the_o merit_n of_o work_n which_o be_v disclaim_v by_o my_o brother_n and_o yet_o be_v real_o include_v in_o his_o hypothesis_n for_o what_o be_v merit_n but_o when_o the_o reward_n be_v due_a to_o some_o work_n do_v and_o now_o if_o the_o gospel_n be_v in_o that_o respect_n a_o law_n that_o it_o require_v duty_n as_o condition_n of_o have_v a_o claim_n to_o its_o blessing_n and_o promise_v they_o to_o the_o performance_n of_o those_o condition_n then_o to_o they_o perform_v though_o of_o never_o so_o little_a consideration_n the_o blessing_n must_v be_v give_v not_o as_o the_o fruit_n of_o mere_a grace_n but_o as_o the_o result_v of_o a_o just_a debt_n however_o though_o the_o opinion_n be_v not_o profess_o so_o rank_a as_o popery_n and_o arminianism_n yet_o in_o the_o least_o nearness_n to_o those_o destructive_a error_n there_o be_v danger_n and_o within_o the_o very_a confine_n dwell_v plague_n and_o death_n the_o people_n can_v then_o with_o too_o much_o zeal_n be_v warn_v of_o the_o hazardous_a approach_n which_o lead_v they_o on_o to_o be_v betray_v into_o the_o enemy_n camp_n they_o understand_v not_o the_o nicety_n of_o controversy_n and_o of_o error_n so_o refine_v that_o they_o escape_v their_o discern_a they_o be_v not_o afraid_a and_o yet_o all_o the_o while_n the_o venom_n work_v more_o desperate_o for_o be_v subtilise_v and_o the_o invisible_a spirit_n of_o it_o mortal_o seize_v their_o brain_n when_o they_o startle_v at_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o poison_n offer_v in_o its_o grosser_n bulk_n i_o hope_v then_o my_o reverend_a brother_n and_o
