christian_a come_v to_o bear_v the_o great_a worldly_a loss_n gracious_o by_o a_o christian_a here_o we_o mean_v one_o that_o be_v so_o indeed_o such_o a_o one_o be_v not_o so_o secure_v by_o the_o promise_n or_o so_o hedge_v in_o by_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n but_o that_o outward_a loss_n as_o well_o as_o other_o affliction_n may_v sometime_o break_v in_o upon_o he_o here_o yea_o such_o as_o be_v very_o great_a any_o but_o such_o as_o will_v quite_o undo_v he_o as_o a_o christian_a from_o these_o indeed_o he_o be_v as_o secure_v and_o safe_a as_o eternal_a truth_n can_v make_v he_o and_o shall_v be_v so_o while_o that_o endure_v but_o yet_o he_o may_v loose_v his_o staff_n though_o he_o can_v loose_v his_o god_n i_o think_v it_o may_v not_o be_v amiss_o here_o to_o hint_n far_o in_o a_o word_n or_o two_o what_o we_o mean_v by_o his_o bear_v these_o loss_n gracious_o and_o in_o general_n i_o think_v it_o be_v to_o bear_v they_o by_o the_o special_a help_n of_o god_n holy_a spirit_n according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o his_o word_n aim_v therein_o chief_o and_o ultimate_o at_o his_o glory_n 1._o by_o the_o special_a help_n of_o god_n holy_a spirit_n for_o mere_a nature_n when_o most_o high_o refine_v and_o elevate_v will_v not_o pass_v with_o god_n for_o grace_n though_o sometime_o with_o man_n it_o may_v and_o all_o grace_n flow_v from_o the_o spirit_n the_o immediate_a inspirer_n actor_n and_o perfect_a of_o it_o in_o the_o soul_n 2._o according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o his_o word_n god_n willing_a this_o or_o that_o show_v sufficient_o that_o it_o be_v good_a or_o gracious_a yea_o it_o make_v it_o to_o be_v so_o and_o in_o his_o word_n it_o be_v that_o he_o have_v most_o full_o and_o plain_o tell_v we_o what_o his_o mind_n and_o will_n be_v and_o in_o reference_n to_o the_o case_n before_o we_o the_o scripture_n abound_v with_o that_o which_o may_v direct_v we_o in_o the_o straight_a line_n of_o our_o duty_n warn_v we_o we_o turn_v not_o aside_o to_o the_o right_a hand_n or_o to_o the_o left_a but_o i_o may_v not_o add_v more_o here_o 3._o aim_v herein_o chief_o and_o ultimate_o at_o his_o glory_n for_o though_o we_o may_v also_o contrary_a frame_n in_o we_o to_o name_v some_o of_o the_o chief_a of_o they_o 1._o pride_n a_o over_o high_a opinion_n of_o ourselves_o a_o fond_a conceit_n of_o some_o worth_a or_o defect_n in_o ourselves_o this_o be_v that_o which_o make_v we_o so_o hard_o to_o be_v please_v when_o our_o condition_n be_v at_o best_a and_o that_o which_o breed_v and_o feed_v in_o patience_n and_o discontent_n when_o by_o loss_n or_o other_o affliction_n our_o condition_n seem_v to_o be_v change_v or_o change_v for_o the_o worse_o so_o we_o must_v endeavour_v to_o get_v and_o keep_v pride_n low_o 2._o unbelief_n when_o we_o can_v trust_v god_n take_v his_o word_n lean_a upon_o a_o promise_n any_o far_a than_o we_o have_v sensible_a prop_n to_o support_v we_o it_o be_v a_o very_a sad_a and_o dreadful_a truth_n that_o though_o we_o will_v trust_v any_o man_n even_o such_o a_o one_o as_o we_o know_v to_o be_v a_o unrighteous_a dishonest_a man_n so_o far_o as_o we_o can_v see_v he_o yet_o we_o have_v
know_v this_o sin_n be_v most_o odious_a and_o unaccountable_a in_o beggar_n and_o therefore_o in_o my_o poor_a beggarly_a soul_n dear_a s._n i_o can_v tell_v you_o a_o long_a and_o sad_a story_n of_o a_o poor_a young_a man_n under_o twenty_o year_n of_o age_n who_o find_v the_o old_a man_n the_o body_n of_o sin_n exceed_v strong_a who_o many_o year_n since_o do_v lamentable_o experience_n the_o sad_a fruit_n and_o effect_n of_o original_a corruption_n and_o that_o fear_n that_o to_o this_o day_n his_o lust_n gather_v strength_n on_o he_o instead_o of_o his_o get_a ground_n on_o they_o find_v
