effectual_o first_o the_o law_n do_v not_o reveal_v the_o knowledge_n of_o salvarion_n so_o clear_o for_o it_o reveal_v it_o only_o in_o type_n and_o shadow_n and_o resemblance_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v heb._n 10.1_o the_o law_n have_v the_o shadow_n of_o good_a thing_n to_o come_v and_o not_o the_o very_a image_n of_o the_o thing_n he_o compare_v the_o law_n to_o a_o shadow_n it_o do_v dispel_v all_o those_o cloud_n and_o shadow_n that_o be_v in_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n the_o gospel_n do_v as_o it_o be_v draw_v the_o curtain_n that_o now_o we_o may_v with_o open_a face_n through_o the_o corruption_n of_o man_n heart_n that_o do_v not_o obey_v it_o but_o do_v reject_v it_o that_o do_v resist_v it_o a_o king_n pardon_n you_o know_v do_v not_o kill_v any_o by_o itself_o but_o by_o the_o contempt_n of_o a_o malefactor_n that_o do_v reject_v it_o and_o so_o the_o pardon_n may_v double_v the_o malefactor_n guilt_n and_o bring_v upon_o he_o a_o more_o speedy_a and_o fearful_a execution_n so_o here_o the_o gracious_a pardon_n of_o god_n that_o be_v tender_v in_o the_o gospel_n do_v not_o kill_v or_o condemn_v any_o in_o itself_o or_o in_o be_v own_o nature_n but_o through_o the_o contempt_n of_o those_o that_o do_v disregard_n it_o in_o this_o regard_n not_o simple_o but_o accidental_o through_o the_o corruption_n of_o man_n heart_n and_o nature_n in_o this_o regard_n
