his_o apostle_n do_v to_o revoke_v and_o calback_n again_o open_a sinner_n and_o blasphemer_n to_o earnest_a repentance_n for_o their_o own_o sinfulness_n and_o to_o have_v a_o sure_a trust_n in_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o in_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n passion_n and_o death_n though_o they_o be_v even_o at_o the_o departure_n out_o of_o this_o present_a life_n for_o it_o be_v never_o too_o late_o so_o long_o as_o life_n last_v let_v we_o therefore_o with_o all_o ferventness_n call_v upon_o they_o and_o exhort_v they_o in_o any_o wise_a with_o a_o good_a courage_n and_o a_o sure_a and_o undoubtful_a faith_n ask_v call_v and_o cry_v for_o god_n mercy_n for_o his_o sweet_a son_n our_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n sake_n and_o undoubted_o they_o shall_v have_v it_o for_o since_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n hitherto_o be_v there_o never_o one_o that_o in_o faith_n ask_v mercy_n hartelye_o but_o he_o have_v it_o through_o the_o gracious_a goodness_n of_o our_o aforesaid_a merciful_a saviour_n jesus_n christ_n unto_o who_o with_o the_o father_n and_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v all_o lawde_a and_o praise_n world_n without_o end_n amen_n a_o answer_n unto_o a_o godly_a scripture_n touch_v the_o confession_n of_o sin_n truelye_o sir_n this_o your_o reasonable_a request_n i_o will_v if_o i_o be_v able_a right_n glad_o satisfy_v but_o as_o you_o know_v i_o be_o far_o unable_a to_o pen_v this_o matter_n according_a to_o the_o worthiness_n thereof_o nevertheless_o when_o i_o consider_v with_o myself_o how_o much_o i_o be_o bind_v to_o you_o for_o your_o love_a kindness_n daily_o show_v to_o my_o poor_a kinsfolk_n and_o friend_n in_o england_n i_o cannot_a but_o think_v it_o to_o be_v my_o bind_a duty_n somewhat_o to_o gratifye_v you_o again_o and_o albeit_o that_o ignorance_n rudeness_n of_o stile_n and_o lack_v of_o learning_n pluck_v i_o back_o from_o the_o handle_n of_o this_o matter_n yet_o the_o consideratione_n of_o your_o great_a discretion_n and_o gentleness_n prick_v i_o forward_o to_o attempt_v what_o i_o can_v do_v therein_o certes_o i_o nothing_o doubt_n but_o that_o you_o will_v gentlye_o accept_v my_o simple_a rudeness_n good_a will_n and_o endeavour_n in_o this_o behalf_n no_o less_o then_o if_o the_o matter_n be_v gloryouslye_o garnish_v with_o eloquence_n and_o set_v forth_o with_o the_o most_o profitable_a persuasion_n of_o the_o fresh_a philosopher_n or_o rhetorician_n in_o both_o university_n in_o england_n i_o trust_v you_o will_v credit_n and_o embrace_v the_o truth_n though_o it_o be_v never_o so_o base_o and_o homely_a write_v or_o declare_v unto_o you_o for_o the_o truth_n shall_v abide_v and_o flourish_v when_o all_o profane_a paint_a persuasion_n and_o fond_a pharisaic_a all_o fantasy_n shall_v vanish_v confession_n of_o sin_n the_o holy_a scripture_n doothe_v diverslye_o in_o sundry_a place_n set_v forth_o &_o treat_v of_o the_o confession_n of_o sin_n in_o some_o place_n it_o make_v mention_v of_o a_o general_a and_o confession_n a_o general_a confession_n solemn_a confession_n open_o make_v of_o all_o the_o people_n be_v assemble_v and_o gather_v together_o at_o the_o appointment_n call_v and_o exhortation_n of_o their_o high_a magistrate_n bishop_n curate_n or_o public_a minister_n of_o god_n word_n the_o cause_n thereof_o be_v common_o some_o great_a plague_n vengeance_n or_o punishment_n wherewith_o god_n scourge_v they_o for_o their_o sinful_a heinous_a and_o abominable_a offence_n commit_v and_o do_v by_o they_o and_o their_o forefather_n example_n thereof_o we_o have_v in_o the_o second_o book_n of_o esdras_n where_o it_o be_v thus_o write_v in_o the_o four_o and_o twenty_o 9_o ●eem_v 9_o day_n of_o this_o month_n come_v the_o child_n of_o israel_n together_o with_o
