not_o of_o your_o own_o way_n and_o party_n and_o this_o only_a for_o your_o profession_n and_o separation-sake_n and_o that_o though_o you_o pretend_v more_o in_o this_o kind_n and_o great_a purity_n than_o other_o yet_o you_o show_v forth_o no_o more_o of_o real_a virtue_n nor_o of_o the_o unquestionable_a fruit_n of_o well-doing_n than_o other_o that_o pretend_v not_o so_o much_o and_o they_o think_v because_o they_o can_v see_v more_o that_o there_o be_v no_o more_o goodness_n or_o betterness_n in_o you_o than_o in_o other_o but_o only_o that_o you_o pretend_v to_o be_v more_o separate_a if_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o be_v more_o it_o will_v infinite_o promote_v and_o propagate_v it_o three_o you_o be_v suspect_v and_o charge_v with_o be_v too_o much_o conform_v to_o this_o world_n and_o some_o of_o you_o as_o much_o as_o any_o viz._n in_o pride_n vanity_n gallantry_n in_o yourselves_o clothes_n habit_n and_o in_o the_o education_n and_o bring_v up_o of_o your_o child_n in_o scandalous_a way_n and_o breed_n according_a to_o the_o pride_n pomp_n and_o vanity_n of_o this_o world_n some_o that_o have_v look_v into_o your_o way_n and_o garb_n yea_o into_o your_o meeting_n congregation_n have_v see_v as_o much_o of_o this_o as_o any_o where_o else_o and_o if_o they_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o see_v more_o they_o may_v go_v from_o thence_o to_o the_o dance_a school_n to_o the_o most_o pompous_a and_o vicious_a part_n of_o they_o your_o ball_n masque_n etc._n etc._n by_o occasion_n of_o all_o which_o some_o scoff_n other_o take_v offence_n other_o be_v grieve_v and_o some_o take_v occasion_n to_o go_v into_o the_o contrary_a extreme_n see_v so_o much_o pride_n and_o vanity_n in_o and_o among_o professor_n four_o that_o you_o be_v often_o find_v oppressor_n hard_a of_o it_o five_o that_o when_o you_o be_v injure_v and_o anger_v you_o can_v free_o forgive_v nor_o bear_v much_o but_o be_v too_o apt_a to_o envy_v hate_v take_v the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n this_o most_o proper_a and_o necessary_a way_n so_o that_o take_v the_o matter_n and_o consider_v it_o how_o we_o will_v it_o be_v manifest_a the_o ordinary_a work_n and_o operation_n of_o god_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n upon_o we_o in_o the_o make_v his_o will_n know_v make_v of_o we_o to_o understand_v and_o to_o be_v impress_v with_o the_o knowledge_n and_o sense_n of_o divine_a thing_n or_o thing_n of_o god_n must_v be_v by_o and_o through_o the_o use_n and_o exercise_v of_o our_o reason_n judgement_n and_o understanding_n 7._o and_o final_o if_o any_o plead_v and_o contend_v that_o according_a to_o these_o proceed_n man_n may_v and_o do_v deceive_v themselves_o we_o daily_o see_v they_o run_v into_o great_a error_n heresy_n mistake_n notwithstanding_o otherwise_o rational_a offensive_a and_o grate_a to_o the_o ear_n of_o the_o more_o judicious_a and_o give_v occasion_n more_o than_o you_o think_v for_o but_o aught_o to_o consider_v to_o other_o to_o scoff_n deride_v and_o thereby_o countenance_n and_o confirm_v themselves_o in_o what_o they_o be_v willing_a enough_o to_o believe_v viz._n that_o you_o be_v as_o they_o call_v you_o fanatical_a and_o man_n of_o absurd_a speech_n and_o sometime_o of_o behaviour_n in_o your_o religious_a exercise_n and_o though_o this_o may_v as_o well_o be_v charge_v upon_o other_o and_o some_o of_o your_o accuser_n as_o well_o as_o any_o yet_o they_o have_v the_o advantage_n of_o you_o in_o state-favour_n and_o be_v otherwise_o more_o in_o the_o fashion_n than_o you_o be_v they_o can_v make_v that_o use_n of_o it_o against_o you_o which_o you_o can_v against_o they_o neither_o aught_o if_o you_o can_v and_o this_o shall_v make_v you_o the_o more_o careful_a with_o the_o great_a piety_n and_o prudence_n to_o manage_v all_o thing_n of_o a_o religious_a nature_n with_o such_o a_o comeliness_n and_o decorum_n that_o you_o may_v disparage_v neither_o religion_n nor_o yourselves_o and_o though_o such_o kind_n of_o run_n out_o may_v not_o displease_v but_o sometime_o rather_o please_v delight_n some_o of_o the_o more_o raw_a and_o ignorant_a sort_n of_o people_n yet_o to_o the_o judicious_a even_o among_o the_o one_o hand_n and_o also_o all_o absurd_a unhandsome_a uncomely_a utterance_n and_o expression_n on_o the_o other_o and_o what_o be_v speak_v on_o such_o occasion_n may_v be_v sober_a serious_a rational_a and_o manly_a but_o of_o this_o i_o shall_v take_v no_o further_o notice_n have_v do_v it_o before_o only_o i_o can_v choose_v but_o wonder_n that_o you_o have_v hear_v and_o see_v so_o not_o now_o be_v more_o careful_a in_o it_o etc._n etc._n 3._o something_o of_o this_o nature_n be_v note_v of_o you_o in_o and_o about_o the_o performance_n of_o religious_a duty_n and_o about_o the_o take_n up_o some_o private_a opinion_n notion_n and_o practice_n in_o religion_n upon_o the_o account_n of_o a_o new_a pretend_a revelation_n or_o new_a impulse_n strong_a and_o extraordinary_a motion_n upon_o your_o spirit_n for_o the_o first_o as_o to_o religious_a duty_n and_o service_n this_o be_v charge_v on_o you_o and_o by_o some_o too_o much_o occasion_n be_v give_v for_o it_o that_o you_o will_v not_o pray_v to_o give_v that_o as_o a_o instance_n for_o the_o whole_a or_o go_v about_o any_o such_o religious_a service_n till_o you_o be_v first_o strong_o and_o inward_o move_v to_o it_o or_o as_o some_o speak_v have_v a_o impulse_n upon_o their_o mind_n or_o be_v move_v by_o the_o spirit_n and_o when_o such_o a_o forcible_a touch_n or_o strong_a motion_n be_v upon_o their_o mind_n right_a or_o wrong_n they_o account_v it_o a_o move_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n mere_o because_o they_o be_v strong_o move_v and_o persuade_v and_o if_o such_o a_o motion_n be_v not_o they_o reckon_v and_o do_v account_n they_o be_v not_o oblige_v at_o all_o to_o the_o performance_n of_o any_o duty_n in_o answer_n to_o this_o consider_v first_o i_o grant_v that_o christian_n may_v at_o sometime_o be_v stir_v and_o move_v in_o their_o spirit_n to_o some_o religious_a work_n and_o service_n more_o than_o at_o another_o time_n and_o that_o he_o that_o be_v so_o do_v well_o to_o take_v and_o not_o to_o omit_v such_o a_o opportunity_n etc._n etc._n but_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o set_v upon_o the_o performance_n of_o prayer_n or_o any_o christian_a service_n till_o he_o be_v so_o stir_v and_o inward_o and_o strong_o move_v this_o be_v a_o doctrine_n and_o persuasion_n than_o which_o nothing_o be_v more_o foolish_a and_o pernicious_a or_o fanatic_a if_o you_o will_v have_v learning_n and_o draw_v our_o duty_n from_o they_o together_o with_o the_o spiritual_a nature_n excellency_n and_o dignity_n of_o the_o thing_n we_o be_v to_o understand_v the_o thing_n of_o god_n and_o of_o eternal_a happiness_n and_o herein_o we_o have_v the_o promise_n and_o may_v expect_v to_o receive_v the_o help_n of_o the_o divine_a spirit_n in_o and_z by_o the_o mean_n of_o our_o they_o that_o will_v not_o can_v not_o stir_v until_o they_o be_v forcible_o lead_v and_o that_o can_v not_o upon_o the_o appearance_n of_o the_o reason_n necessity_n and_o occasion_n of_o the_o duty_n set_v themselves_o about_o it_o or_o know_v when_o to_o do_v it_o out_o of_o doubt_n it_o must_v be_v judge_v the_o most_o free_a most_o generous_a and_o excellent_a kind_n of_o obedience_n
