why_o do_v thou_o command_v other_o to_o forsake_v adultery_n and_o thou_o thyself_o be_v defile_v therewith_o why_o do_v thou_o banish_v idolatry_n in_o another_o and_o be_v thyself_o pollute_v with_o worship_v of_o image_n and_o in_o conclusion_n why_o do_v thou_o glory_n amongst_o man_n in_o that_o thou_o have_v receive_v the_o law_n at_o god_n hand_n and_o in_o transgress_v the_o fame_n do_v dishonour_v god_n for_o in_o that_o thou_o seek_v praise_n and_o honour_n of_o man_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o law_n thou_o be_v become_v a_o vessel_n of_o much_o dishonour_n to_o god_n which_o shall_v by_o thou_o only_o have_v all_o the_o honour_n and_o glory_n and_o although_o no_o man_n iniquity_n can_v in_o deed_n dishonour_n god_n yet_o thou_o do_v as_o much_o as_o in_o thou_o lie_v to_o dishonour_v he_o of_o the_o like_a sort_n of_o man_n 36._o the_o holy_a prophet_n héertofore_o have_v speak_v as_o it_o be_v write_v in_o isaiah_n and_o ezechiel_n the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n say_v they_o be_v slander_v by_o you_o and_o have_v through_o your_o fault_n a_o evil_a report_n among_o the_o nation_n that_o be_v incline_v to_o idolatry_n in_o as_o much_o as_o you_o proud_o glory_n in_o the_o only_a title_n of_o the_o law_n and_o yet_o among_o yourselves_o do_v live_v most_o sinful_o and_o wretched_o against_o the_o law_n neither_o be_v it_o sufficient_a for_o thou_o to_o be_v a_o jew_n bear_v or_o to_o be_v of_o the_o jew_n religion_n for_o than_o shall_v circumcision_n only_o profit_v thou_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o thou_o perform_v the_o thing_n for_o who_o cause_n circumcision_n be_v first_o give_v and_o also_o accomplish_v such_o thing_n in_o thy_o life_n which_o thou_o profess_v in_o thy_o ceremony_n otherwise_o if_o thou_o transgress_v the_o law_n it_o shall_v no_o more_o profit_v thou_o to_o be_v circumcise_a before_o the_o face_n of_o the_o just_a god_n than_o though_o thou_o be_v never_o circumcise_a wherefore_o like_v as_o circumcision_n be_v turn_v to_o uncircumcision_n unless_o thou_o also_o perform_v the_o other_o deed_n of_o the_o law_n which_o appertain_v to_o good_a manner_n and_o upright_o conversation_n even_o so_o uncircumcision_n shall_v not_o hurt_v the_o gentile_a but_o shall_v be_v accept_v for_o circumcision_n if_o be_v leave_v and_o forsake_v the_o ceremony_n of_o the_o law_n and_o perform_v those_o take_v no_o man_n for_o a_o jew_n except_o he_o perform_v in_o deed_n the_o profession_n of_o a_o jew_n and_o he_o name_v not_o i_o a_o jew_n 8._o that_o have_v the_o manifest_a note_n &_o mark_v of_o the_o jew_n neither_o be_v he_o circumcise_a that_o have_v his_o privy_a skin_n cut_v but_o he_o be_v a_o very_a jew_n that_o be_v right_o a_o jew_n 2._o and_o circumcise_v in_o his_o heart_n which_o privy_a member_n circumcise_v which_o also_o do_v not_o rejoice_v in_o the_o mark_n and_o note_n make_v with_o a_o stone_n as_o the_o circumcision_n of_o the_o jew_n be_v but_o rejoice_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o mind_n of_o the_o law_n for_o he_o that_o have_v only_o his_o flesh_n circumcise_a may_v go_v for_o a_o jew_n amongst_o man_n but_o he_o worthy_o god_n take_v for_o a_o jew_n who_o heart_n be_v purge_v and_o cleanse_v from_o the_o filth_n of_o vice_n and_o sin_n and_o be_v press_v and_o ready_a to_o the_o love_n of_o jesus_n christ_n of_o who_o only_o to_o be_v allow_v be_v the_o most_o high_a and_o chief_a felicity_n the_o three_o chapter_n ¶_o paul_n show_v what_o preferment_n the_o jew_n have_v and_o that_o both_o the_o jew_n and_o gentile_n be_v under_o sin_n and_o be_v only_o justify_v by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n but_o here_o will_v some_o man_n say_v see_v the_o sum_n of_o the_o law_n depend_v upon_o godliness_n and_o innocence_n of_o life_n and_o upon_o the_o only_a faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n what_o pre-eminence_n then_o have_v the_o jew_n more_o than_o the_o gentile_a or_o what_o prevail_v it_o the_o jew_n to_o be_v circumcise_v see_v that_o godliness_n and_o faith_n make_v the_o uncircumcised_a as_o good_a with_o god_n as_o the_o circumcise_a â—ea_o and_o that_o also_o more_o be_v see_v the_o circumcision_n of_o a_o jew_n that_o offend_v make_v his_o cause_n worse_o yes_o very_o the_o jew_n have_v great_a pre-eminence_n first_o he_o may_v rejoice_v in_o that_o he_o be_v by_o nature_n call_v a_o jew_n to_o who_o proper_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v commit_v timo._n or_o else_o because_o that_o only_a the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n be_v catch_v to_o that_o nation_n either_o for_o this_o cause_n that_o god_n vouchsafe_v to_o be_v their_o instructor_n and_o teacher_n himself_o sure_o it_o be_v a_o honourable_a thing_n to_o be_v of_o that_o nation_n which_o god_n so_o high_o esteem_v and_o further_o the_o jew_n have_v pre-eminence_n because_o the_o same_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o say_a instructor_n goodness_n may_v be_v the_o ready_a to_o the_o true_a faith_n in_o jesus_n christ_n for_o as_o he_o be_v more_o near_o
flesh_n why_o or_o from_o this_o body_n of_o death_n which_o be_v thus_o subject_v to_o so_o many_o misery_n to_o so_o many_o provocation_n enticement_n to_o naughtiness_n encumber_v with_o so_o many_o vice_n and_o well_o nigh_o confound_v with_o these_o daily_a conflict_n that_o always_o hail_v i_o pull_v i_o down_o and_o draw_v i_o forcible_o to_o destruction_n and_o death_n think_v not_o you_o that_o he_o have_v just_a cause_n thus_o to_o bewail_v his_o state_n and_o to_o cry_v out_o that_o in_o this_o manner_n be_v daily_o besiege_v assault_v and_o trouble_v with_o so_o many_o mischief_n cruel_a and_o deadly_a adversary_n but_o the_o remedy_n hereof_o consider_v and_o the_o most_o happy_a mean_n remember_v for_o our_o deliverance_n rejoice_v oh_o what_o cause_n of_o great_a thankfulness_n by_o bind_a duty_n and_o all_o humbleness_n have_v we_o to_o give_v unto_o our_o god_n which_o merciful_o have_v set_v we_o in_o most_o happy_a state_n and_o safety_n and_o deliver_v we_o from_o these_o noisome_a misery_n even_o for_o the_o only_a love_n sake_n he_o bear_v unto_o we_o not_o through_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n or_o circumcision_n but_o by_o his_o only_a and_o most_o dear_a son_n our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n the_o which_o if_o by_o he_o it_o have_v not_o so_o be_v end_v and_o do_v i_o myself_o be_v but_o one_o man_n among_o other_o shall_v have_v be_v a_o runner_n but_o in_o a_o unconstant_a race_n and_o draw_v in_o such_o sort_n hither_o and_o thither_o with_o the_o impious_a cord_n of_o inconstancy_n &_o vanity_n that_o happy_o now_o and_o then_o i_o shall_v with_o joyfulness_n have_v serve_v the_o law_n of_o my_o god_n with_o my_o spirit_n in_o desire_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v honest_a and_o godly_a but_o with_o my_o faulty_a flesh_n the_o law_n of_o sin_n in_o covet_v corrupt_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v dishonest_a and_o by_o the_o deadly_a force_n thereof_o my_o poor_a spirit_n always_o prevail_v against_o and_o turmoil_v with_o misery_n the_o eight_o chapter_n the_o law_n of_o the_o spirit_n give_v life_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n make_v we_o god_n child_n and_o heir_n with_o christ_n the_o abundant_a love_n of_o god_n can_v not_o be_v separate_v but_o now_o although_o there_o be_v yet_o many_o blot_n and_o stumble_a block_n of_o the_o old_a bondage_n still_o remain_v among_o christian_a man_n there_o be_v yet_o no_o christ_n which_o be_v heavenly_a spiritual_a and_o the_o author_n of_o life_n be_v also_o strong_a and_o full_a of_o might_n have_v free_o deliver_v they_o all_o from_o the_o bondage_n and_o law_n of_o sin_n 4._o from_o death_n the_o familiar_a companion_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o just_a reward_n of_o the_o same_o which_o thing_n because_o the_o law_n of_o moses_n be_v carnal_a and_o in_o consideration_n thereof_o very_o weak_a of_o itself_o 7._o god_n do_v foresee_v and_o provide_v for_o the_o salvation_n of_o man_n after_o a_o other_o sort_n and_o fashion_n and_o like_v as_o i_o the_o one_o gross_a and_o carnal_a law_n and_o the_o other_o holy_a and_o spiritual_a the_o first_o of_o these_o two_o law_n have_v moses_n for_o his_o author_n and_o beginner_n which_o as_o it_o be_v not_o perpetual_a even_o so_o it_o be_v not_o of_o virtue_n to_o give_v any_o salvation_n to_o man_n the_o second_o law_n be_v spiritual_a strange_a full_a of_o efficacy_n and_o immortal_a which_o christ_n himself_o have_v consummate_v and_o fulfil_v to_o all_o such_o as_o believe_v in_o he_o howbeit_o it_o be_v very_o expedient_a that_o one_o flesh_n shall_v abolish_v and_o put_v away_o a_o thencefoorthe_o embrace_v the_o second_o part_n of_o the_o law_n which_o be_v heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a and_o that_o minister_v not_o ire_n and_o threaten_n as_o do_v the_o old_a part_n of_o the_o law_n but_o very_o righteousness_n to_o all_o such_o as_o do_v not_o lead_v their_o life_n after_o the_o letter_n and_o ceremony_n of_o the_o jew_n but_o after_o the_o spirit_n and_o inward_a mind_n of_o the_o law_n as_o man_n regenerate_v and_o new_a bear_v again_o in_o jesus_n christ_n the_o jew_n in_o their_o ceremony_n have_v as_o it_o be_v but_o the_o dead_a picture_n and_o image_n of_o righteousness_n but_o we_o have_v the_o verâ—â—â—e_n live_a and_o quick_a righteousness_n itself_o and_o the_o very_o perfect_v rule_n of_o all_o godliness_n which_o christ_n by_o his_o spirit_n have_v wrought_v in_o we_o wherefore_o the_o true_a change_n of_o our_o state_n condition_n and_o fashion_n of_o religion_n declare_v the_o manner_n of_o a_o new_a life_n in_o we_o and_o we_o perceive_v very_o evident_o that_o all_o such_o of_o the_o jew_n which_o still_o continue_v in_o the_o rottenness_n of_o their_o old_a form_n of_o religion_n 55._o and_o in_o the_o flesh_n or_o grossness_n of_o the_o law_n be_v delight_v and_o please_v with_o all_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v gross_a carnal_a and_o fleshly_a contrariwise_o all_o such_o as_o be_v engraft_v into_o christ_n be_v become_v spiritual_a and_o precise_a in_o righteousness_n utter_o banish_v from_o they_o all_o such_o old_a thing_n as_o appertain_v to_o the_o flesh_n and_o be_v constant_o rapt_v in_o their_o mind_n to_o all_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v spiritual_a for_o true_o even_o such_o as_o the_o state_n condition_n and_o nature_n of_o the_o man_n be_v such_o be_v his_o desire_n and_o common_a inclination_n to_o work_v as_o touch_v our_o flesh_n we_o be_v all_o mortal_a but_o christ_n that_o be_v immortal_a have_v now_o call_v we_o to_o a_o life_n in_o he_o which_o be_v immortal_a again_o the_o carnal_a law_n of_o the_o jew_n be_v always_o against_o christ_n and_o call_v we_o from_o he_o which_o for_o the_o same_o cause_n bring_v death_n with_o it_o in_o as_o much_o as_o it_o contend_v and_o strive_v against_o he_o which_o be_v the_o only_a author_n of_o life_n by_o reason_n whereof_o the_o jew_n be_v strike_v with_o the_o zeal_n and_o love_n of_o the_o same_o law_n do_v put_v to_o death_n the_o author_n of_o their_o life_n and_o justification_n but_o contrariwise_o they_o that_o set_v the_o grossness_n of_o the_o law_n at_o naught_o and_o follow_v the_o spirit_n do_v find_v most_o plenteous_a life_n in_o christ_n jesus_n neither_o do_v they_o argue_v upon_o the_o barren_a and_o hungry_a observance_n of_o the_o law_n but_o have_v in_o their_o heart_n the_o pleasant_a savour_n and_o taste_v of_o charity_n god._n be_v well_o stay_v in_o themselves_o live_v joyful_o
5._o their_o heart_n be_v vain_a but_o how_o be_v it_o vain_a because_o they_o lack_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o spirit_n if_o a_o man_n have_v he_o have_v life_n and_o light_n if_o he_o have_v he_o not_o there_o be_v darkness_n and_o death_n and_o what_o be_v more_o frivolous_a or_o vain_a than_o these_o thing_n wherefore_o god_n be_v in_o all_o point_v the_o saâ—â—â—â—_n that_o hâ—_z command_v for_o he_o be_v the_o high_a god_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v love_v above_o all_o thing_n he_o command_v love_n 4._o which_o love_n he_o be_v according_a to_o this_o god_n be_v love_n he_o
