we_o have_v natural_o in_o our_o mind_n be_v not_o sin_n but_o doubt_v be_v natural_a therefore_o it_o be_v not_o sin_n we_o answer_v to_o the_o proposition_n or_o mayor_n by_o distinguish_v natural_a towards_o the_o in_o jesus_n christ_n a_o increase_n &_o proceed_n from_o faith_n to_o faith_n so_o be_v there_o in_o the_o wicked_a by_o reason_n of_o their_o own_o sin_n and_o satan_n malice_n against_o they_o a_o proceed_n from_o one_o iniquity_n to_o another_o they_o grow_v in_o naughtiness_n as_o they_o do_v in_o year_n on_o the_o other_o side_n where_o there_o be_v hope_n and_o conscience_n more_o doubt_n of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o those_o that_o it_o know_v not_o or_o can_v remember_v than_o it_o do_v of_o those_o that_o be_v ever_o before_o we_o since_o this_o be_v strength_n of_o this_o reason_n rest_v in_o the_o mayor_n or_o proposition_n as_o we_o call_v it_o &_o in_o the_o large_a or_o narrow_a signification_n of_o this_o word_n knower_n of_o the_o heart_n reasonable_a well_o for_o this_o of_o search_v the_o heart_n be_v as_o also_o the_o former_a above_o name_v be_v of_o that_o sort_n of_o attribute_n in_o or_o to_o god_n which_o though_o they_o be_v in_o he_o in_o all_o absolute_a fullness_n and_o without_o measure_n yet_o be_v they_o communicate_v to_o the_o godly_a especial_o and_o that_o in_o such_o measure_n as_o he_o see_v to_o be_v fit_a for_o they_o and_o yet_o he_o have_v never_o a_o whit_n the_o less_o in_o himself_o and_o this_o be_v that_o in_o some_o sort_n and_o sense_n which_o solomon_n say_v in_o the_o proverbe_n the_o thought_n of_o man_n heart_n be_v as_o deep_a fountain_n but_o a_o man_n of_o understanding_n will_v draw_v they_o dry_a but_o more_o plain_o and_o particular_o the_o apostle_n say_v no_o man_n know_v the_o thing_n of_o a_o man_n but_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n which_o be_v within_o himself_o but_o god_n spirit_n make_v the_o spiritual_a man_n able_a to_o judge_v and_o discern_v all_o thing_n yet_o he_o himself_o to_o be_v judge_v of_o no_o man_n so_o that_o we_o may_v see_v that_o the_o mayor_n proposition_n be_v not_o simple_a here_o but_o must_v of_o necessity_n be_v understand_v with_o a_o condition_n or_o exception_n thus_o he_o that_o alone_o be_v the_o knower_n of_o the_o heart_n yea_o of_o all_o thing_n he_o only_o be_v assure_v or_o certain_o know_v our_o salvation_n unless_o it_o have_v please_v he_o in_o his_o word_n to_o reveal_v something_o concern_v that_o unto_o we_o and_o will_v have_v we_o thereby_o to_o be_v assure_v thereof_o for_o then_o have_v communicate_v that_o knowledge_n which_o in_o himself_o be_v

secret_a and_o unknown_a will_n to_o we_o in_o such_o matter_n as_o belong_v not_o to_o our_o salvation_n as_o in_o the_o wonderful_a government_n of_o his_o church_n translation_n of_o empire_n etc._n etc._n can_v not_o be_v assure_v of_o eternal_a life_n and_o this_o indeed_o be_v the_o state_n of_o all_o the_o heathen_a of_o the_o world_n outward_o and_o of_o many_o other_o beside_o so_o one_o the_o other_o side_n he_o that_o know_v believe_v &_o obey_v in_o some_o acceptable_a measure_n the_o reveal_v will_n of_o god_n for_o by_o know_v god_n we_o do_v according_a to_o god_n &_o his_o word_n understand_v belief_n and_o obedience_n can_v not_o choose_v but_o in_o those_o fruit_n of_o his_o faith_n know_v and_o be_v well_o assure_v that_o he_o be_v one_o put_v a_o part_n to_o be_v a_o plentiful_a partaker_n of_o all_o god_n grace_n concern_v this_o life_n and_o that_o which_o be_v to_o come_v and_o this_o be_v that_o christ_n mean_v when_o he_o say_v john_n 17._o this_o be_v life_n eternal_a to_o know_v thou_o to_o be_v the_o only_a true_a god_n and_o he_o who_o thou_o have_v send_v jesus_n christ_n but_o the_o faithful_a though_o they_o know_v not_o or_o be_v yet_o â—â—â—s_v latter_a of_o special_a use_n for_o comfort_n whereof_o though_o so_o many_o stand_v not_o in_o need_n as_o of_o instruction_n because_o there_o be_v more_o ignorant_a and_o careless_a
