as_o you_o have_v do_v and_o answerable_o as_o you_o do_v so_o you_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o find_v and_o feel_v your_o sin_n mortify_v and_o subdue_v do_v but_o believe_v that_o you_o be_v wash_v by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n from_o the_o guilt_n of_o sin_n and_o you_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o find_v that_o you_o be_v cleanse_v by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n from_o the_o filth_n of_o sin_n let_v a_o man_n say_v doctor_n preston_n but_o believe_v the_o cou._n on_o the_o new_a cou._n the_o promise_n of_o pardon_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o very_a believe_a the_o pardon_n will_v be_v able_a to_o cleanse_v his_o heart_n from_o dead_a work_n for_o that_o faith_n which_o do_v lay_v hold_n on_o christ_n crucify_v say_v another_o godly_a divine_a do_v 292._o dyke_n not_o believe_v that_o my_o sin_n be_v pardon_v so_o long_o as_o they_o remain_v unsubdued_a min._n if_o you_o will_v not_o believe_v that_o your_o sin_n be_v pardon_v till_o they_o be_v quite_o subdue_v then_o will_v you_o not_o believe_v it_o whilst_o you_o live_v for_o so_o long_o as_o you_o live_v here_o you_o shall_v find_v and_o feel_v some_o remainder_n of_o sinful_a corruption_n unsubdued_a though_o you_o do_v believe_v and_o if_o you_o do_v not_o believe_v you_o shall_v not_o have_v they_o subdue_v at_o all_o by_o the_o sanctify_a spirit_n of_o christ_n indeed_o it_o be_v possible_a that_o after_o much_o strive_n against_o your_o corruption_n in_o your_o own_o strength_n you_o may_v see_v there_o be_v no_o strength_n in_o you_o to_o subdue_v they_o as_o you_o will_v and_o may_v thereupon_o go_v unto_o christ_n by_o prayer_n for_o grace_n and_o power_n to_o leave_v sin_n and_o do_v better_o and_o so_o live_v upon_o christ_n that_o you_o may_v live_v upon_o yourself_o i_o say_v you_o may_v go_v unto_o christ_n for_o power_n to_o do_v your_o work_n that_o so_o you_o may_v earn_v your_o wage_n and_o it_o be_v possible_a you_o may_v hereupon_o grow_v in_o legal_a righteousness_n as_o the_o stony_a and_o thorny_a ground_n seed_n spring_v up_o and_o increase_v much_o and_o come_v near_o unto_o maturity_n and_o yet_o this_o not_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o sanctify_a spirit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n wherefore_o i_o beseech_v you_o go_v not_o this_o way_n to_o work_v do_v not_o seek_v to_o have_v the_o righteousness_n of_o sanctification_n infuse_v god_n like_o unto_o thou_o that_o pardon_v iniquity_n and_o pass_v by_o the_o transgression_n of_o the_o remnant_n of_o his_o heritage_n he_o retain_v not_o his_o anger_n for_o ever_o because_o he_o delight_v in_o mercy_n here_o be_v the_o righteousness_n 18._o micah_n 7._o 18._o of_o justification_n and_o then_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n he_o proclaim_v the_o righteousness_n of_o 3._o 2._o minister_n i_o do_v acknowledge_v that_o a_o man_n in_o 18_o perkins_n grain_n of_o mustardseed_n p._n 18_o the_o state_n of_o nature_n may_v desire_v true_a happiness_n as_o balaam_n do_v who_o wish_v to_o die_v the_o death_n of_o the_o righteous_a for_o indeed_o it_o be_v the_o property_n of_o nature_n to_o desire_v the_o preservation_n of_o itself_o but_o alas_o all_o such_o desire_n be_v but_o natural_a desire_n whereas_o your_o desire_n i_o be_o confident_a be_v supernatural_a desire_n mat._n i_o but_o sir_n how_o shall_v i_o be_v sure_a that_o my_o desire_n be_v supernatural_a min._n to_o the_o intent_n you_o may_v be_v sure_a of_o it_o i_o will_v show_v you_o the_o true_a difference_n betwixt_o natural_a desire_n and_o supernatural_a desire_n and_o therefore_o i_o pray_v you_o consider_v that_o if_o a_o man_n mind_n be_v blind_a and_o his_o heart_n untouched_a and_o unhumble_v than_o all_o his_o desire_n to_o believe_v and_o to_o be_v reconcile_v unto_o god_n can_v be_v no_o better_o then_o natural_a desire_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o that_o where_o the_o mind_n reveal_v not_o the_o will_n affect_v not_o and_o if_o the_o heart_n be_v not_o touch_v with_o so_o much_o fear_n and_o sorrow_n as_o do_v loosen_v it_o from_o sin_n and_o make_v sin_n the_o sour_a and_o christ_n the_o sweet_a and_o if_o there_o be_v not_o so_o much_o humiliation_n as_o make_v a_o man_n deny_v himself_o and_o to_o renounce_v his_o own_o righteousness_n and_o performance_n and_o so_o to_o desire_v to_o be_v find_v clothe_v with_o the_o righteousness_n of_o jesus_n christ_n there_o can_v be_v no_o supernatural_a desire_n of_o faith_n and_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n in_o christ_n but_o if_o a_o man_n mind_n be_v enlighten_v and_o his_o heart_n touch_v and_o humble_v as_o you_o be_v than_o all_o his_o desire_n of_o believe_a and_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n in_o christ_n must_v needs_o be_v supernatural_a desire_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o that_o where_o the_o mind_n be_v true_o enlighten_v so_o that_o a_o man_n perceive_v his_o miserable_a estate_n by_o reason_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o his_o heart_n be_v true_o touch_v cast_v down_o and_o humble_v it_o withdraw_v itself_o from_o god_n as_o much_o as_o it_o can_v and_o therefore_o if_o there_o be_v any_o spiritual_a motion_n whereby_o the_o heart_n be_v lift_v up_o unto_o god_n they_o be_v without_o doubt_n from_o the_o spirit_n of_o 20_o perkins_n grain_n of_o mustardseed_n p._n 20_o god_n so_o that_o although_o such_o a_o heart_n dare_v not_o make_v out_o to_o christ_n say_v doctor_n sibbs_n yet_o be_v it_o reed_n in_o his_o preface_n to_o bruise_a reed_n secret_o uphold_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n show_v itself_o in_o hide_a sigh_n and_o groan_n unto_o god_n and_o such_o person_n as_o these_o say_v master_n perkins_n as_o have_v 38_o graine_n of_o mustardseed_n p._n 38_o this_o weak_a faith_n can_v say_v indeed_o that_o they_o do_v believe_v their_o sin_n be_v pardonable_a and_o they_o do_v serious_o in_o their_o heart_n desire_v that_o they_o be_v pardon_v but_o as_o yet_o they_o can_v say_v they_o be_v without_o doubt_n pardon_v and_o this_o i_o be_o confident_a be_v your_o condition_n mat._n but_o sir_n i_o fear_v that_o my_o mind_n be_v never_o yet_o true_o enlighten_v because_o i_o be_o so_o ignorant_a and_o i_o fear_v i_o be_v never_o yet_o true_o humble_v because_o i_o now_o see_v that_o i_o have_v not_o renounce_v my_o own_o righteousness_n min._n i_o pray_v you_o tell_v i_o be_v there_o not_o a_o time_n and_o that_o not_o long_o since_o that_o you_o do_v not_o know_v that_o which_o you_o now_o know_v neither_o concern_v god_n nor_o concern_v yourself_o mat._n yea_o indeed_o sir_n i_o must_v needs_o confess_v that_o before_o i_o hearken_v to_o the_o advice_n of_o that_o friend_n i_o tell_v you_o of_o and_o read_v that_o book_n which_o i_o mention_v before_o i_o neither_o know_v any_o thing_n either_o concern_v my_o miserable_a condition_n by_o reason_n of_o my_o sin_n nor_o yet_o of_o any_o remedy_n by_o mean_n of_o jesus_n christ_n min._n why_o then_o may_v you_o true_o say_v with_o the_o man_n in_o the_o
