the_o principle_n of_o life_n proportionable_a to_o its_o state_n and_o growth_n even_o then_o but_o the_o reason_n of_o thy_o dark_a mâ—nde_n will_v be_v continual_o overcloud_v and_o overbear_v it_o as_o if_o it_o be_v darkness_n and_o not_o the_o light_n &_o will_v prevail_v unless_o thou_o be_v keep_v in_o the_o savour_n and_o suffer_v not_o thy_o understanding_n to_o judge_v but_o keep_v it_o under_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o savour_n mark_v therefore_o heedful_o this_o which_o follow_v the_o first_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v to_o confound_v the_o knowledge_n and_o understanding_n of_o the_o creature_n especial_o in_o those_o who_o have_v be_v deep_a in_o wisdom_n and_o experience_n of_o thing_n for_o if_o they_o be_v not_o close_o pursue_v with_o darkness_n and_o confusion_n they_o will_v present_o be_v gather_v a_o stock_n into_o the_o old_a store-house_n again_o and_o so_o grow_v wise_a after_o the_o flesh_n and_o never_o learn_v the_o life_n of_o the_o spirit_n now_o in_o this_o work_n of_o confound_v how_o can_v the_o leading_n of_o god_n spirit_n be_v manifest_a and_o clear_a after_o the_o flesh_n and_o to_o the_o fleshly_a understanding_n yea_o if_o they_o be_v manifest_a after_o this_o manner_n how_o be_v it_o possible_a to_o withhold_v the_o fleshly_a part_n from_o drink_v they_o in_o and_o so_o the_o man_n will_v live_v again_o but_o the_o seed_n not_o live_v which_o gain_v its_o life_n and_o be_v and_o form_n and_o perfection_n in_o the_o man_n by_o the_o death_n of_o the_o man_n even_o by_o the_o man_n be_v hunt_v and_o batter_v and_o break_v out_o of_o his_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n and_o reason_v and_o comprehension_n and_o become_v as_o a_o fool_n or_o child_n be_v able_a to_o know_v nothing_o nor_o retain_v nothing_o nor_o perform_v nothing_o nor_o keep_v his_o stand_n but_o still_o as_o he_o be_v lead_v and_o teach_v and_o create_v and_o preserve_v in_o the_o power_n and_o by_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o life_n concern_v the_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n succeed_v and_o fill_v up_o the_o room_n thereof_o 3._o there_o be_v great_a danger_n of_o fall_v from_o the_o life_n for_o some_o as_o also_o of_o chastizement_n and_o judgement_n to_o other_o while_o this_o capacity_n remain_v even_o while_o the_o earthly_a nature_n spirit_n and_o principle_n be_v not_o wear_v out_o by_o the_o entrance_n death_n and_o resurrection_n of_o the_o principle_n of_o life_n in_o the_o heart_n 4._o when_o the_o first_o principle_n be_v whole_o dead_a and_o the_o heart_n perfect_o form_v in_o the_o life_n and_o all_o perfect_o raise_v and_o renew_v in_o the_o life_n then_o there_o be_v no_o danger_n of_o fall_v or_o fear_n of_o chastisement_n but_o perfect_a life_n and_o peace_n and_o joy_n with_o god_n in_o his_o spirit_n of_o power_n and_o glory_n for_o ever_o more_o 5._o though_o god_n begin_v with_o man_n in_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o bring_v in_o a_o covenant_n of_o the_o law_n to_o man_n suitable_a to_o his_o present_a state_n only_o in_o subserviency_n to_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o will_v not_o have_v man_n stick_v there_o but_o cling_v to_o he_o in_o the_o grace_n and_o seek_v remission_n through_o the_o grace_n for_o his_o own_o name_n sake_n yet_o man_n through_o the_o prevalency_n of_o the_o first_o principle_n in_o he_o and_o his_o look_v on_o god_n through_o
