for_o they_o that_o follow_v their_o sensuality_n hurt_v their_o own_o conscience_n and_o lose_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n against_o vain_a secular_a cunning_n and_o of_o a_o meek_a know_v of_o ourself_o the_o 2._o chapter_n every_o man_n natural_o desire_v to_o know_v but_o what_o avail_v knowledge_n without_o the_o dread_n of_o god_n a_o meek_a husband_n man_n that_o serve_v god_n be_v much_o more_o acceptable_a to_o he_o them_z be_v a_o curious_a philosopher_n which_o consider_v the_o course_n of_o heaven_n wilful_o forget_v himself_o he_o that_o well_o know_v himself_o be_v vile_a and_o abject_a in_o his_o own_o sight_n and_o have_v no_o delight_n in_o the_o vain_a praisinge_n of_o man_n if_o i_o know_v all_o thing_n that_o be_v in_o this_o world_n without_o charity_n what_o shall_v it_o avail_v i_o before_o god_n that_o judge_v every_o man_n after_o his_o deed_n let_v we_o therefore_o cease_v from_o the_o desire_n of_o such_o vain_a knowledge_n for_o often_o time_n be_v find_v therein_o great_a destruction_n and_o deceit_n of_o the_o enemy_n whereby_o the_o soul_n be_v much_o hinder_v and_o let_v from_o the_o perfect_a and_o true_a love_n of_o god_n they_o that_o have_v great_a cunning_a desire_v common_o to_o be_v see_v and_o to_o be_v hold_v wise_n in_o the_o world_n and_o there_o be_v many_o thing_n that_o the_o knowledge_n of_o they_o bring_v but_o little_a profit_n and_o fruit_n to_o the_o soul_n and_o he_o be_v very_o unwyse_a that_o take_v heed_n to_o any_o other_o thing_n then_o to_o that_o which_o shall_v profit_v he_o to_o the_o health_n of_o his_o soul_n word_n feed_v not_o the_o soul_n but_o a_o good_a life_n refresh_v the_o mind_n and_o a_o clean_a conscience_n bring_v a_o man_n to_o a_o firm_a and_o stable_a trust_n in_o god_n the_o more_o cunning_a thou_o haste_v if_o thou_o live_v not_o thereafter_o the_o more_o greevouslie_o shall_v thou_o therefore_o be_v judge_v for_o the_o misusinge_v thereof_o therefore_o raise_v not_o thyself_o into_o pride_n for_o any_o craft_n or_o cunning_a that_o be_v give_v unto_o thou_o but_o have_v therefore_o the_o more_o fear_n and_o dread_n in_o thy_o heart_n for_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o thou_o must_v hereafter_o yield_v therefore_o the_o strait_a account_n if_o thou_o think_v that_o thou_o know_v many_o thing_n and_o have_v great_a cunning_a yet_o know_v it_o for_o certain_a that_o there_o be_v many_o mo_z thing_n that_o thou_o know_v not_o and_o so_o thou_o may_v not_o rightwise_o think_v thyself_o cunning_a but_o ought_v rather_o to_o confess_v thy_o ignorance_n and_o uncunninge_a why_o will_v thou_o prefer_v thy_o self_n in_o cunning_a before_o other_o since_o there_o be_v many_o other_o more_o excellent_a and_o more_o cunning_a than_o thou_o and_o better_o learn_v in_o the_o law_n if_o thou_o will_v any_o thing_n learn_v and_o know_v profitable_o to_o the_o health_n of_o thy_o soul_n learn_v to_o be_v unknowen_a and_o be_v glad_a to_o be_v hold_v vile_a &_o nought_o &_o uncunninge_v as_o thou_o be_v the_o most_o high_a and_o the_o most_o profitable_a cunning_a be_v this_o a_o man_n to_o have_v a_o soothfast_a knowledge_n and_o a_o full_a despisinge_v of_o himself_o also_o a_o man_n not_o to_o presume_v of_o himself_o but_o always_o to_o judge_v and_o think_v well_o and_o bless_o of_o other_o be_v a_o sign_n &_o a_o token_n of_o great_a wisdom_n and_o of_o great_a perfection_n
