say_v you_o take_v in_o these_o principle_n which_o be_v now_o collect_v out_o of_o their_o book_n into_o pamphlet_n and_o expose_v to_o the_o view_n of_o every_o body_n as_o also_o those_o very_a many_o other_o which_o be_v to_o be_v see_v in_o the_o jesuit_n moral_n you_o will_v say_v that_o shall_v we_o rake_v hell_n for_o doctrine_n to_o make_v man_n devil_n there_o can_v none_o be_v find_v more_o effectual_a for_o the_o purpose_n than_o those_o wherewith_o we_o be_v furnish_v by_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n and_o so_o much_o shall_v suffice_v to_o be_v speak_v to_o the_o first_o so_o dreadful_a and_o terrible_a as_o to_o equalise_v those_o of_o hell_n except_o only_o in_o the_o duration_n of_o they_o and_o how_o long_o each_o particular_a person_n may_v lie_v there_o before_o he_o be_v release_v whether_o score_n or_o hundred_o of_o year_n as_o also_o what_o degree_n of_o torment_n shall_v be_v allot_v to_o he_o be_v the_o great_a uncertainty_n so_o no_o man_n can_v have_v any_o rational_a assurance_n let_v he_o lead_v never_o so_o strict_o holy_a a_o life_n of_o escape_v this_o place_n of_o torment_n no_o nor_o the_o least_o hope_n neither_o from_o such_o a_o life_n if_o it_o be_v short_a of_o absolute_a perfection_n as_o who_o be_v not_o and_o as_o for_o the_o efficacy_n of_o penance_n and_o indulgence_n it_o be_v impossible_a for_o any_o one_o who_o ever_o think_v serious_o about_o the_o concern_v of_o his_o soul_n and_o understand_v any_o thing_n of_o religion_n at_o least_o not_o to_o be_v full_a of_o diffidence_n what_o it_o may_v amount_v to_o those_o be_v such_o monstrous_a cheat_n the_o former_a for_o the_o most_o part_n of_o they_o and_o the_o latter_a all_o of_o they_o that_o such_o as_o be_v not_o much_o short_a of_o brute_n for_o folly_n or_o of_o devil_n for_o wickedness_n can_v never_o be_v so_o blind_v as_o to_o promise_v to_o themselves_o the_o least_o benefit_n or_o advantage_n from_o they_o and_o much_o less_o that_o which_o be_v promise_v by_o the_o pope_n and_o the_o priest_n again_o what_o a_o slavish_a fear_n and_o dread_a of_o god_n as_o a_o revengeful_a be_v must_v needs_o possess_v the_o mind_n of_o those_o who_o have_v imbibe_v the_o church_n of_o rome_n doctrine_n concern_v whip_n and_o scourge_n and_o other_o severe_a penance_n viz._n that_o they_o be_v necessary_a not_o only_o for_o mortification_n but_o likewise_o for_o satisfaction_n in_o the_o popish_a sense_n of_o that_o word_n but_o what_o a_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n be_v they_o under_o then_o from_o dread_a of_o god_n vengeance_n in_o tongue_n can_v express_v the_o devilishness_n of_o such_o practice_n next_o for_o the_o passion_n of_o shame_n the_o necessity_n of_o all_o people_n of_o both_o sex_n confess_v to_o the_o priest_n which_o be_v enjoin_v by_o the_o council_n of_o trent_n to_o be_v do_v once_o a_o year_n at_o least_o â—_o and_o that_o of_o all_o their_o actual_a sin_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o also_o of_o all_o their_o purpose_n and_o desire_n to_o commit_v they_o nay_o and_o inclination_n too_o what_o violence_n be_v hereby_o do_v to_o the_o modesty_n of_o all_o such_o as_o have_v not_o arrive_v to_o the_o height_n of_o impudence_n this_o be_v to_o use_v the_o word_n of_o the_o learned_a doctor_n more_n as_o if_o all_o the_o modest_a maid_n and_o grave_a matron_n in_o the_o parish_n shall_v strip_v themselves_o stark_o naked_a 78._o and_o in_o that_o manner_n humble_v themselves_o before_o their_o priest_n once_o a_o year_n which_o will_v look_v like_o a_o piece_n of_o unsupportable_a tyranny_n and_o yet_o as_o he_o proceed_v this_o extort_a confession_n upon_o pain_n of_o damnation_n not_o to_o conceal_v any_o thing_n be_v not_o the_o strip_v of_o a_o man_n to_o his_o naked_a body_n but_o the_o strip_v he_o of_o his_o body_n that_o they_o may_v see_v his_o naked_a heart_n and_o so_o by_o the_o force_n of_o this_o superstition_n break_v into_o those_o secret_n which_o it_o be_v only_o the_o due_a privilege_n of_o god_n almighty_a to_o be_v acquaint_v with_o etc._n etc._n and_o last_o what_o anxiety_n and_o solicitude_n must_v those_o papist_n mind_n need_v be_v torment_v with_o who_o be_v at_o all_o concern_v about_o their_o eternal_a state_n by_o reason_n of_o these_o follow_a doctrine_n viz._n that_o of_o the_o dependence_n of_o the_o efficacy_n of_o stepmother_n rob_v her_o child_n we_o live_v in_o a_o church_n which_o lay_v before_o we_o the_o scripture_n argument_n for_o our_o confirmation_n in_o the_o christian_a faith_n which_o oblige_v we_o to_o receive_v the_o faith_n of_o christ_n upon_o the_o selfsame_a ground_n and_o motive_n that_o be_v propose_v by_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o upon_o no_o other_o we_o live_v in_o a_o church_n which_o not_o only_o give_v we_o free_a leave_n but_o likewise_o enjoin_v we_o to_o read_v the_o holy_a scripture_n and_o deprive_v we_o of_o no_o part_n of_o they_o we_o live_v in_o a_o church_n which_o require_v we_o to_o receive_v nothing_o as_o a_o article_n of_o faith_n upon_o her_o bare_a authority_n that_o assume_v nothing_o of_o infallibility_n to_o herself_o but_o free_o by_o the_o alone_a mediation_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ._n we_o live_v in_o a_o church_n which_o renounce_v all_o merit_n of_o good_a work_n and_o teach_v we_o to_o expect_v salvation_n only_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o through_o his_o righteousness_n but_o give_v not_o the_o least_o countenance_n to_o licentious_a practice_n or_o remissness_n in_o good_a work_n and_o teach_v the_o absolute_a necessity_n of_o purge_v ourselves_o by_o the_o assistance_n of_o the_o divine_a grace_n from_o all_o filthiness_n both_o of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n in_o order_n to_o our_o wherein_o we_o want_v no_o necessary_a help_n for_o the_o building_n we_o up_o in_o our_o most_o holy_a faith_n or_o our_o have_v the_o design_n of_o our_o saviour_n religion_n happy_o effect_v in_o we_o namely_o the_o reformation_n of_o our_o life_n and_o our_o be_v renew_a after_o the_o image_n of_o god_n which_o consist_v in_o righteousness_n and_o true_a holiness_n o_o that_o at_o length_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n as_o about_o procure_v they_o by_o warrantable_a and_o lawful_a mean_n the_o true_a christian_a make_v as_o much_o conscience_n of_o lust_a after_o a_o woman_n than_o foolish_a that_o they_o will_v not_o be_v prevail_v with_o to_o accept_v of_o deliverance_n from_o the_o burdensome_a service_n of_o moses_n his_o law_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o fond_a of_o that_o servile_a dispensation_n they_o be_v under_o as_o to_o refuse_v to_o be_v release_v from_o it_o whenas_o the_o abolish_n thereof_o be_v evidence_v in_o as_o full_a and_o convince_a a_o manner_n as_o its_o divine_a authority_n before_o be_v nay_o when_o that_o of_o the_o gospel_n set_v up_o in_o the_o room_n of_o it_o be_v demonstrate_v in_o a_o far_o more_o glorious_a manner_n to_o have_v far_o great_a evidence_n of_o his_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n than_o they_o at_o that_o time_n be_v in_o a_o possibility_n of_o have_v and_o if_o our_o saviour_n do_v accuse_v those_o of_o despise_v both_o himself_o and_o his_o father_n that_o send_v he_o who_o will_v not_o be_v persuade_v by_o his_o mighty_a work_n to_o believe_v in_o he_o while_o he_o be_v on_o earth_n what_o a_o high_a affront_n then_o do_v those_o put_v upon_o both_o who_o will_v not_o give_v up_o themselves_o to_o be_v rule_v by_o he_o and_o quit_v the_o service_n of_o satan_n for_o his_o service_n which_o be_v the_o same_o thing_n with_o not_o believe_v in_o he_o now_o he_o be_v in_o heaven_n and_o in_o all_o his_o glory_n this_o he_o must_v needs_o take_v far_o more_o unkind_o and_o heinous_o at_o our_o hand_n and_o be_v we_o assure_v for_o nothing_o be_v more_o evident_a that_o as_o he_o be_v a_o most_o unreasonable_a creature_n who_o after_o such_o marvellous_a evidence_n of_o jesus_n his_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o now_o sit_v down_o on_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o the_o majesty_n on_o high_a will_v not_o give_v credit_n to_o these_o doctrine_n so_o he_o be_v much_o more_o unreasonable_a who_o do_v give_v credit_n to_o they_o and_o yet_o behave_v himself_o as_o if_o he_o believe_v no_o such_o matter_n o_o that_o therefore_o we_o will_v those_o of_o we_o who_o have_v hitherto_o neglect_v to_o do_v it_o before_o it_o be_v too_o late_a and_o without_o far_a delay_n consider_v these_o thing_n and_o show_v ourselves_o man_n and_o then_o we_o shall_v with_o great_a courage_n and_o resolution_n make_v use_n of_o those_o weapon_n which_o the_o captain_n of_o our_o salvation_n have_v put_v into_o our_o hand_n for_o the_o vanquish_a the_o enemy_n of_o our_o soul_n which_o weapon_n be_v not_o carnal_a but_o mighty_a through_o god_n and_o if_o we_o persevere_v in_o so_o do_v then_o shall_v those_o who_o have_v hold_v such_o a_o severe_a hand_n over_o we_o fly_v
