first_o by_o cleave_v fast_o to_o the_o word_n and_o second_o experience_n of_o god_n former_a deal_n three_o by_o compare_v spiritual_a thing_n with_o spiritual_a thing_n four_o and_o look_v as_o well_o to_o the_o end_n as_o the_o beginning_n thereof_o that_o so_o we_o may_v still_o make_v choice_n of_o the_o most_o familiar_a and_o excellent_a decline_v doubtful_a and_o unnecessary_a occasion_n submit_v our_o spirit_n to_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o wise_a and_o so_o maintain_v love_n which_o be_v the_o bond_n of_o perfection_n col._n 3.15_o 26_o last_o see_v though_o fullness_n of_o joy_n be_v expect_v in_o another_o life_n &_o yet_o here_o also_o the_o saint_n may_v enjoy_v some_o comfortable_a measure_n thereof_o 5._o psal_n 4.4_o 5._o in_o all_o occasion_n and_o the_o more_o they_o partake_v thereof_o the_o more_o they_o be_v encourage_v in_o holy_a duty_n and_o enable_v to_o go_v forward_o therein_o therefore_o labour_v we_o to_o maintain_v this_o spiritual_a joy_n first_o by_o entertain_v the_o motion_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o second_o the_o occasion_n of_o welldoing_a three_o by_o walk_v constant_o with_o our_o god_n and_o fourthly_a comfort_v other_o five_o by_o daily_a repentance_n for_o sin_n and_o sixth_o renounce_v our_o best_a righteousness_n seventh_o daily_a clear_n the_o evidence_n of_o our_o election_n that_o so_o we_o may_v daily_o grow_v in_o grace_n and_o follow_v after_o perfection_n and_o thus_o of_o the_o cause_n and_o help_v to_o grow_v in_o grace_n it_o remain_v yet_o to_o consider_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n in_o grace_n chap._n 4._o of_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o spiritual_a growth_n with_o diverse_a comfortable_a observation_n therein_o and_o use_v thereof_o hitherto_o of_o the_o necessity_n nature_n and_o cause_n of_o this_o spiritual_a growth_n it_o now_o follow_v that_o we_o discover_v the_o manner_n thereof_o as_o be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o reveal_n of_o this_o great_a mystery_n and_o very_o necessary_a for_o the_o trial_n of_o the_o truth_n thereof_o and_o also_o to_o resist_v such_o tentation_n as_o do_v oppose_v the_o same_o or_o hinder_v the_o increase_n thereof_o to_o this_o end_n it_o shall_v be_v necessary_a to_o enter_v into_o the_o sanctuary_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o thereinto_o observe_v such_o mystery_n wherein_o this_o wonderful_a mystery_n be_v wise_o enfold_v to_o stumble_v carnal_a wisdom_n and_o yet_o gracious_o unfold_v to_o satisfy_v the_o humble_a spirit_n the_o first_o mystery_n wherein_o this_o sacred_a truth_n be_v enfold_v be_v the_o new_a creature_n 2._o cor._n 5.17_o the_o spirit_n vouchsafe_v to_o resemble_v our_o spiritual_a renew_v in_o the_o second_o adam_n by_o our_o natural_a beginning_n in_o the_o old_a 1._o both_o because_o there_o be_v very_o great_a and_o near_a similitude_n between_o they_o and_o also_o 2._o that_o this_o of_o nature_n be_v familiar_a to_o each_o capacity_n the_o other_o of_o grace_n may_v be_v better_o discern_v thereby_o and_o yet_o 3._o may_v stumble_v here_o in_o carnal_a wisdom_n either_o in_o stretch_v the_o similitude_n to_o square_v every_o way_n to_o the_o establish_n of_o nature_n ability_n and_o help_n to_o grace_n or_o to_o confound_v carnal_a wisdom_n in_o the_o discern_a thereof_o if_o it_o look_v with_o no_o other_o spectacle_n than_o those_o of_o nature_n labour_v we_o then_o in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n to_o search_v the_o secret_n of_o this_o mystery_n by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o so_o we_o may_v hereby_o discern_v the_o manner_n of_o this_o spiritual_a growth_n to_o this_o end_n consider_v we_o first_o that_o as_o the_o new_a birth_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o better_a part_n be_v immediate_o create_v a_o new_a of_o god_n and_o infuse_v into_o the_o body_n

so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n which_o though_o it_o be_v perfect_a seed_n yet_o be_v cast_v into_o the_o fallow_a and_o plough_v ground_n of_o our_o heart_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o unaptnesse_n of_o the_o ground_n and_o season_n it_o yield_v not_o fruit_n present_o but_o in_o due_a season_n according_a to_o the_o providence_n and_o blessing_n of_o god_n fit_a for_o his_o glory_n and_o the_o good_a of_o the_o ground_n 2._o as_o the_o seed_n be_v not_o discern_v in_o grow_v at_o the_o first_o and_o yet_o it_o grow_v so_o neither_o can_v the_o work_n of_o grace_n be_v discern_v in_o the_o beginning_n no_o not_o in_o the_o infancy_n thereof_o and_o weak_a proceed_n of_o the_o same_o 3._o as_o the_o seed_n in_o it_o grow_v up_o be_v rot_v first_o in_o the_o ground_n john_n 12._o and_o dead_a yea_o appear_a past_a hope_n so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n so_o far_o from_o be_v discern_v sometime_o to_o grow_v as_o that_o rather_o contrary_o to_o sense_n it_o die_v the_o old_a man_n must_v be_v daily_o mortify_v that_o the_o new_a man_n may_v increase_v yea_o the_o new_a man_n must_v be_v abase_v in_o the_o sense_n of_o it_o own_o attain_a measure_n that_o still_o it_o may_v grow_v up_o in_o christ_n to_o attain_v perfection_n and_o that_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o mixture_n of_o the_o old_a man_n with_o the_o new_a challenge_v the_o imperfection_n and_o stain_n of_o any_o goodness_n attain_v and_o the_o prevail_a of_o the_o flesh_n sometime_o in_o some_o degree_n over_o the_o spirit_n draw_v we_o contrary_a to_o our_o main_a purpose_n to_o many_o evil_n and_o yet_o further_a hereby_o our_o growth_n in_o nourish_v more_o necessary_a grace_n of_o humility_n and_o denial_n of_o ourselves_o of_o faith_n in_o christ_n contrary_a to_o sense_n of_o spiritual_a poverty_n and_o hunger_a after_o christ_n of_o holy_a thirst_v after_o the_o comfort_n of_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o this_o afford_v also_o diverse_a gracious_a consequence_n for_o our_o better_a discern_v of_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n as_o first_o that_o we_o may_v not_o expect_v perfection_n at_o the_o first_o nay_o we_o must_v not_o be_v discourage_v though_o as_o the_o seed_n die_v and_o rot_v before_o it_o come_v up_o and_o yield_v fruit_n so_o it_o be_v with_o we_o even_o after_o the_o seed_n of_o grace_n be_v sow_v in_o we_o for_o this_o do_v tend_v to_o the_o more_o glorious_a trial_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o patience_n and_o to_o the_o great_a advancement_n of_o the_o power_n of_o god_n in_o sustain_v we_o in_o these_o kind_n of_o desertion_n of_o his_o wisdom_n and_o mercy_n in_o turn_v they_o about_o to_o the_o best_a unto_o us._n 2._o though_o we_o discern_v not_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n at_o the_o first_o no_o not_o for_o some_o time_n yet_o be_v the_o seed_n sow_v and_o will_v come_v up_o at_o length_n and_o he_o that_o believe_v make_v not_o haste_n isay_n 8._o three_o and_o last_o see_v the_o seed_n come_v up_o by_o contrary_n by_o die_v etc._n etc._n therefore_o as_o we_o must_v not_o be_v discourage_v in_o those_o particular_a blast_n and_o opposition_n those_o desertion_n and_o contradiction_n which_o do_v occur_v herein_o so_o neither_o for_o the_o general_a must_v we_o live_v by_o sense_n in_o any_o measure_n when_o we_o be_v at_o the_o height_n as_o we_o think_v to_o rest_v herein_o but_o still_o we_o must_v live_v by_o faith_n deny_v ourselves_o and_o rely_v only_o upon_o christ_n in_o the_o mean_n that_o so_o by_o he_o we_o may_v be_v lead_v along_o to_o perfection_n three_o a_o three_o mystery_n shadow_v out_o the_o new_a birth_n be_v that_o it_o be_v resemble_v unto_o light_n prou._n 4.18_o 19_o heb._n 10.34_o 1._o which_o as_o it_o receive_v it_o power_n from_o the_o body_n of_o the_o son_n and_o this_o from_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n so_o our_o conversion_n be_v a_o spark_n of_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n the_o son_n of_o righteousness_n and_o this_o from_o the_o good_a pleasure_n and_o fountain_n of_o god_n eternal_a love_n and_o therefore_o howsoever_o it_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v as_o the_o light_n subject_a to_o many_o ecclypse_n and_o vicissitude_n yet_o in_o god_n purpose_n and_o practice_v of_o his_o grace_n it_o be_v constant_a and_o eternal_a 2._o as_o the_o light_n shine_v more_o and_o more_o unto_o the_o perfect_a day_n so_o be_v it_o in_o our_o conversion_n at_o the_o first_o our_o light_n be_v dim_a and_o weak_a but_o still_o in_o grow_v the_o long_o we_o live_v in_o the_o school_n of_o christ_n the_o more_o we_o shine_v in_o holiness_n the_o near_o we_o attain_v to_o the_o life_n of_o glory_n and_o therefore_o as_o there_o be_v a_o continual_a work_n of_o proceed_v though_o not_o always_o discernible_a as_o the_o sun_n shine_v always_o though_o not_o apparent_a in_o our_o horizon_n nay_o though_o the_o light_n be_v not_o discernible_a always_o in_o that_o measure_n yet_o as_o the_o withdraw_a of_o the_o light_n and_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n be_v very_o necessary_a and_o useful_a lest_o it_o extreme_a heat_n always_o continue_v shall_v burn_v the_o earth_n so_o the_o absence_n of_o this_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o the_o work_n prove_v very_o profitable_a to_o humble_a and_o try_v our_o faith_n to_o make_v it_o express_v itself_o in_o other_o more_o necessary_a fruit_n of_o patience_n repentance_n compassion_n etc._n etc._n yea_o as_o the_o sun_n when_o it_o set_v in_o one_o circumference_n yet_o it_o shine_v in_o another_o so_o that_o when_o it_o be_v night_n with_o we_o it_o be_v day_n with_o other_o and_o yet_o we_o and_o they_o make_v but_o one_o universe_n so_o be_v it_o in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n though_o it_o be_v withdraw_v from_o one_o part_n yet_o it_o shine_v in_o another_o it_o fail_v in_o some_o grace_n be_v the_o mean_n to_o express_v it_o in_o other_o that_o be_v more_o necessary_a and_o therefore_o though_o it_o shine_v not_o in_o one_o climate_n yet_o it_o shine_v in_o another_o and_o so_o while_o it_o be_v absent_a from_o one_o part_n it_o supply_v elsewhere_o and_o so_o by_o this_o dispensation_n by_o time_n and_o degree_n illustrate_v the_o whole_a and_o so_o though_o we_o daily_o grow_v yet_o it_o be_v not_o without_o some_o interruption_n and_o intermission_n to_o our_o sense_n for_o the_o present_a by_o reason_n of_o such_o tentation_n which_o overcast_v &_o trouble_v the_o same_o of_o such_o open_a sin_n as_o to_o grieve_v the_o spirit_n and_o so_o suspend_v it_o work_v in_o something_n and_o degree_n for_o the_o present_a or_o that_o we_o grow_v careless_a and_o formal_a in_o holy_a duty_n and_o so_o for_o the_o present_a want_n the_o comfort_n of_o they_o yet_o as_o the_o light_n shine_v more_o and_o more_o until_o the_o perfect_a day_n so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o new_a birth_n 4._o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v compare_v unto_o wind_n john_n 3.8_o now_o as_o the_o wind_n blow_v where_o it_o list_v and_o though_o we_o hear_v the_o sound_n thereof_o yet_o we_o can_v discern_v whence_o it_o come_v and_o whither_o it_o go_v so_o be_v it_o in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n it_o be_v always_o free_a in_o work_v and_o therefore_o neither_o can_v any_o goodness_n in_o we_o move_v the_o same_o to_o work_v otherwise_o then_o it_o please_v neither_o can_v the_o evil_a that_o be_v in_o we_o hinder_v the_o same_o from_o work_v otherwise_o then_o that_o still_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o liberty_n and_o purpose_n thereof_o for_o our_o main_a good_a howsoever_o in_o some_o subordinate_a grace_n it_o may_v seem_v to_o fail_v and_o cease_v it_o work_v and_o hence_o arise_v many_o comfortable_a conclusion_n both_o to_o discern_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n and_o also_o to_o comfort_v we_o therein_o as_o first_o in_o that_o no_o goodness_n in_o we_o can_v move_v it_o to_o work_v further_o than_o it_o please_v because_o it_o motion_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o our_o goodness_n and_o dispose_v the_o same_o as_o it_o please_v for_o it_o own_o sake_n therefore_o though_o the_o best_a we_o do_v be_v in_o great_a weakness_n yet_o may_v not_o this_o challenge_n the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n who_o show_v his_o power_n in_o our_o weakness_n and_o by_o our_o corruption_n raise_v daily_a matter_n to_o abase_v the_o flesh_n and_o reserve_v the_o glory_n entire_o unto_o god_n and_o thereby_o also_o provoke_v we_o daily_o to_o renew_v our_o strength_n in_o christ_n that_o in_o he_o we_o may_v grow_v up_o to_o perfection_n that_o so_o the_o work_n of_o god_n free_a grace_n may_v be_v daily_o lead_v forward_o by_o the_o power_n of_o christ_n which_o dwell_v in_o we_o col._n 1.19_o 2._o see_v the_o spirit_n work_v free_o therefore_o howsoever_o when_o we_o have_v do_v

hasten_v thereto_o thus_o do_v the_o spirit_n lead_v forward_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n to_o justify_v the_o freedom_n and_o so_o the_o wisdom_n and_o faithfulness_n thereof_o and_o this_o shall_v further_o appear_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o second_o property_n of_o the_o wind_n that_o though_o we_o hear_v the_o sound_n thereof_o yet_o we_o know_v not_o whence_o it_o come_v nor_o whither_o it_o go_v which_o as_o it_o evidence_v still_o the_o free_a work_n of_o the_o spirit_n so_o it_o also_o discover_v gracious_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o growth_n thereby_o as_o first_o in_o that_o we_o may_v hear_v the_o sound_n thereof_o though_o we_o can_v discern_v the_o substance_n of_o the_o same_o so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o spirit_n we_o may_v take_v notice_n of_o it_o work_v both_o by_o it_o enable_v of_o we_o in_o well-doing_n and_o also_o by_o the_o effect_n thereof_o quiet_v our_o heart_n therein_o by_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o conscience_n and_o scale_v up_o the_o approbation_n thereof_o by_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o assurance_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o joy_n in_o the_o spirit_n from_o the_o same_o yet_o lest_o we_o shall_v imagine_v the_o spirit_n tie_v only_o to_o this_o effect_n or_o that_o we_o deserve_v the_o same_o out_o of_o the_o worth_n of_o our_o well-doing_n and_o so_o encroach_v upon_o the_o worthiness_n of_o our_o head_n therefore_o we_o shall_v but_o hear_v not_o see_v full_o for_o that_o remain_v for_o another_o life_n some_o notice_n we_o shall_v have_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o it_o work_v though_o we_o can_v full_o discern_v the_o mystery_n thereof_o and_o we_o shall_v but_o hear_v the_o sound_n thereof_o some_o such_o feel_n thereof_o we_o shall_v have_v as_o may_v assure_v we_o that_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v not_o in_o vain_a though_o we_o may_v want_v of_o such_o evidence_n which_o may_v evince_v the_o perfection_n of_o grace_n as_o be_v most_o fit_a for_o this_o state_n of_o grow_v our_o faith_n shall_v be_v mingle_v with_o some_o doubt_v our_o grace_n with_o some_o mixture_n of_o corruption_n that_o as_o we_o may_v discern_v the_o truth_n thereof_o so_o we_o may_v also_o discern_v the_o imperfection_n of_o the_o same_o that_o so_o we_o may_v daily_o hasten_v to_o perfection_n by_o daily_o deny_v of_o ourselves_o and_o labour_v to_o be_v find_v in_o christ_n not_o have_v our_o own_o righteousness_n and_o therefore_o howsoever_o we_o have_v not_o the_o perfect_a sight_n and_o feel_n of_o our_o grow_v in_o grace_n neither_o enjoy_v sensible_a comfort_n in_o the_o same_o at_o all_o time_n alike_o yet_o be_v this_o so_o far_o from_o challenge_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n grace_n in_o we_o as_o that_o rather_o it_o do_v evidence_n undoubted_o the_o power_n thereof_o see_v in_o regard_n of_o the_o combat_n between_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o spirit_n there_o must_v necessary_o fall_v out_o such_o difference_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o also_o of_o our_o apprehension_n thereof_o whereas_o if_o it_o be_v always_o in_o one_o key_n and_o temper_n it_o be_v a_o plain_a argument_n that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o combat_n and_o so_o no_o true_a conversion_n only_o here_o let_v it_o suffice_v we_o that_o our_o god_n know_v what_o be_v best_a for_o we_o and_o will_v work_v as_o it_o please_v he_o that_o his_o grace_n may_v still_o be_v free_a and_o if_o ever_o we_o have_v any_o true_a feel_n of_o the_o work_n it_o be_v a_o evidence_n that_o we_o shall_v have_v it_o again_o or_o else_o that_o which_o shall_v be_v better_o for_o we_o know_v that_o here_o we_o live_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o by_o sight_n 2._o cor._n 5.7_o and_o that_o the_o power_n of_o god_n must_v be_v perfect_v in_o our_o weakness_n 2._o cor._n 12.8_o remember_v now_o what_o be_v add_v in_o the_o three_o place_n as_o a_o lively_a evidence_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o we_o know_v not_o whence_o it_o come_v nor_o whether_o it_o go_v therein_o give_v we_o to_o understand_v that_o though_o we_o shall_v know_v so_o much_o of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o shall_v be_v sufficient_a for_o the_o present_a yet_o be_v it_o still_o a_o free_a worker_n we_o may_v be_v to_o seek_v if_o we_o will_v walk_v by_o sense_n of_o any_o work_n that_o be_v past_a as_o if_o that_o all_o our_o former_a measure_n be_v but_o in_o hypocrisy_n and_o we_o may_v be_v to_o seek_v of_o what_o shall_v follow_v after_o if_o we_o tie_v god_n to_o any_o particular_a way_n subject_a to_o our_o apprehension_n and_o do_v not_o see_v a_o far_o off_o by_o faith_n rest_v upon_o the_o promise_n of_o our_o god_n above_o our_o worthiness_n yea_o above_o our_o capacity_n thereof_o because_o we_o must_v still_o grow_v in_o knowledge_n and_o so_o grow_v in_o grace_n yea_o though_o we_o do_v live_v by_o faith_n both_o in_o discern_v whereunto_o we_o be_v come_v and_o whither_o we_o may_v go_v in_o general_a yet_o see_v we_o know_v but_o in_o part_n 13.9_o 1._o cor._n 13.9_o and_o so_o at_o the_o best_a so_o far_o can_v believe_v as_o that_o still_o we_o must_v desire_v the_o lord_n to_o help_v our_o unbelief_n 8._o math._n 8._o therefore_o neither_o can_v we_o discern_v all_o the_o particular_a way_n of_o god_n whereby_o he_o have_v lead_v we_o hitherto_o neither_o shall_v we_o be_v able_a to_o follow_v god_n in_o all_o his_o way_n whereby_o he_o wonderful_o bring_v light_n out_o of_o darkness_n and_o by_o his_o secret_a power_n sustain_v &_o enable_v we_o in_o our_o growth_n above_o all_o that_o we_o can_v think_v or_o desire_v that_o he_o may_v have_v the_o only_a glory_n of_o all_o his_o mercy_n ephes_n 3.20.21_o thus_o do_v this_o metaphor_n of_o the_o wind_n evidence_n the_o manner_n of_o our_o grow_v in_o grace_n that_o even_o above_o our_o apprehension_n yea_o contrary_a to_o sense_n and_o ordinary_a course_n as_o the_o ship_n many_o time_n sail_n by_o side_n and_o contrary_a wind_n towards_o the_o port_n and_o be_v fain_o sometime_o to_o forgo_v her_o burden_n yea_o her_o anchor_n to_o that_o so_o she_o may_v escape_v the_o storm_n and_o ride_v safe_o to_o the_o haven_n so_o be_v we_o lead_v along_o in_o this_o work_n of_o grace_n to_o this_o end_n consider_v we_o further_o that_o our_o new_a birth_n and_o growth_n in_o grace_n be_v compare_v to_o a_o combat_n express_v therein_o as_o the_o manner_n of_o it_o growth_n which_o be_v by_o a_o continual_a bicker_n and_o contention_n between_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o flesh_n so_o thereby_o also_o give_v we_o some_o direction_n how_o to_o discern_v the_o manner_n thereof_o even_o by_o a_o continual_a fight_n and_o wrestle_v within_o we_o whence_o arise_v these_o conclusion_n that_o as_o the_o spirit_n prevail_v two_o way_n either_o by_o strengthen_v we_o to_o overcome_v the_o present_a tentation_n or_o else_o by_o leave_v we_o to_o the_o particular_a tentation_n for_o the_o present_a thereby_o either_o to_o arm_v we_o better_o against_o the_o same_o hereafter_o that_o so_o we_o may_v after_o a_o foil_n attain_v a_o more_o glorious_a victory_n or_o though_o it_o leave_v we_o to_o be_v foil_v by_o the_o particular_a tentation_n yet_o it_o do_v by_o that_o foil_n prevent_v and_o overcome_v that_o which_o may_v be_v more_o dangerous_a therefore_o 1._o that_o we_o then_o grow_v in_o grace_n when_o we_o make_v advantage_n of_o our_o foil_n to_o prevent_v after_o fall_v or_o be_v recompense_v in_o our_o foil_n with_o more_o humility_n and_o repentance_n to_o be_v prepare_v to_o further_a trial_n 2._o that_o whatsoever_o duty_n we_o perform_v if_o there_o be_v not_o both_o a_o struggle_a before_o hand_n by_o the_o flesh_n to_o hinder_v the_o act_n thereof_o and_o a_o combat_n after_o by_o the_o spirit_n to_o purge_v the_o same_o of_o hypocrisy_n formality_n etc._n etc._n we_o have_v little_a comfort_n either_o of_o the_o truth_n thereof_o or_o of_o our_o growth_n therein_o 3._o that_o the_o discern_a of_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o expectation_n for_o the_o present_a as_o still_o to_o be_v humble_v for_o what_o we_o discern_v not_o or_o what_o we_o do_v discern_v not_o correspondent_a thereto_o and_o so_o still_o to_o hunger_n after_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n by_o who_o we_o may_v be_v satisfy_v both_o in_o the_o present_a measure_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v accept_v in_o the_o covenant_n and_o so_o enable_v thereby_o to_o a_o daily_o further_a measure_n that_o so_o at_o length_n we_o may_v attain_v to_o perfection_n and_o this_o both_o by_o compare_v what_o be_v pass_v with_o what_o be_v present_a that_o so_o we_o may_v discern_v whereto_o we_o be_v come_v and_o by_o thankfulness_n make_v way_n for_o further_a supply_n as_o also_o by_o thing_n past_a and_o present_a look_v to_o what_o be_v to_o come_v that_o so_o we_o may_v not_o stick_v in_o any_o measure_n receive_v but_o rather_o hasten_v

delight_n of_o his_o soul_n so_o do_v he_o labour_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o harden_v his_o heart_n therein_o condemn_v his_o former_a abstinence_n to_o be_v but_o preciseness_n or_o madness_n that_o the_o adulteress_n yea_o hereby_o also_o increase_a the_o sin_n of_o bathsheba_n by_o cover_v the_o shame_n thereof_o and_o so_o exclude_v repentance_n yea_o herein_o also_o exceed_o increase_n the_o sin_n that_o the_o conception_n of_o bathsheba_n may_v be_v destroy_v or_o hinder_v by_o this_o mixture_n of_o seed_n and_o so_o the_o murder_n of_o the_o infant_n may_v be_v thereby_o procure_v
