show_v the_o like_a mercy_n to_o england_n though_o a_o sinful_a nation_n in_o root_n out_o those_o wicked_a limb_n of_o the_o beast_n by_o who_o religion_n and_o the_o whole_a land_n be_v so_o of_o late_a more_o than_o ever_o before_o since_o queen_n elizabeth_n day_n defile_v yea_o we_o may_v be_v as_o sure_a hereof_o as_o we_o be_v sure_o this_o be_v god_n word_n that_o the_o lord_n will_v and_o that_o very_o speedy_o so_o finish_v this_o work_n now_o begin_v within_o the_o compass_n of_o this_o sixth_o trumpet_n as_o not_o all_o the_o power_n and_o policy_n of_o antichrist_n and_o his_o confederate_n shall_v be_v able_a either_o to_o prevent_v it_o or_o ever_o to_o overthrow_v it_o for_o christ_n word_n here_o must_v needs_o be_v fulfil_v which_o say_v these_o be_v the_o two_o power_n and_o spirit_n of_o elias_n in_o the_o five_o verse_n wherein_o this_o speech_n be_v redouble_v thus_o if_o any_o man_n shall_v hurt_v they_o fire_n proceed_v out_o of_o their_o mouth_n and_o now_o for_o they_o that_o be_v slay_v after_o the_o first_o manner_n we_o be_v not_o to_o expect_v that_o god_n will_n according_a to_o the_o letter_n raise_v they_o up_o from_o the_o dead_a as_o here_o after_o three_o day_n and_o a_o half_a and_o for_o they_o that_o be_v slay_v after_o the_o second_o manner_n here_o specify_v though_o god_n shall_v not_o deliver_v and_o restore_v they_o from_o that_o their_o civil_a death_n though_o he_o be_v able_a to_o do_v it_o and_o will_v do_v it_o if_o he_o have_v so_o determine_v unto_o their_o liberty_n and_o communion_n with_o humane_a society_n as_o former_o yet_o this_o we_o be_v sure_a of_o as_o god_n word_n here_o must_v needs_o be_v true_a that_o of_o the_o very_a dust_n and_o ash_n of_o his_o dead_a witness_n under_o this_o trumpet_n in_o what_o manner_n so_o ever_o dead_a he_o will_v raise_v up_o again_o to_o life_n and_o that_o in_o the_o time_n of_o this_o trumpet_n either_o those_o very_a witness_n in_o their_o own_o person_n or_o else_o in_o the_o spirit_n of_o these_o he_o will_v raise_v up_o other_o witness_n and_o such_o as_o if_o they_o be_v those_o very_a witness_n former_o slay_v thus_o we_o read_v of_o elias_n 6._o elias_n mal._n 4.5_o 6._o behold_v say_v the_o lord_n i_o will_v send_v you_o elias_n the_o prophet_n before_o the_o come_n of_o the_o great_a and_o dreadful_a day_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v fulfil_v that_o elias_n shall_v come_v and_o now_o in_o john_n he_o be_v already_o come_v now_o according_a to_o this_o sense_n we_o may_v safe_o interpret_v this_o prophecy_n also_o in_o this_o place_n after_o three_o day_n and_o a_o half_a the_o spirit_n of_o life_n from_o god_n shall_v enter_v into_o they_o to_o wit_n into_o the_o two_o slay_a witness_n and_o they_o shall_v stand_v upon_o their_o foot_n &c_n &c_n that_o be_v after_o a_o short_a but_o set_v time_n with_o god_n the_o spirit_n of_o life_n from_o god_n shall_v raise_v up_o his_o former_a witness_n that_o be_v slay_v though_o not_o in_o their_o own_o person_n yet_o in_o other_o witness_n that_o shall_v succeed_v they_o who_o shall_v be_v endue_v with_o the_o same_o spirit_n and_o power_n which_o they_o have_v be_v endue_v with_o all_o and_o this_o be_v that_o spirit_n of_o life_n from_o god_n which_o enter_v into_o his_o servant_n raise_v they_o up_o to_o be_v lively_a witness_n of_o his_o truth_n full_a of_o raise_v from_o the_o dead_a as_o john_n the_o baptist_n be_v call_v that_o elias_n because_o he_o come_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o power_n of_o elias_n and_o in_o this_o respect_n see_v the_o raise_n and_o restore_v of_o these_o two_o witness_n be_v perhaps_o not_o personal_a but_o spiritual_a it_o be_v not_o necessary_a that_o we_o tie_v or_o restrain_v the_o succeed_a witness_n strict_o to_o the_o number_n of_o two_o only_a for_o as_o it_o be_v say_v of_o old_a sanguis_fw-la martyrum_fw-la semen_fw-mi ecclesiae_fw-la the_o blood_n of_o the_o martyr_n be_v the_o seed_n of_o the_o church_n and_o as_o one_o seed_n or_o grain_n sow_v and_o die_v bring_v forth_o much_o fruit_n as_o 12.24_o as_o john_n 12.24_o christ_n say_v so_o as_o one_o corn_n bring_v forth_o the_o increase_n of_o a_o hundred_o and_o some_o of_o a_o thousand_o as_o in_o some_o country_n as_o of_o virginia_n so_o these_o two_o witness_n may_v in_o the_o multiplication_n of_o their_o spirit_n and_o power_n and_o of_o that_o spirit_n of_o life_n from_o god_n bring_v forth_o a_o abundant_a harvest_n even_o great_a plenty_n of_o more_o witness_n that_o shâ—ll_v stand_v up_o for_o that_o truth_n for_o the_o which_o these_o two_o be_v slay_v what_o shall_v we_o say_v of_o those_o many_o witness_n who_o the_o lord_n late_o raise_v up_o in_o scotland_n stand_v up_o upon_o their_o foot_n to_o maintain_v their_o christian_a liberty_n against_o antichristian_a bondage_n and_o to_o vindicate_v christ_n sceptre_n and_o government_n over_o his_o church_n there_o out_o of_o the_o tyrannical_a hand_n of_o that_o proud_a usurp_a beast_n out_o of_o the_o bottomless_a pit_n who_o by_o his_o egyptian_a taskmaster_n the_o prelate_n so_o oppress_v god_n people_n as_o they_o be_v make_v weary_a of_o their_o life_n and_o when_o be_v these_o witness_n raise_v up_o sure_o not_o much_o after_o three_o day_n and_o a_o half_a that_o the_o two_o witness_n be_v slay_v those_o i_o mean_v who_o suffer_v worse_o than_o death_n for_o bear_v witness_n against_o the_o tyranny_n of_o the_o romish_a beast_n and_o his_o cruel_a taskmaster_n and_o what_o other_o spirit_n but_o that_o spirit_n of_o life_n from_o god_n can_v raise_v up_o so_o many_o witness_n so_o unanimous_o and_o with_o such_o a_o wonderful_a wisdom_n discretion_n judgement_n zeal_n and_o courage_n to_o stand_v up_o in_o defence_n of_o christ_n kingdom_n against_o antichrist_n tyranny_n yea_o and_o what_o other_o spirit_n and_o power_n but_o that_o of_o god_n can_v move_v the_o heart_n of_o his_o anoint_a vicegerent_n to_o assent_v to_o
