he_o breathe_v on_o they_o say_v receive_v the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o afterward_o also_o they_o receive_v but_o the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o themselves_o express_v it_o say_v also_o by_o his_o eternal_a spirit_n unto_o he_o that_o be_v able_a to_o save_v he_o and_o be_v hear_v in_o all_o he_o fear_v or_o pray_v so_o do_v he_o now_o by_o the_o same_o spirit_n in_o the_o heart_n or_o flesh_n of_o his_o member_n which_o be_v here_o on_o earth_n yet_o so_o as_o all_o those_o member_n give_v up_o their_o spirit_n to_o their_o head_n as_o the_o elder_n also_o in_o the_o revelation_n present_v their_o vial_n full_a of_o prayer_n of_o saint_n to_o the_o lamb_n and_o he_o as_o the_o great_a angel_n of_o the_o covenant_n mingle_v they_o with_o his_o daily_a incense_n in_o his_o temple_n and_o present_v they_o all_o even_o all_o the_o prayer_n of_o all_o saint_n to_o his_o god_n and_o his_o father_n and_o their_o father_n in_o and_o through_o he_o they_o all_o be_v indeed_o but_o his_o own_o sigh_n and_o groan_n or_o motion_n of_o his_o own_o spirit_n in_o his_o member_n that_o we_o may_v yet_o more_o clear_o understand_v this_o let_v we_o first_o consider_v how_o christ_n pray_v to_o his_o father_n and_o then_o how_o the_o christian_a pray_v unto_o christ_n or_o to_o his_o father_n through_o christ._n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v god_n be_v in_o christ_n reconcile_n the_o world_n to_o himself_o so_o in_o a_o right_a sense_n i_o may_v say_v god_n be_v in_o christ_n pray_v or_o speak_v to_o himself_o even_o as_o our_o soul_n commune_v with_o itself_o or_o as_o a_o man_n commune_v with_o his_o own_o heart_n a_o phrase_n we_o find_v in_o the_o psalm_n or_o other_o place_n of_o scripture_n and_o we_o may_v use_v it_o to_o illustrate_v this._n for_o which_o also_o i_o may_v cite_v that_o notable_a passage_n of_o our_o saviour_n which_o i_o sometime_o look_v upon_o as_o one_o of_o the_o key_n to_o open_v and_o discover_v the_o rich_a but_o hide_v cabinet_n of_o the_o mysterious_a scripture_n where_o he_o do_v so_o plain_o tell_v we_o that_o he_o never_o say_v one_o word_n of_o himself_o and_o yet_o he_o say_v all_o that_o be_v ever_o say_v by_o god_n for_o he_o be_v the_o only_a word_n and_o mouth_n of_o god_n and_o in_o the_o prophet_n isaiah_n he_o tell_v we_o plain_o that_o he_o say_v all_o that_o be_v ever_o speak_v and_o yet_o now_o he_o tell_v we_o that_o he_o never_o speak_v one_o word_n of_o that_o be_v from_o himself_o or_o of_o his_o own_o but_o of_o and_o from_o his_o father_n and_o what_o he_o say_v yea_o and_o as_o he_o speak_v it_o unto_o he_o so_o he_o repeat_v it_o be_v as_o it_o seem_v but_o god_n holy_a echo_n to_o repeat_v those_o word_n and_o only_o those_o his_o father_n speak_v of_o himself_o and_o in_o himself_o and_o to_o himself_o as_o if_o christ_n also_o compare_v with_o god_n be_v such_o a_o infant_n that_o he_o can_v not_o speak_v one_o sentence_n word_n syllable_n or_o letter_n but_o as_o god_n sound_v it_o before_o he_o and_o in_o he_o and_o to_o he_o and_o so_o he_o only_o echo_v back_o some_o little_a part_n it_o may_v be_v as_o the_o latter_a end_n or_o loud_a part_n of_o that_o infinite_a discourse_n the_o father_n have_v and_o have_v to_o he_o from_o all_o eternity_n to_o all_o eternity_n thus_o when_o god_n say_v in_o and_o to_o christ_n my_o son_n give_v i_o thy_o heart_n christ_n then_o as_o it_o be_v ruminate_v or_o repeat_v in_o himself_o what_o the_o father_n say_v he_o echo_v back_o give_v i_o thy_o heart_n and_o so_o it_o sound_v as_o a_o prayer_n to_o bow_v down_o he_o cry_v bow_n down_o to_o seek_v my_o face_n seek_v my_o face_n and_o at_o length_n his_o spirit_n cry_v in_o his_o member_n also_o thy_o face_n i_o will_v seek_v lord_n hide_v not_o thy_o may_v speak_v his_o heart_n out_o to_o a_o child_n or_o other_o person_n who_o will_v never_o learn_v and_o do_v till_o he_o have_v the_o father_n or_o the_o teacher_n spirit_n or_o his_o meaning_n and_o his_o mien_n by_o accent_n gesture_n or_o some_o other_o way_n rather_o than_o by_o word_n only_o impress_v on_o he_o so_o that_o we_o see_v our_o child_n and_o such_o as_o be_v acquaint_v with_o our_o spirit_n can_v discern_v and_o understand_v our_o mind_n by_o beck_n or_o nod_n or_o look_n or_o otherwise_o sometime_o without_o word_n and_o sometime_o direct_o against_o our_o word_n and_o quite_o
and_o clean_o contrary_a to_o our_o word_n as_o when_o we_o say_v o_o well_o do_v perhaps_o they_o know_v we_o mean_v ill_o do_v and_o when_o we_o say_v now_o fall_v or_o go_v do_v so_o or_o so_o they_o understand_v we_o mean_v they_o shall_v not_o fall_v or_o do_v so_o and_o many_o other_o thing_n we_o speak_v by_o way_n of_o tempt_a or_o of_o irony_n or_o otherwise_o direct_o contrary_a to_o our_o word_n it_o be_v thus_o also_o in_o the_o scripture_n where_o oft_o time_n the_o sense_n may_v be_v gather_v by_o accent_n stop_n or_o pause_n with_o the_o sign_n of_o question_n parenthesis_n and_o irony_n with_o many_o other_o thing_n which_o be_v now_o very_o hard_o to_o understand_v especial_o in_o the_o old_a testament_n this_o be_v one_o of_o the_o many_o reason_n why_o we_o can_v pretend_v to_o the_o full_a or_o true_a sense_n and_o meaning_n of_o the_o scripture_n without_o that_o spirit_n which_o do_v make_v they_o and_o interpret_v they_o as_o christ_n please_v to_o give_v out_o through_o all_o the_o several_a age_n of_o his_o church_n which_o yet_o possible_o may_v differ_v as_o the_o sense_n and_o understanding_n of_o a_o infant_n or_o minor_a differ_v much_o from_o that_o of_o a_o man_n a_o wise_a man_n who_o now_o see_v another_o sense_n and_o meaning_n of_o his_o father_n word_n speak_v or_o write_v long_o since_o than_o he_o once_o do_v or_o can_v do_v by_o many_o reading_n and_o this_o differ_a sense_n and_o understanding_n even_o in_o principle_n may_v sometime_o occasion_n or_o cause_n different_a practice_n also_o among_o good_a man_n and_o child_n of_o the_o same_o father_n in_o the_o same_o or_o several_a age_n which_o we_o may_v observe_v from_o the_o difference_n of_o judgement_n and_o practice_n that_o i_o say_v not_o affection_n find_v among_o the_o apostle_n themselves_o and_o the_o most_o primitive_a christian_n about_o the_o good_a will_n of_o god_n to_o the_o gentile_n and_o about_o the_o law_n and_o circumcision_n that_o i_o say_v nothing_o of_o the_o nature_n and_o office_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n or_o of_o christ_n himself_o in_o person_n nature_n office_n the_o manner_n and_o the_o virtue_n of_o his_o death_n and_o resurrection_n with_o the_o form_n of_o his_o government_n and_o kingdom_n with_o his_o come_v again_o and_o judgement_n which_o be_v so_o clear_o write_v in_o the_o old_a testament_n and_o yet_o so_o little_o understand_v by_o they_o or_o we_o either_o even_o to_o this_o day_n and_o as_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n do_v say_v and_o do_v all_o that_o christ_n say_v pray_v work_v so_o also_o do_v the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o member_n so_o that_o every_o one_o of_o they_o may_v true_o say_v i_o can_v speak_v or_o pray_v or_o do_v any_o one_o thing_n please_v to_o god_n or_o myself_o if_o i_o know_v myself_o but_o what_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n my_o head_n and_o father_n also_o as_o my_o spouse_n say_v pray_v do_v in_o i_o i_o do_v nothing_o of_o myself_o and_o i_o say_v nothing_o of_o myself_o but_o what_o my_o father_n spirit_n work_v speak_v in_o i_o what_o and_o how_o he_o say_v in_o i_o i_o say_v and_o what_o he_o do_v i_o do_v my_o father_n work_v hitherto_o and_o i_o work_v but_o my_o father_n work_v what_o i_o work_v and_o this_o take_v i_o off_o from_o solicitous_a care_n what_o to_o say_v or_o do_v as_o well_o as_o what_o to_o eat_v and_o drink_v because_o it_o be_v give_v in_o that_o hour_n by_o our_o father_n spirit_n for_o without_o i_o say_v christ_n you_o can_v do_v nothing_o and_o by_o he_o we_o may_v both_o do_v and_o bear_v revelation_n after_o his_o ascension_n that_o he_o may_v speak_v and_o give_v it_o to_o his_o member_n as_o i_o can_v speak_v immediate_o to_o the_o soul_n or_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n though_o he_o be_v with_o i_o but_o through_o his_o ear_n or_o eye_n or_o somewhat_o of_o his_o outward_a man_n or_o body_n so_o i_o yet_o can_v may_v not_o speak_v to_o god_n but_o through_o his_o outward_a man_n if_o i_o may_v so_o speak_v of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o yet_o i_o speak_v to_o a_o man_n ear_n or_o eye_n or_o outer_a man_n that_o it_o may_v reach_v also_o to_o his_o heart_n and_o soul_n or_o spirit_n and_o may_v affect_v that_o also_o and_o so_o i_o speak_v to_o christ_n also_o as_o the_o outward_a man_n of_o god_n that_o yet_o it_o may_v affect_v his_o heart_n the_o very_a heart_n of_o god_n his_o father_n who_o be_v in_o he_o and_o i_o tell_v he_o that_o i_o do_v no_o so_o worship_v he_o or_o pray_v to_o he_o or_o trust_v in_o he_o as_o a_o man_n only_o or_o main_o for_o i_o be_o forbid_v to_o put_v my_o trust_n in_o any_o man_n or_o in_o the_o son_n of_o man_n himself_o as_o man_n only_o but_o as_o he_o have_v god_n in_o he_o and_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n in_o his_o heart_n yea_o be_v one_o with_o god_n his_o father_n and_o so_o one_o that_o there_o be_v no_o other_o god_n beside_o he_o as_o himself_o often_o speak_v in_o the_o prophet_n where_o he_o also_o call_v
