the_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o be_v accompany_v with_o power_n and_o therefore_o christ_n be_v say_v to_o be_v full_a of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o of_o power_n and_o so_o stephen_n and_o john_n the_o baptist_n and_o grace_n be_v say_v to_o be_v a_o powerful_a thing_n be_v strong_a in_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n and_o in_o the_o power_n of_o his_o might_n now_o the_o reason_n why_o godliness_n have_v power_n be_v because_o god_n have_v put_v virtue_n into_o it_o as_o when_o you_o see_v such_o and_o such_o a_o herb_n have_v such_o a_o virtue_n in_o it_o to_o do_v such_o and_o such_o a_o thing_n it_o be_v because_o god_n have_v endue_v it_o with_o such_o a_o power_n and_o so_o have_v he_o do_v with_o godliness_n if_o therefore_o thou_o have_v any_o thing_n to_o do_v in_o religion_n set_v on_o it_o have_v thou_o any_o lust_n to_o overcome_v set_v on_o it_o and_o let_v i_o speak_v to_o thou_o as_o he_o speak_v to_o gideon_n go_v on_o thou_o valiant_a man_n in_o the_o might_n of_o the_o lord_n the_o people_n of_o israel_n travel_v to_o the_o land_n of_o canaan_n see_v the_o city_n wall_v to_o heaven_n and_o that_o the_o giant_n be_v there_o the_o son_n of_o anak_n yet_o joshua_n bid_v they_o be_v of_o good_a comfort_n and_o fear_v not_o for_o the_o lord_n will_v fight_v for_o they_o and_o deliver_v their_o adversary_n into_o their_o hand_n so_o though_o you_o see_v difficulty_n in_o the_o way_n to_o heaven_n yet_o godliness_n be_v a_o powerful_a thing_n that_o will_v carry_v you_o through_o all_o therefore_o likewise_o the_o apostle_n have_v pray_v for_o the_o ephesian_n that_o they_o may_v not_o faint_v at_o his_o tribulation_n for_o they_o which_o be_v their_o 〈◊〉_d glory_n but_o that_o they_o may_v be_v strengthen_v with_o might_n by_o his_o spirit_n in_o the_o inner_a man_n to_o comprehend_v with_o all_o saint_n the_o breadth_n and_o length_n and_o depth_n and_o height_n and_o to_o know_v the_o love_n of_o christ_n wh●ch_n pass_v knowledge_n which_o because_o they_o may_v think_v they_o shall_v never_o be_v able_a to_o do_v he_o add_v to_o he_o that_o be_v able_a to_o do_v above_o 21._o all_o that_o we_o can_v ask_v or_o think_v according_a to_o the_o power_n that_o work_v in_o we_o be_v all_o glory_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v god_n be_v able_a to_o do_v it_o and_o that_o by_o the_o power_n which_o work_v in_o he_o so_o suppose_v to_o subdue_v some_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n be_v a_o thing_n so_o hard_o as_o you_o think_v it_o will_v never_o be_v do_v nay_o you_o conceive_v it_o to_o be_v a_o thing_n so_o improbable_a as_o that_o you_o be_v ashamed_a to_o ask_v it_o yet_o according_a 19_o to_o that_o power_n which_o work_v in_o we_o he_o be_v able_a to_o do_v above_o all_o we_o ask_v or_o think_v and_o therefore_o he_o pray_v that_o their_o eye_n may_v be_v open_v that_o they_o may_v see_v the_o greatness_n of_o the_o power_n that_o wrought_v in_o they_o and_o it_o be_v not_o that_o they_o may_v see_v and_o look_v at_o it_o idle_o but_o for_o the_o use_n to_o serve_v their_o turn_n that_o they_o lay_v hold_n of_o it_o and_o use_v of_o it_o may_v be_v able_a to_o do_v these_o thing_n which_o they_o desire_v shall_v be_v do_v even_o such_o thing_n to_o which_o a_o man_n nature_n be_v as_o untoward_a as_o water_n be_v to_o heat_v when_o there_o be_v none_o in_o it_o only_o as_o christ_n say_v to_o mary_n believe_v and_o you_o shall_v see_v the_o power_n of_o god_n thou_o must_v go_v to_o god_n for_o it_o by_o faith_n and_o god_n will_v show_v it_o forth_o unto_o you_o and_o you_o shall_v have_v fruit_n of_o it_o the_o end_n of_o faith_n be_v not_o only_o to_o apply_v the_o holy_a promise_n of_o justification_n but_o of_o sanctification_n also_o as_o for_o example_n he_o have_v promise_v to_o baptize_v you_o with_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o with_o fire_n that_o be_v with_o zeal_n &_o other_o grace_n of_o the_o spirit_n which_o must_v give_v they_o power_n and_o strength_n and_o all_o that_o sin_n may_v not_o reign_v in_o their_o mortal_a body_n go_v to_o god_n then_o and_o urge_v he_o with_o his_o promise_n and_o he_o can_v deny_v you_o when_o man_n therefore_o think_v to_o excuse_v themselves_o by_o say_v i_o be_o not_o able_a to_o do_v such_o a_o thing_n what_o will_v you_o have_v i_o to_o do_v it_o be_v no_o excuse_n for_o if_o they_o be_v but_o willing_a it_o be_v all_o he_o require_v of_o they_o the_o power_n that_o belong_v to_o god_n which_o if_o man_n will_v but_o believe_v and_o go_v to_o he_o he_o will_v undoubted_o give_v it_o they_o i_o therefore_o now_o ask_v thou_o will_v thou_o turn_v to_o god_n will_v thou_o overcome_v such_o and_o such_o a_o lust_n of_o uncleanness_n drunkenness_n etc._n etc._n be_v it_o what_o it_o will_v be_v if_o thou_o answer_v no_o then_o thou_o be_v just_o condemn_v thy_o blood_n be_v upon_o thy_o own_o head_n but_o if_o thou_o say_v yes_o thou_o will_v then_o come_v but_o to_o god_n be_v resolute_a to_o be_v religious_a in_o good_a earnest_n and_o i_o will_v assure_v thou_o he_o will_v vouchsafe_v thou_o power_n to_o do_v it_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o god_n will_v confirm_v they_o unto_o the_o end_n that_o they_o may_v be_v blameless_a in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n for_o say_v he_o god_n be_v faithful_a he_o have_v say_v he_o have_v promise_v it_o he_o shall_v break_v his_o word_n if_o he_o do_v not_o let_v i_o reason_n it_o a_o little_a with_o you_o be_v it_o not_o a_o acceptable_a request_n to_o go_v to_o god_n with_o all_o thy_o heart_n and_o to_o say_v lord_n i_o desire_v but_o the_o power_n and_o strength_n to_o go_v through_o with_o thy_o own_o work_n do_v thou_o think_v he_o will_v not_o hear_v thou_o remember_v christ_n the_o only_a physician_n how_o ready_a he_o be_v to_o heal_v man_n of_o their_o bodily_a disease_n when_o they_o come_v unto_o he_o and_o he_o have_v not_o put_v off_o his_o nature_n now_o do_v thou_o think_v the_o power_n of_o his_o death_n &_o resurrection_n be_v but_o fancy_n or_o a_o notion_n if_o not_o go_v on_o and_o fear_v not_o for_o as_o god_n say_v to_o joshua_n so_o shall_v thou_o find_v he_o to_o deal_v with_o thou_o i_o will_v never_o leave_v thou_o
