exercise_v hope_n and_o of_o what_o use_v this_o precious_a grace_n be_v god_n expect_v that_o your_o hope_n be_v of_o the_o right_a kind_n a_o still_a and_o steadfast_a hope_n a_o lively_a and_o last_a hope_n ground_v upon_o the_o indwel_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o soul_n and_o his_o faithfulness_n in_o his_o promise_n make_v to_o such_o soul_n and_o such_o a_o hope_n as_o this_o be_v a_o pardon_n and_o promise_v glory_n to_o all_o penitent_a believer_n that_o receive_v christ_n by_o faith_n into_o their_o soul_n and_o consent_n and_o submit_v to_o his_o sceptre_n and_o upon_o these_o have_v nothing_o of_o the_o image_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o soul_n be_v whole_o carnal_a and_o sensual_a not_o have_v the_o spirit_n be_v altogether_o destitute_a of_o save_a grace_n and_o as_o for_o his_o gift_n he_o use_v they_o for_o by_o end_n to_o quiet_a his_o conscience_n to_o keep_v up_o his_o name_n and_o credit_n among_o christian_n or_o to_o curry_v favour_n with_o some_o that_o he_o have_v a_o dependence_n upon_o as_o for_o such_o as_o labour_v under_o a_o tremble_a fear_n of_o hypocrisy_n and_o bewail_v that_o partial_a hypocrisy_n they_o find_v in_o themselves_o and_o fight_v and_o pray_v against_o it_o they_o hereby_o give_v such_o a_o evidence_n of_o their_o sincerity_n as_o declare_v that_o they_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o true_a christian_n and_o can_v be_v rank_v among_o hypocrite_n and_o their_o fault_n lie_v not_o in_o hope_v but_o in_o the_o weakness_n of_o their_o hope_n and_o oft_o in_o reject_v the_o hope_n of_o glory_n but_o the_o hypocrite_n though_o he_o be_v not_o in_o a_o hopeful_a condition_n yet_o he_o be_v common_o full_a of_o confidence_n and_o cherish_v false_a hope_n in_o himself_o but_o this_o doctrine_n overthrow_v his_o hope_n si_fw-mi tollitur_fw-la causa_fw-la tollitur_fw-la effectus_fw-la take_v away_o the_o cause_n and_o the_o effect_n cease_v now_o in_o these_o the_o experience_n of_o the_o save_a work_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o heart_n be_v want_v christ_n be_v never_o form_v in_o they_o and_o therefore_o there_o can_v be_v no_o such_o thing_n in_o they_o as_o any_o true_a hope_n of_o glory_n and_o hence_o it_o be_v the_o glory_n job_n 8.13_o 14._o the_o hypocrite_n hope_n shall_v perish_v his_o trust_n shall_v be_v a_o spider_n web_n spin_v out_o of_o a_o false_a conceit_n of_o their_o own_o brain_n and_o when_o the_o besom_n of_o destruction_n come_v it_o fail_v and_o prove_v a_o spider_n web_n for_o weakness_n and_o worth_a and_o durance_n it_o prove_v of_o no_o value_n job_n 27.8_o what_o be_v the_o hope_n of_o the_o hypocrite_n when_o god_n take_v away_o his_o soul_n then_o where_o be_v his_o hope_n alas_o he_o than_o find_v his_o hope_n turn_v into_o despair_n and_o he_o that_o hope_v for_o heaven_n be_v so_o these_o hope_n fail_v they_o when_o they_o most_o need_v they_o and_o will_v not_o pass_v for_o currant_n their_o hope_n of_o glory_n have_v not_o 〈◊〉_d grain_n of_o good_a in_o they_o they_o be_v sergeant_a coin_n away_o with_o they_o 2._o to_o profane_a wretch_n that_o live_v scandalous_a life_n wallow_v in_o wickedness_n that_o â—ne_n will_v think_v that_o they_o can_v not_o pretend_v 〈◊〉_d any_o hope_n of_o glory_n and_o yet_o i_o have_v meet_v with_o many_o of_o these_o that_o feed_v themselves_o with_o hope_n of_o glory_n though_o these_o hope_n be_v the_o child_n bread_n yet_o these_o dog_n snatch_v at_o they_o and_o they_o that_o be_v post_v towards_o hell_n will_v not_o be_v bring_v to_o see_v their_o danger_n but_o think_v they_o be_v go_v to_o heaven_n oh_o you_o that_o live_v profane_a life_n and_o yet_o hope_v for_o glory_n hear_v what_o be_v say_v of_o your_o hope_n job_n 11.20_o the_o hope_n of_o the_o wicked_a shall_v be_v as_o the_o give_v up_o of_o the_o there_o be_v many_o precious_a soul_n that_o have_v christ_n in_o they_o and_o yet_o be_v weak_a in_o faith_n and_o full_a of_o doubt_v and_o enjoy_v little_a hope_n in_o themselves_o of_o glory_n and_o i_o will_v willing_o contribute_v something_o towards_o the_o increase_n of_o their_o hope_n of_o glory_n and_o in_o order_n thereunto_o shall_v propound_v to_o such_o some_o mean_n and_o help_n that_o tend_v to_o the_o strengthen_n of_o the_o hope_n of_o glory_n and_o beseech_v they_o diligent_o to_o employ_v themselves_o in_o the_o use_n of_o they_o 1._o see_v that_o you_o praise_v god_n
