love_n or_o hate_n choose_v or_o refuse_v it_o their_o will_n be_v distract_v by_o different_a motive_n in_o the_o same_o choice_n for_o the_o future_a pain_n will_v draw_v they_o to_o reject_v but_o the_o present_a joy_n invite_v they_o to_o embrace_v it_o so_o that_o in_o a_o different_a degree_n they_o both_o will_n and_o will_v the_o same_o thing_n they_o will_v have_v it_o and_o yet_o they_o will_v avoid_v it_o for_o they_o will_v enjoy_v what_o they_o desire_v but_o withal_o they_o will_v keep_v off_o from_o what_o they_o fear_v they_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o commit_v the_o sin_n because_o it_o will_v please_v they_o for_o the_o present_a and_o yet_o they_o be_v afraid_a of_o it_o because_o of_o that_o wrath_n which_o it_o treasure_n up_o for_o they_o against_o the_o time_n to_o come_v but_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o conflict_n in_o their_o own_o choice_n yet_o at_o last_o their_o sin_n prevail_v and_o they_o obey_v it_o for_o they_o have_v rather_o hazard_v all_o its_o torment_n than_o miss_v of_o its_o delight_n they_o be_v unwilling_a to_o venture_v upon_o those_o danger_n which_o it_o bring_v but_o yet_o they_o have_v rather_o venture_v on_o they_o than_o this_o be_v such_o a_o state_n as_o will_v never_o bring_v any_o man_n to_o heaven_n for_o whether_o he_o transgress_v willing_o or_o with_o reluctancy_n be_v not_o the_o question_n but_o if_o he_o choose_v at_o last_o to_o disobey_v when_o god_n come_v to_o judgement_n he_o shall_v be_v sure_a to_o pronounce_v upon_o he_o that_o death_n which_o he_o have_v establish_v for_o the_o punishment_n profligate_n and_o profane_a sinner_n here_o on_o earth_n they_o have_v now_o already_o so_o quite_o benumb_v their_o conscience_n that_o they_o neither_o allure_v nor_o threaten_v admonish_v nor_o accuse_v they_o and_o they_o sin_n without_o all_o contention_n they_o transgress_v and_o do_v not_o dispute_v their_o lust_n hurry_v they_o without_o any_o opposition_n so_o that_o they_o disobey_v most_o willing_o and_o free_a from_o all_o remorse_n but_o as_o for_o all_o the_o good_a and_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o wicked_a here_o on_o earth_n they_o be_v of_o a_o middle_a rate_n they_o both_o of_o they_o act_n through_o strife_n and_o conquest_n their_o consent_n be_v court_v on_o both_o side_n and_o when_o they_o comply_v with_o one_o they_o must_v refuse_v the_o other_o both_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n struggle_v in_o they_o although_o at_o last_o but_o one_o prevail_v for_o in_o the_o regenerate_v good_a man_n the_o flesh_n stir_v but_o it_o can_v conquer_v they_o have_v body_n and_o bodily_a appetite_n but_o they_o subdue_v they_o and_o as_o saint_n t_o paul_n say_v keep_v they_o under_o 1_o cor._n 9.27_o so_o that_o all_o the_o while_n the_o spirit_n rule_v in_o they_o when_o the_o flesh_n do_v but_o in_o vain_a solicit_v this_o may_v tempt_v but_o it_o can_v govern_v for_o the_o spirit_n give_v they_o law_n its_o pleasure_n they_o perform_v and_o what_o it_o command_v that_o in_o their_o action_n they_o obey_v but_o in_o the_o wicked_a and_o disobedient_a the_o case_n be_v quite_o opposite_a for_o in_o they_o although_o their_o conscience_n smite_v they_o yet_o can_v it_o not_o prevail_v with_o they_o it_o suggest_v but_o they_o will_v not_o hearken_v it_o show_v the_o way_n but_o they_o will_v not_o follow_v it_o in_o all_o thing_n their_o lust_n be_v the_o governor_n of_o their_o life_n and_o action_n so_o that_o although_o the_o lash_n of_o their_o conscience_n may_v sharpen_v and_o embitter_v yet_o be_v they_o not_o able_a to_o disappoint_v the_o service_n of_o their_o sin_n in_o all_o the_o obedience_n therefore_o and_o in_o the_o great_a part_n of_o the_o transgression_n here_o on_o earth_n there_o be_v still_o something_o of_o struggle_v and_o reluctance_n man_n act_v not_o by_o a_o will_n that_o be_v void_a of_o all_o restraint_n or_o by_o a_o desire_n and_o choice_n that_o be_v free_a from_o all_o unwillingness_n but_o there_o be_v a_o mixture_n of_o love_n and_o hatred_n a_o unwilling_a will_n that_o carry_v they_o on_o either_o to_o act_v obedience_n or_o to_o disobey_v but_o notwithstanding_o their_o ineffective_a wish_n and_o imperfect_a woulding_n to_o the_o contrary_a it_o be_v their_o peremptory_a will_n and_o last_o choice_n which_o shall_v determine_v their_o condition_n for_o if_o they_o will_v and_o choose_v to_o do_v what_o god_n command_v in_o spite_n of_o all_o the_o gainsay_n wish_v raise_v by_o their_o fleshly_a appetite_n they_o shall_v be_v pardon_v and_o acquit_v when_o the_o
