spiritual_a enemy_n to_o teach_v we_o 1._o that_o the_o godly_a be_v here_o subject_a to_o temptation_n they_o may_v not_o think_v to_o live_v secure_o 2._o that_o no_o temptation_n can_v or_o do_v befall_v we_o without_o the_o will_n and_o guidance_n of_o god_n 3._o that_o god_n will_v not_o suffer_v we_o to_o be_v tempt_v above_o our_o power_n see_v he_o will_v we_o to_o pray_v thus_o unto_o he_o 4._o that_o it_o be_v in_o god_n power_n and_o not_o in_o we_o to_o prevent_v temptation_n 5._o that_o we_o shall_v tender_v our_o brethren_n in_o their_o spiritual_a temptation_n 6._o that_o from_o 3._o that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o man_n power_n to_o free_v himself_o from_o evil_a in_o time_n of_o temptation_n 4._o that_o god_n only_o can_v and_o will_v free_v he_o from_o evil_n for_o what_o we_o be_v will_v to_o ask_v that_o we_o may_v look_v to_o obtain_v of_o god_n 5._o that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o our_o brethren_n that_o evil_o seize_v not_o upon_o they_o that_o they_o be_v not_o overcome_v in_o temptation_n the_o conclusion_n which_o be_v in_o part_n a_o reason_n why_o we_o ask_v all_o these_o of_o god_n partly_o a_o confirmation_n of_o our_o faith_n with_o a_o our_o request_n and_o what_o to_o ascribe_v unto_o god_n whence_o we_o learn_v 1._o that_o soveraginty_a power_n and_o glory_n belong_v only_o to_o god_n and_o to_o he_o to_o be_v ascribe_v 2._o that_o these_o three_o with_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o eternity_n thereof_o be_v strong_a confirmation_n of_o our_o faith_n in_o prayer_n 3._o that_o god_n kingdom_n power_n and_o glory_n be_v endless_a 4._o that_o praise_n as_o well_o as_o prayer_n be_v our_o duty_n to_o god_n amen_n it_o be_v a_o asseveration_n or_o wish_n and_o a_o earnest_a longing_n to_o have_v what_o we_o pray_v for_o and_o hence_o note_v two_o thing_n 1._o that_o the_o desire_n be_v to_o be_v inflame_v after_o those_o thing_n which_o we_o beg_v of_o god_n so_o must_v we_o be_v fervent_a in_o prayer_n 2._o that_o we_o be_v to_o be_v persuade_v that_o what_o we_o ask_v according_a to_o this_o holy_a form_n of_o prayer_n we_o shall_v obtain_v honour_n and_o glory_n and_o power_n and_o praise_n and_o dominion_n over_o all_o be_v ascribe_v to_o god_n our_o father_n in_o christ_n jesus_n by_o the_o operation_n of_o the_o spirit_n now_o and_o ever_o amen_n a_o prayer_n for_o a_o family_n at_o all_o time_n oblessed_a lord_n god_n and_o our_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n thou_o that_o love_o tender_a the_o welfare_n of_o thy_o people_n careful_o provide_v for_o they_o and_o liberal_o bestow_v majesty_n give_v grace_n o_o heavenly_a father_n that_o by_o we_o thy_o will_n may_v be_v do_v in_o earth_n as_o it_o be_v in_o heaven_n make_v we_o in_o this_o our_o pilgrimage_n while_o we_o here_o live_v from_o home_n mingle_v among_o alien_n and_o stranger_n from_o the_o life_n of_o god_n so_o faithful_a in_o believe_v so_o conscionable_a in_o live_v so_o patient_a in_o suffer_v for_o welldoing_a as_o hereby_o our_o heart_n by_o thy_o spirit_n may_v ascertain_v we_o that_o we_o be_v true_o the_o child_n of_o regeneration_n and_o grace_n work_v in_o we_o this_o good_a work_n that_o we_o may_v whole_o renounce_v our_o own_o will_n die_v to_o ourselves_o and_o to_o the_o world_n submit_v to_o thou_o and_o to_o thy_o will_n in_o every_o condition_n and_o say_v it_o be_v the_o lord_n let_v he_o do_v what_o seem_v he_o good_a what_o thou_o command_v that_o put_v into_o our_o heart_n to_o practice_v and_o who_o we_o see_v to_o be_v example_n of_o welldoing_a before_o we_o justice_n and_o honesty_n our_o keep_n in_o commendable_a frugality_n and_o our_o expend_v in_o wisdom_n and_o charity_n if_o we_o have_v but_o little_a let_v it_o content_v we_o if_o much_o make_v we_o thankful_a and_o merciful_a and_o whatsoever_o we_o possess_v of_o these_o outward_a thing_n lord_n grant_v that_o with_o a_o good_a conscience_n we_o may_v enjoy_v they_o and_o make_v a_o good_a use_n of_o they_o that_o they_o may_v be_v bless_v to_o we_o and_o we_o and_o if_o it_o please_v thou_o to_o try_v we_o in_o any_o loss_n let_v not_o our_o inward_a peace_n be_v trouble_v nor_o our_o heart_n fret_v or_o be_v any_o way_n disquiet_v there_o with_o but_o say_v content_o the_o lord_n give_v and_o the_o lord_n take_v away_o bless_a be_v his_o name_n for_o ever_o we_o know_v o_o almighty_a lord_n god_n that_o thy_o hand_n be_v not_o shorten_v thy_o goodness_n be_v not_o lessen_v nor_o the_o fountain_n of_o thy_o mercy_n draw_v dry_a but_o that_o thou_o can_v give_v we_o all_o these_o thing_n and_o whatsoever_o we_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o in_o a_o most_o plentiful_a manner_n but_o alas_o alas_o we_o look_v upon_o our_o unworthiness_n and_o our_o wretchedness_n do_v how_o usual_a a_o thing_n be_v it_o with_o we_o to_o omit_v our_o duty_n to_o thou_o and_o our_o neighbour_n and_o never_o to_o be_v grieve_v at_o it_o what_o other_o thing_n therefore_o may_v we_o look_v for_o at_o thy_o hand_n than_o thy_o deserve_a wrath_n but_o o_o our_o father_n the_o god_n of_o mercy_n that_o be_v infinite_a in_o goodness_n and_o take_v no_o pleasure_n in_o the_o death_n of_o a_o sinner_n we_o humble_o beseech_v thou_o to_o be_v merciful_a unto_o we_o to_o forgive_v we_o our_o trespass_n as_o we_o forgive_v they_o that_o trespass_n against_o us._n we_o that_o be_v by_o corruption_n of_o nature_n merciless_a through_o thy_o love_n pour_v into_o our_o heart_n do_v free_o forgive_v our_o brethren_n their_o offence_n and_o injury_n do_v unto_o we_o we_o therefore_o trust_v that_o thou_o be_v our_o father_n a_o merciful_a god_n yea_o mercy_n itself_o will_v free_o remit_v our_o sin_n and_o never_o lie_v they_o unto_o our_o charge_n in_o this_o life_n nor_o in_o
