know_v you_o not_o your_o own_o self_n how_o that_o christ_n be_v in_o you_o except_o you_o be_v reprobate_n so_o it_o be_v plain_a by_o scripture_n that_o a_o man_n may_v know_v certain_o that_o he_o to_o all_o that_o call_v upon_o he_o in_o truth_n so_o that_o god_n be_v not_o only_o present_a to_o sustain_v and_o uphold_v we_o in_o the_o life_n of_o nature_n but_o to_o be_v present_a with_o we_o in_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n therefore_o to_o want_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n 2._o be_v to_o want_v the_o comfortable_a feel_n of_o god_n in_o grace_n and_o goodness_n this_o be_v mean_v by_o be_v forsake_v of_o god_n to_o find_v god_n angry_a countenance_n against_o we_o for_o sin_n second_o forsake_v how_o far_o forth_o christ_n and_o so_o a_o christian_a may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v forsake_v i_o answer_v two_o way_n 1._o the_o one_o be_v in_o the_o life_n of_o nature_n 2._o the_o other_o be_v in_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n first_o 1_o in_o the_o life_n of_o nature_n when_o god_n take_v away_o our_o sight_n our_o strength_n our_o health_n our_o breath_n or_o life_n and_o thus_o the_o dear_a servant_n of_o god_n may_v be_v forsake_v thus_o christ_n be_v forsake_v and_o the_o it_o grow_v in_o the_o body_n sometime_o in_o the_o bough_n and_o branch_n and_o sometime_o close_a and_o secret_a in_o the_o root_n which_o close_a and_o secret_a growth_n be_v as_o needful_a for_o the_o tree_n as_o that_o which_o be_v sensible_a and_o visible_a so_o a_o christian_n grow_v continual_o but_o not_o always_o in_o one_o grace_n sometime_o in_o one_o and_o sometime_o in_o another_o sometime_o in_o the_o body_n and_o sometime_o in_o the_o branch_n and_o sometime_o in_o the_o root_n close_o and_o secret_a that_o be_v in_o humility_n which_o close_a and_o secret_a growth_n in_o a_o christian_n be_v as_o needful_a as_o that_o which_o be_v visible_a and_o sensible_a second_o 2._o i_o answer_v that_o a_o christian_n see_v not_o his_o growth_n because_o there_o be_v some_o impediment_n that_o hinder_v the_o same_o we_o see_v in_o experience_n that_o a_o child_n may_v feed_v on_o good_a meat_n and_o yet_o he_o may_v not_o grow_v nor_o thrive_v with_o it_o and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o it_o do_v secret_o eat_v chalk_n or_o coal_n or_o dirt_n or_o salt_n and_o then_o it_o will_v not_o grow_v even_o so_o it_o be_v in_o a_o christian_a though_o he_o feed_v on_o good_a meat_n on_o the_o word_n of_o eternal_a life_n yet_o because_o he_o feed_v on_o chalk_n or_o coal_n or_o dirt_n or_o salt_n secret_o that_o be_v he_o have_v close_a and_o secret_a sin_n which_o he_o commit_v unseen_a and_o this_o it_o be_v that_o hinder_v his_o growth_n in_o grace_n but_o if_o he_o leave_v his_o sin_n and_o repent_v of_o they_o then_o he_o shall_v feel_v a_o growth_n and_o a_o increase_n of_o grace_n in_o he_o the_o foruth_n conclusion_n be_v conclusion_n although_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n grow_v and_o in_o crease_n in_o a_o man_n yet_o they_o come_v not_o to_o
