religion_n be_v always_o predominant_a in_o we_o and_o this_o will_v be_v a_o principle_n of_o life_n in_o we_o a_o principle_n of_o divine_a sensation_n and_o joy_n when_o this_o body_n shall_v tumble_v into_o dust._n vi_o if_o death_n be_v our_o put_v off_o these_o body_n than_o the_o resurrection_n from_o the_o dead_a be_v the_o reunion_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n the_o soul_n do_v not_o die_v and_o therefore_o can_v be_v say_v to_o rise_v again_o from_o the_o dead_a but_o it_o be_v the_o body_n which_o like_o seed_n fall_v into_o the_o earth_n and_o spring_v up_o again_o more_o beautiful_a and_o glorious_a at_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o iust_o to_o believe_v the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o body_n or_o of_o the_o flesh_n and_o to_o believe_v another_o life_n after_o this_o be_v two_o very_a different_a thing_n the_o heathen_n believe_v a_o future_a state_n but_o never_o dream_v of_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o body_n which_o be_v the_o peculiar_a article_n of_o the_o christian_a faith._n and_o yet_o it_o be_v the_o resurrection_n of_o our_o body_n which_o be_v our_o victory_n and_o triumph_n over_o death_n for_o death_n be_v the_o punishment_n of_o adam_n sin_n and_o those_o who_o be_v in_o a_o separate_a state_n still_o suffer_v the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n dust_n thou_o be_v and_o to_o dust_n thou_o shall_v return_v christ_n come_v to_o of_o no_o use_n a_o soul_n and_o body_n can_v be_v vital_o unite_v but_o there_o must_v be_v a_o sympathy_n between_o they_o and_o receive_v mutual_a impression_n from_o each_o other_o and_o then_o we_o need_v not_o doubt_n but_o that_o such_o glorify_a body_n will_v high_o minister_v though_o in_o a_o way_n unknown_a to_o we_o to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o a_o divine_a and_o perfect_a soul_n devotion_n and_o then_o free_o to_o give_v up_o our_o body_n to_o the_o stake_n or_o to_o the_o gibbet_n to_o wild_a beast_n or_o more_o savage_a men._n this_o vindicate_v our_o body_n from_o the_o natural_a shame_n and_o reproach_n of_o death_n what_o we_o call_v a_o natural_a death_n be_v very_o inglorious_a it_o be_v a_o mark_n of_o dishonour_n because_o it_o be_v a_o punishment_n of_o sin_n such_o body_n at_o best_a be_v sow_v in_o dishonour_n and_o corruption_n as_o st._n paul_n speak_v but_o to_o die_v a_o martyr_n to_o fall_v a_o sacrifice_n to_o god_n this_o be_v a_o glorious_a death_n this_o be_v not_o to_o yield_v to_o the_o law_n of_o mortality_n to_o necessity_n and_o fate_n but_o to_o give_v back_o our_o body_n to_o god_n who_o give_v they_o to_o we_o and_o he_o will_v keep_v that_o which_o we_o have_v commit_v to_o his_o trust_n to_o a_o glorious_a resurrection_n and_o it_o will_v be_v a_o surprise_v and_o astonish_a glory_n with_o which_o such_o body_n shall_v rise_v again_o as_o have_v suffer_v for_o their_o lord_n for_o if_o we_o suffer_v with_o he_o we_o shall_v also_o be_v glorify_v together_o which_o seem_v to_o imply_v that_o those_o shall_v near_o resemble_v the_o glory_n of_o christ_n himself_o who_o suffer_v as_o he_o do_v this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o make_v our_o body_n immortal_a and_o glorious_a we_o can_v keep_v they_o long_o here_o tempt_v or_o to_o be_v tempt_v without_o the_o least_o uneasy_a thought_n the_o least_o disappointment_n the_o least_o care_n in_o the_o full_a and_o blissful_a enjoyment_n of_o the_o eternal_a and_o we_o in_o this_o mortal_a state_n and_o therefore_o while_o we_o live_v in_o this_o world_n we_o may_v value_v the_o enjoyment_n of_o it_o for_o the_o ease_n and_o conveniency_n of_o life_n but_o we_o must_v neither_o call_v this_o life_n nor_o any_o enjoyment_n of_o it_o our_o own_o because_o they_o be_v short_a and_o perish_a we_o be_v here_o but_o as_o traveller_n in_o a_o inn_n it_o be_v not_o our_o home_n and_o country_n it_o be_v not_o our_o portion_n and_o inheritance_n but_o a_o movable_a and_o changeable_a scene_n which_o be_v entertain_v at_o present_a but_o can_v last_v let_v we_o then_o consider_v how_o we_o ought_v to_o value_v such_o thing_n as_o these_o and_o to_o make_v it_o as_o plain_a and_o self-evident_a as_o i_o can_v i_o shall_v put_v some_o easy_a and_o familiar_a case_n 1._o suppose_v you_o be_v a_o travel_v through_o a_o very_a delightful_a country_n where_o you_o meet_v with_o all_o the_o pleasure_n and_o conveniency_n of_o life_n but_o know_v that_o you_o must_v not_o tarry_v there_o but_o only_o pass_v through_o it_o will_v you_o think_v it_o reasonable_a to_o set_v your_o affection_n so_o much_o upon_o it_o as_o to_o make_v it_o uneasy_a to_o you_o to_o leave_v it_o and_o shall_v we_o then_o grow_v so_o fond_a of_o this_o world_n which_o we_o must_v only_o pass_v through_o where_o we_o have_v no_o abide_v city_n as_o to_o enslave_v ourselves_o
