again_o the_o other_o be_v like_o the_o ground_n which_o receive_v the_o seed_n and_o bring_v forth_o fruit_n in_o abundance_n because_o god_n the_o father_n be_v the_o husband_n man_n thereof_o as_o of_o the_o spirit_n yet_o do_v it_o not_o prove_v he_o in_o who_o it_o be_v to_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n for_o christ_n say_v plain_o 21._o not_o every_o one_o that_o call_v i_o lord_n lord_n shall_v enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n and_o because_o this_o same_o effect_n in_o the_o very_a reprobate_n 14._o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n for_o the_o natural_a man_n can_v promise_v to_o send_v they_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n remain_v still_o true_a that_o the_o world_n can_v not_o receive_v he_o 17_o because_o it_o see_v he_o not_o neither_o know_v he_o &_o therefore_o we_o may_v just_o say_v that_o they_o who_o receive_v this_o taste_n of_o christ_n &_o of_o the_o good_a word_n of_o god_n do_v not_o discern_v the_o spirit_n to_o work_v these_o thing_n because_o they_o neither_o see_v he_o nor_o know_v he_o neither_o can_v they_o receive_v he_o but_o be_v like_a unto_o natural_a man_n who_o albeit_o they_o have_v their_o be_v 28_o &_o life_n &_o move_v in_o god_n yet_o still_o remain_v without_o god_n in_o this_o world_n 12._o but_o it_o may_v they_o be_v demand_v how_o it_o be_v that_o they_o be_v say_v to_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o the_o h._n ghost_n and_o what_o difference_n be_v there_o betwixt_o they_o &_o the_o elect_a in_o the_o participation_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o understand_v this_o we_o must_v remember_v that_o there_o must_v be_v a_o certain_a participation_n of_o the_o spirit_n whersoever_o any_o effect_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v find_v in_o whatsoever_o measure_n or_o manner_n but_o we_o be_v to_o mark_v a_o difference_n both_o of_o measure_n &_o manner_n for_o as_o a_o man_n that_o have_v a_o excellent_a piece_n of_o wine_n to_o sell_v will_v give_v to_o all_o that_o come_v so_o much_o as_o be_v sufficient_a to_o make_v they_o know_v the_o taste_n of_o it_o yet_o he_o give_v not_o to_o every_o one_o such_o a_o quantity_n as_o be_v sufficient_a to_o bring_v nourishment_n &_o refreshment_n to_o their_o body_n &_o spirit_n and_o as_o a_o physician_n that_o have_v prepare_v a_o comfortable_a potion_n for_o the_o health_n of_o a_o belove_a patient_n he_o will_v give_v to_o other_o a_o little_a of_o it_o to_o make_v they_o apprehend_v the_o taste_n of_o it_o but_o not_o so_o as_o to_o have_v any_o strength_n to_o make_v any_o operation_n in_o their_o stomach_n for_o that_o quantity_n he_o give_v only_o to_o the_o patient_a for_o who_o health_n it_o be_v prepare_v now_o they_o who_o taste_v of_o this_o wine_n or_o potion_n can_v discern_v the_o goodness_n of_o it_o albeit_o they_o never_o do_v drink_v it_o nor_o ever_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o refresh_a power_n of_o it_o so_o be_v it_o with_o the_o lord_n in_o his_o dispensation_n he_o use_v sometime_o only_o to_o give_v a_o naked_a sight_n and_o knowledge_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o mercy_n in_o he_o to_o man_n and_o this_o i_o call_v before_o a_o general_a persuasion_n of_o the_o spirit_n when_o man_n be_v make_v to_o know_v christ_n in_o general_a but_o without_o all_o sense_n of_o feelinge_v of_o he_o sometime_o the_o spirit_n come_v near_o and_o touch_v the_o heart_n with_o christ_n and_o with_o the_o power_n of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v even_o so_o far_o as_o the_o heart_n receive_v a_o taste_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n &_o of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n in_o such_o sort_n that_o they_o receive_v the_o word_n incontinentlie_o with_o joy_n 20._o as_o say_v christ_n the_o spirit_n have_v in_o that_o measure_n testify_v the_o word_n to_o they_o as_o be_v sufficient_a to_o make_v they_o to_o taste_v the_o sweetness_n of_o it_o albeit_o he_o never_o fill_v their_o heart_n with_o it_o nor_o imprint_v it_o in_o their_o mind_n that_o they_o may_v find_v the_o power_n of_o it_o unto_o life_n the_o last_o degree_n of_o the_o spirit_n witnessinge_v be_v when_o not_o only_o he_o touch_v the_o lip_n with_o grace_n to_o make_v the_o taste_n of_o it_o feel_v but_o when_o he_o pour_v in_o heart_n say_v the_o contrary_a of_o the_o second_o kind_n of_o the_o spirit_n voice_n in_o speak_v from_o god_n unto_o we_o we_o have_v likewise_o example_n in_o david_n when_o his_o own_o heart_n say_v unto_o god_n 42._o why_o have_v thou_o forget_v i_o behold_v a_o other_o voice_n speak_v unto_o his_o heart_n in_o that_o same_o time_n why_o be_v thou_o vex_v o_o my_o soul_n and_o why_o be_v thou_o so_o disquiet_v within_o i_o o_o put_v thy_o trust_n in_o god_n for_o i_o will_v yet_o give_v he_o thanks_n he_o be_v my_o help_n and_o my_o god_n here_o the_o heart_n speak_v no_o comfort_n but_o be_v whole_o discourage_v and_o cast_v down_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o that_o same_o heart_n speak_v to_o the_o heart_n and_o comfort_v it_o with_o this_o that_o god_n be_v his_o god_n now_o that_o these_o consolation_n be_v the_o work_n and_o testimony_n of_o god_n spirit_n it_o appear_v by_o that_o reason_n which_o david_n give_v when_o he_o boast_v in_o strong_a confidence_n that_o although_o he_o shall_v walk_v through_o the_o valley_n of_o the_o shadow_n of_o death_n yet_o will_v he_o fear_v none_o evil_a say_v 23._o for_o thou_o be_v with_o i_o thy_o rod_n and_o thy_o staff_n they_o comfort_v i_o by_o these_o word_n declare_v that_o the_o experience_n he_o have_v of_o the_o comfort_n which_o god_n spirit_n do_v minister_v unto_o he_o in_o his_o most_o desperate_a will_v i_o trust_v in_o he_o he_o shall_v be_v my_o salvation_n here_o two_o different_a speece_n in_o one_o heart_n the_o one_o from_o the_o spirit_n of_o job_n the_o other_o from_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o job._n the_o one_o persuade_v that_o god_n be_v his_o salvation_n when_o the_o other_o say_v god_n have_v hide_v his_o face_n from_o he_o thus_o if_o we_o will_v cleerlie_o discern_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n spirit_n from_o the_o testimony_n of_o our_o own_o spirit_n let_v we_o behold_v our_o self_n when_o god_n try_v we_o rather_o than_o when_o he_o make_v our_o mountain_n to_o stand_v strong_a or_o when_o he_o do_v wrestle_v with_o we_o himself_o as_o he_o do_v with_o jacob_n and_o in_o seeminge_v to_o fight_v against_o we_o yet_o do_v sustain_v we_o by_o his_o own_o strength_n in_o we_o when_o our_o strength_n fail_v us._n thus_o i_o have_v as_o distinctlie_o as_o i_o can_v and_o therefore_o somewhat_o more_o large_o than_o a_o epistle_n perhaps_o
