etc._n and_o the_o former_a place_n of_o scripture_n have_v prove_v the_o contrary_a but_o my_o purpose_n be_v to_o show_v that_o if_o at_o any_o other_o time_n it_o be_v to_o be_v practise_v then_o especial_o upon_o the_o lord_n day_n and_o true_o i_o be_o so_o much_o the_o long_o in_o this_o thing_n &_o will_v fain_o be_v as_o importunate_a in_o it_o as_o i_o may_v because_o as_o i_o know_v it_o to_o be_v a_o thing_n of_o great_a moment_n man_n the_o sing_n of_o psalm_n be_v great_o decay_a in_o all_o place_n and_o among_o all_o sort_n of_o man_n so_o i_o have_v observe_v it_o to_o be_v great_o neglect_v in_o our_o time_n above_o that_o which_o have_v wont_a to_o be_v at_o the_o first_o restore_v of_o the_o gospel_n and_o be_v like_a to_o be_v less_o regard_v in_o time_n to_o come_v for_o beside_o that_o there_o be_v too_o many_o which_o be_v of_o great_a year_n that_o never_o sing_v psalm_n in_o their_o life_n neither_o can_v do_v nor_o have_v any_o care_n to_o learn_v though_o they_o can_v sing_v some_o other_o vain_a song_n very_o perfect_o and_o though_o they_o can_v read_v themselves_o nor_o any_o of_o they_o yet_o will_v have_v many_o ballad_n set_v up_o in_o their_o itself_o far_o and_o near_o for_o even_o among_o they_o which_o be_v give_v most_o to_o sing_v this_o be_v the_o least_o thing_n that_o they_o do_v and_o indeed_o many_o of_o the_o common_a sing_v man_n be_v so_o ungodly_a that_o it_o be_v better_o for_o they_o to_o have_v their_o mouth_n stop_v then_o once_o to_o open_v they_o to_o pollute_v such_o holy_a and_o sacred_a song_n and_o as_o for_o other_o though_o they_o have_v all_o variety_n of_o music_n both_o upon_o instrument_n and_o with_o the_o voice_n and_o that_o every_o day_n yet_o many_o of_o they_o very_o seldom_o or_o scarce_o once_o a_o year_n do_v hear_v a_o psalm_n save_v in_o the_o church_n i_o do_v not_o find_v fault_n with_o this_o kind_n of_o music_n but_o do_v esteem_n of_o it_o as_o i_o ought_v even_o of_o the_o most_o exquisite_a that_o may_v be_v i_o confess_v it_o to_o be_v the_o especial_a gift_n of_o god_n in_o any_o i_o know_v it_o very_o well_o to_o be_v commend_v in_o the_o scripture_n and_o that_o
