a_o great_a measure_n even_o in_o those_o that_o have_v believe_v through_o grace_n they_o must_v cleanse_v themselves_o also_o they_o have_v not_o already_o attain_v neither_o be_v they_o also_o independent_a as_o all_o his_o other_o excellency_n be_v can_v as_o i_o conceive_v consist_v in_o relation_n but_o must_v be_v a_o absolute_a and_o positive_a thing_n which_o i_o conceive_v to_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o the_o purity_n of_o the_o divine_a nature_n but_o now_o holiness_n in_o the_o creature_n be_v a_o dependent_a excellency_n have_v its_o principle_n from_o another_o and_o its_o pattern_n in_o another_o that_o be_v in_o god_n and_o in_o the_o law_n it_o must_v consist_v in_o conformity_n unto_o another_o as_o the_o truth_n and_o goodness_n of_o the_o creature_n do_v so_o that_o the_o holiness_n of_o the_o creature_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o conformity_n of_o the_o creature_n unto_o the_o purity_n of_o god_n manifest_v in_o his_o law_n i_o do_v not_o say_v the_o holiness_n of_o god_n as_o in_o himself_o but_o the_o holiness_n of_o god_n as_o in_o the_o law_n in_o conformity_n whereto_o the_o holiness_n of_o the_o creature_n do_v consist_v before_o the_o fall_n the_o holiness_n require_v be_v only_o positive_a consist_v in_o a_o conformity_n to_o the_o duty_n command_v but_o since_o sin_v there_o must_v be_v a_o cleanse_n from_o the_o sin_n forbid_v it_o be_v before_o only_o a_o conformity_n to_o the_o precept_n but_o since_o it_o be_v a_o conformity_n to_o the_o holiness_n of_o god_n in_o the_o prohibition_n also_o so_o that_o as_o in_o the_o justification_n of_o a_o sinner_n there_o be_v more_o require_v than_o be_v require_v to_o justify_v the_o angel_n or_o adam_n in_o innocency_n not_o only_o a_o do_v the_o duty_n but_o a_o suffer_v the_o curse_n so_o in_o the_o sanctification_n of_o a_o sinner_n also_o there_o be_v more_o require_v to_o make_v we_o holy_a then_o there_o be_v to_o make_v adam_n holy_a it_o be_v not_o now_o bare_o a_o creation_n of_o the_o new_a man_n but_o also_o a_o mortification_n of_o the_o old_a and_o a_o destroy_n of_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n not_o only_a sanctification_n and_o dedication_n to_o what_o be_v holy_a but_o a_o purification_n and_o separation_n from_o what_o be_v unclean_a therefore_o here_o the_o apostle_n set_v down_o both_o part_n of_o holiness_n purification_n and_o dedication_n a_o cleanse_n of_o a_o man_n self_n from_o all_o filthiness_n and_o then_o a_o perfect_a holiness_n in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n second_o the_o perfection_n of_o holiness_n therefore_o consist_v in_o three_o thing_n 1._o perfectio_fw-la gradus_fw-la when_o corruption_n be_v perfect_o cleanse_v and_o all_o filthiness_n and_o in_o all_o degree_n and_o in_o all_o faculty_n both_o of_o the_o flesh_n and_o of_o the_o spirit_n 2._o perfectio_fw-la essentin_n when_o grace_n have_v attain_v its_o full_a pitch_n unto_o which_o it_o be_v appoint_v the_o measure_n of_o the_o age_n of_o the_o stature_n of_o christ_n fullness_n to_o all_o might_n in_o every_o grace_n
