simile_n green_a yet_o if_o it_o be_v long_o blow_v at_o the_o length_n it_o will_v be_v dry_a and_o take_v fire_n so_o it_o be_v with_o the_o heart_n a_o man_n may_v be_v long_o about_o get_v it_o on_o the_o wing_n yet_o with_o much_o ado_n he_o may_v do_v it_o and_o therefore_o he_o ought_v to_o do_v this_o duty_n in_o such_o a_o case_n yea_o so_o much_o the_o rather_o because_o there_o be_v never_o more_o need_v of_o call_v upon_o god_n then_o at_o such_o a_o time_n for_o then_o a_o man_n lie_v most_o expose_v to_o temptation_n then_o if_o any_o sin_n come_v he_o be_v ready_a to_o be_v overtake_v with_o it_o he_o be_v unfit_a for_o any_o thing_n and_o therefore_o note_n if_o ever_o he_o have_v need_v to_o call_v upon_o god_n it_o be_v at_o that_o time_n but_o you_o will_v say_v it_o may_v be_v god_n will_v not_o accept_v it_o object_n i_o answer_v brief_o if_o a_o man_n heart_n be_v so_o indispose_v 2._o that_o when_o he_o have_v do_v all_o he_o can_v yet_o he_o can_v get_v no_o life_n he_o can_v get_v no_o heat_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o such_o a_o duty_n yet_o god_n may_v accept_v that_o prayer_n as_o well_o as_o that_o which_o be_v most_o servant_n and_o that_o you_o may_v understand_v this_o aright_o you_o must_v take_v it_o with_o this_o distinction_n this_o dulness_n and_o deadness_n in_o prayer_n it_o come_v from_o one_o of_o these_o two_o cause_n dulness_n one_o be_v when_o god_n withdraw_v his_o own_o spirit_n desertion_n that_o be_v withdraw_v not_o his_o spirit_n altogether_o part_n for_o there_o may_v be_v a_o help_n when_o we_o perceive_v it_o not_o but_o when_o he_o withdraw_v the_o liveliness_n and_o quickness_n of_o his_o spirit_n and_o in_o this_o case_n if_o we_o do_v our_o duty_n if_o we_o do_v the_o best_a we_o can_v the_o lord_n do_v accept_v it_o though_o he_o have_v not_o vouchsafe_v such_o enlargement_n of_o our_o heart_n though_o he_o have_v not_o pour_v out_o his_o spirit_n upon_o we_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o the_o duty_n as_o at_o other_o time_n but_o he_o give_v a_o secret_a help_n that_o perhaps_o we_o feel_v not_o nor_o perhaps_o be_v so_o great_a as_o at_o other_o time_n yet_o i_o say_v when_o it_o arise_v from_o his_o own_o withdraw_n of_o that_o fitness_n &_o we_o be_v not_o negligent_a but_o we_o do_v our_o best_a in_o this_o case_n god_n accept_v the_o will_n for_o the_o 〈◊〉_d as_o we_o have_v often_o say_v to_o you_o that_o rule_n always_o hold_v good_a when_o the_o impediment_n be_v such_o as_o we_o can_v remove_v when_o the_o dulness_n of_o spirit_n be_v such_o as_o it_o be_v not_o in_o our_o power_n to_o remove_v when_o we_o have_v use_v our_o utmost_a diligence_n in_o that_o case_n it_o be_v no_o hindrance_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o great_a comfort_n unto_o we_o that_o we_o have_v use_v our_o diligence_n in_o this_o duty_n when_o we_o have_v use_v our_o best_a to_o quicken_v our_o heart_n though_o it_o be_v not_o do_v yet_o god_n accept_v our_o prayer_n as_o well_o as_o if_o they_o be_v perform_v in_o a_o more_o lively_a and_o fervent_a manner_n the_o next_o case_n be_v what_o a_o man_n be_v to_o do_v after_o he_o have_v commit_v some_o great_a sin_n after_o he_o have_v sin_n wound_v his_o conscience_n whether_o then_o not_o withstand_v he_o must_v come_v &_o keep_v his_o constant_a course_n in_o prayer_n morning_n &_o evening_n whether_o he_o shall_v be_v
