which_o come_v from_o heaven_n nevertheless_o we_o will_v recoont_v the_o ascend_a as_o go_v upward_o &_o ascend_v from_o earth_n to_o heaven_n the_o first_o degree_n than_o be_v the_o fear_n of_o our_o lord_n which_o do_v terrify_v a_o sinner_n when_o he_o think_v that_o he_o have_v god_n almighty_a his_o enemiet_n the_o second_o degree_n be_v piety_n for_o he_o that_o fear_v punishment_n which_o god_n threaten_v against_o a_o sinner_n begin_v to_o become_v godly_a &_o desire_v to_o obey_v and_o serve_v god_n and_o to_o work_v his_o holy_a will_n in_o all_o thing_n the_o third_o degree_n be_v knowledge_n for_o that_o he_o who_o desire_v to_o work_v the_o will_n of_o god_n demand_v of_o god_n that_o he_o will_v teach_v he_o his_o holy_a commandment_n &_o god_n partly_o by_o preacher_n partly_o by_o book_n &_o partly_o by_o inward_a inspiration_n teach_v he_o all_o that_o be_v necessary_a the_o four_o degree_n be_v fortitude_n for_o he_o that_o know_v and_o be_v willing_a in_o all_o thing_n to_o serve_v god_n find_v many_o difficulty_n &_o tentation_n of_o the_o world_n the_o flesh_n &_o the_o devil_n and_o therefore_o god_n at_o that_o time_n of_o need_n give_v he_o christ_n say_v in_o the_o first_o degree_n that_o the_o poor_a in_o spirit_n be_v bless_v that_o be_v those_o who_o willing_o despise_v good_n in_o the_o second_o he_o say_v that_o the_o meek_a be_v bless_v that_o be_v those_o that_o geve_v place_n to_o all_o not_o resist_v those_o that_o put_v themselves_o before_o and_o thrust_v they_o behind_o in_o the_o three_o he_o say_v that_o those_o be_v bless_v that_o weep_v that_o be_v those_o that_o seek_v not_o the_o delight_n and_o pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n but_o attend_v to_o do_v penance_n and_o to_o be_v wail_v their_o sin_n in_o other_o two_o degree_n he_o teach_v we_o the_o perfection_n of_o the_o active_a life_n which_o consist_v in_o fulfil_v all_o that_o we_o be_v bind_v unto_o by_o justice_n and_o by_o charity_n therefore_o he_o say_v in_o the_o four_o degree_n that_o those_o be_v bless_v that_o hunger_n and_o thirst_n justice_n and_o in_o the_o five_o he_o say_v that_o the_o merciful_a be_v bless_v in_o the_o last_o two_o he_o draw_v we_o to_o perfection_n of_o the_o contemplative_a life_n and_o therefore_o he_o say_v in_o the_o six_o that_o they_o be_v bless_v that_o have_v a_o clean_a hart_n for_o they_o shall_v see_v god_n that_o be_v they_o shall_v
