from_o the_o devil_n so_o blaspheme_v the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n if_o there_o be_v such_o a_o unpardonable_a sin_n to_o be_v commit_v sure_o these_o be_v under_o the_o guilt_n of_o it_o nor_o can_v i_o see_v any_o thing_n can_v possible_o free_v they_o from_o the_o dreadful_a consequence_n of_o it_o but_o a_o timely_a repentance_n remember_v their_o first_o profess_a love_n and_o turn_v run_v upon_o and_o as_o in_o other_o cause_n so_o in_o this_o there_o may_v be_v some_o who_o may_v argue_v atheism_n and_o blasphemy_n with_o we_o and_o who_o may_v endeavour_v to_o persuade_v we_o to_o such_o sentiment_n atheistical_a and_o blasphemous_a book_n may_v set_v our_o thought_n on_o work_n but_o these_o can_v have_v no_o great_a causation_n in_o such_o thought_n as_o be_v permanent_a afflictive_a and_o troublesome_a to_o we_o it_o be_v in_o the_o power_n of_o christian_n to_o avoid_v atheistical_a and_o blasphemous_a company_n and_o to_o abstain_v from_o read_v of_o such_o book_n though_o therefore_o man_n of_o the_o world_n may_v be_v tempter_n to_o atheism_n yet_o they_o can_v hardly_o be_v charge_v as_o tempter_n in_o this_o case_n 3._o the_o devil_n who_o you_o know_v the_o scripture_n call_v the_o tempter_n the_o enemy_n the_o envious_a one_o be_v doubtless_o the_o principal_a efficient_a cause_n he_o go_v about_o like_o a_o roar_a lion_n seek_v who_o he_o may_v devour_v and_o he_o have_v many_o art_n and_o wiles_n and_o depth_n and_o method_n which_o he_o use_v to_o destroy_v soul_n with_o among_o which_o this_o be_v one_o to_o make_v impression_n of_o carnal_a desire_n by_o other_o they_o be_v disgu_v as_o contrary_a to_o those_o impression_n which_o the_o holy_a spirit_n of_o god_n have_v make_v upon_o their_o soul_n and_o their_o former_a notion_n apprehension_n and_o belief_n in_o god_n yea_o so_o far_o disgu_v that_o their_o soul_n be_v fright_v at_o the_o sight_n of_o these_o stranger_n come_v to_o their_o house_n and_o be_v amaze_v which_o way_n they_o shall_v ever_o come_v in_o have_v to_o their_o knowledge_n never_o open_v the_o least_o window_n or_o door_n to_o they_o nor_o any_o way_n invite_v they_o so_o much_o as_o for_o a_o hour_n or_o a_o moment_n their_o soul_n loath_a and_o abhorthem_fw-mi and_o yet_o they_o revive_v upon_o they_o temptation_n of_o this_o nature_n thus_o circumstance_v can_v be_v from_o no_o action_n or_o make_v some_o omission_n by_o the_o do_n or_o the_o omit_v of_o which_o he_o die_v but_o he_o never_o design_v never_o intend_v it_o but_o possible_o hope_v for_o a_o quite_o contrary_a effect_n of_o such_o action_n or_o omission_n such_o a_o one_o may_v be_v say_v to_o have_v kill_v himself_o but_o not_o to_o have_v murder_v himself_o nay_o although_o a_o person_n have_v no_o such_o intention_n contrary_a but_o by_o his_o mistake_n what_o he_o design_v for_o good_a to_o himself_o issue_v in_o such_o a_o effect_n yet_o he_o may_v be_v no_o self-murtherer_n because_o not_o under_o the_o perfect_a guidance_n of_o his_o reason_n suppose_v a_o child_n or_o a_o fool_n and_o natural_a idiot_n which_o neither_o of_o they_o be_v guide_v by_o their_o reason_n shall_v do_v such_o act_n i_o think_v they_o oughe_v not_o to_o be_v conclude_v murderer_n the_o case_n be_v the_o same_o of_o frenetick_a and_o distract_v person_n suppose_v in_o a_o violent_a fever_n or_o a_o frenzy_n cast_v thyself_o down_o yet_o you_o shall_v observe_v these_o temptation_n most_o fall_v upon_o man_n of_o loose_a life_n and_o conversation_n at_o least_o do_v most_o ordinary_o prevail_v against_o these_o terror_n and_o pang_n of_o conscience_n arise_v from_o the_o soul_n reflection_n upon_o its_o gild_n in_o respect_n of_o sin_n thus_o the_o scripture_n tell_v we_o judas_n hang_v himself_o to_o this_o desperate_a issue_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o ordinary_a for_o sin_n of_o a_o more_o minute_n nature_n and_o such_o as_o the_o best_a of_o man_n commit_v to_o be_v follow_v with_o such_o as_o well_o as_o small_a and_o the_o promise_n extend_v to_o all_o sin_n and_o blasphemy_n to_o scarlet_a and_o crimson_a sin_n yet_o we_o shall_v find_v it_o a_o hard_a thing_n to_o be_v believe_v in_o christ_n for_o the_o remission_n of_o sin_n of_o so_o high_a a_o tincture_n beside_o that_o course_n of_o sin_n of_o this_o nature_n have_v a_o very_a ill_a influence_n upon_o the_o heart_n to_o
