saint_n be_v to_o press_v on_o towards_o perfection_n r._n g._n it_o be_v grant_v the_o duty_n of_o all_o to_o press_v forward_o to_o what_o be_v before_o not_o cease_v or_o give_v over_o till_o perfection_n come_v but_o still_o while_o in_o this_o life_n there_o remain_v imperfection_n in_o those_o who_o have_v attain_v high_a and_o that_o of_o full_a perfection_n be_v to_o be_v look_v for_o hereafter_o a_o state_n yet_o to_o come_v e._n b._n the_o scripture_n speak_v in_o many_o place_n of_o some_o that_o be_v perfect_a while_o in_o this_o life_n and_o this_o we_o be_v to_o press_v after_o p._n t._n there_o be_v a_o twofold_a perfection_n first_o in_o point_n of_o freedom_n from_o sin_n second_o in_o point_n of_o spiritual_a attainment_n the_o former_a be_v such_o a_o state_n of_o freedom_n and_o deliverance_n from_o sin_n that_o there_o remain_v not_o so_o much_o as_o the_o indwelling_n of_o any_o sin_n in_o we_o not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o thought_n motion_n or_o the_o least_o inclination_n to_o the_o least_o sin_n the_o latter_a be_v such_o a_o state_n when_o the_o soul_n be_v so_o fill_v with_o the_o light_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n shine_v in_o upon_o it_o that_o we_o can_v say_v we_o want_v yea_o that_o we_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o receive_v or_o desire_v more_o and_o we_o deny_v either_o of_o these_o a_o state_n attainable_a in_o this_o life_n e._n b._n i_o do_v not_o say_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o perfection_n in_o this_o life_n which_o admit_v of_o no_o addition_n p._n t._n then_o possible_o the_o difference_n may_v not_o be_v so_o great_a between_o you_o as_o it_o be_v think_v to_o be_v and_o indeed_o this_o grant_n with_o what_o be_v yield_v in_o the_o former_a discourse_n of_o sin_n dwell_v in_o we_o may_v have_v end_v the_o difference_n and_o bring_v over_o both_o part_n to_o a_o join_a issue_n but_o that_o he_o be_v not_o faithful_a to_o his_o own_o confession_n sometime_o grant_v and_o at_o another_o time_n fall_v off_o again_o and_o go_v about_o to_o prove_v the_o contrary_a to_o his_o own_o grant_n which_o he_o do_v most_o of_o all_o in_o this_o business_n e._n b._n it_o be_v not_o a_o thing_n impossible_a to_o attain_v perfection_n in_o this_o life_n yea_o there_o have_v be_v some_o who_o have_v attain_v it_o p._n t._n we_o do_v not_o question_v concern_v the_o power_n of_o god_n whether_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o he_o to_o who_o nothing_o be_v impossible_a to_o work_v such_o a_o work_n in_o we_o and_o for_o we_o even_o here_o and_o in_o this_o life_n but_o whither_o according_a to_o god_n ordinary_a way_n of_o dispensation_n it_o be_v a_o state_n that_o ever_o have_v be_v or_o shall_v be_v actual_o attain_v and_o come_v up_o to_o while_o we_o abide_v in_o these_o house_n of_o clay_n this_o i_o suppose_v be_v the_o question_n between_o we_o and_o be_v that_o which_o we_o deny_v e._n b._n there_o have_v be_v those_o that_o be_v perfect_a we_o speak_v wisdom_n among_o those_o that_o a_o low_a and_o a_o high_a form_n in_o christ_n the_o young_a man_n high_a than_o the_o child_n and_o the_o father_n high_a than_o the_o young_a man_n and_o yet_o not_o come_v up_o to_o the_o high_a for_o they_o be_v grow_v man_n still_o press_v forward_o to_o what_o be_v before_o and_o the_o same_o who_o be_v call_v father_n in_o this_o epistle_n of_o john_n be_v by_o the_o apostle_n paul_n call_v perfect_a in_o the_o two_o text_n former_o mention_v that_o be_v father_n in_o christ_n or_o man_n of_o high_a attainment_n and_o of_o a_o great_a growth_n both_o in_o knowledge_n and_o in_o grace_n than_o babe_n in_o christ_n these_o be_v say_v to_o be_v perfect_a in_o comparison_n of_o other_o who_o be_v low_a and_o inferior_a to_o they_o yet_o be_v not_o these_o come_v up_o to_o the_o high_a for_o the_o apostle_n who_o be_v one_o of_o these_o perfect_a man_n acknowledge_v himself_o in_o the_o same_o chap._n not_o to_o have_v already_o attain_v or_o to_o be_v already_o perfect_a but_o he_o reach_v forth_o and_o press_v forward_o to_o what_o be_v before_o and_o yet_o far_o we_o grant_v perfection_n in_o every_o saint_n even_o in_o this_o life_n every_o degree_n of_o true_a and_o spiritual_a light_n every_o manifestation_n of_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a glory_n in_o the_o saint_n be_v perfection_n in_o its_o own_o nature_n but_o the_o high_a hereof_o be_v no_o more_o
