but_o there_o be_v such_o gloss_n as_o these_o say_v haman_n these_o be_v a_o rebellious_a people_n and_o it_o be_v not_o for_o the_o king_n profit_n to_o suffer_v they_o and_o so_o when_o christ_n himself_o suffer_v he_o be_v not_o a_o friend_n to_o caesar_n but_o a_o enemy_n well_o then_o come_v the_o apostle_n and_o when_o the_o apostle_n come_v what_o a_o guise_n be_v put_v upon_o their_o suffering_n these_o be_v seditious_a and_o thâ—se_a that_o turn_v the_o world_n upside-down_a be_v come_v hither_o and_o do_v not_o you_o find_v in_o scripture_n and_o experience_n that_o it_o be_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n but_o be_v you_o sensible_a of_o your_o unwillingness_n why_o i_o use_v to_o say_v this_o he_o be_v not_o far_o from_o a_o grace_n that_o be_v sensible_a of_o a_o contrary_a evil_n and_o it_o be_v a_o true_a speech_n he_o be_v not_o far_o from_o humility_n that_o be_v sensible_a of_o pride_n he_o be_v not_o far_o from_o faith_n that_o be_v sensible_a of_o unbelief_n so_o he_o be_v not_o far_o from_o be_v willing_a to_o suffer_v for_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n that_o be_v sensible_a of_o his_o own_o unwillingness_n but_o now_o suppose_v that_o for_o the_o present_a you_o be_v very_o unwilling_a to_o suffer_v for_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n you_o may_v know_v this_o that_o willingness_n to_o suffer_v for_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n be_v part_n of_o our_o suffer_a grace_n and_o suffer_v grace_n be_v give_v upon_o suffer_a ground_n unto_o you_o it_o be_v give_v not_o only_o to_o believe_v but_o to_o suffer_v the_o opportunity_n to_o suffer_v be_v the_o apprehend_v but_o this_o one_o thing_n forget_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v behind_o and_o reach_v forth_o to_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v before_o i_o press_v towards_o the_o mark_n mark_v it_o be_v a_o similitude_n take_v from_o those_o that_o run_v in_o a_o race_n say_v he_o i_o do_v as_o those_o that_o run_v in_o a_o race_n they_o stretch_v out_o their_o body_n towards_o the_o price_n so_o do_v i_o and_o say_v he_o as_o it_o be_v with_o those_o that_o run_v in_o a_o race_n they_o do_v not_o go_v backward_o for_o to_o measure_v the_o ground_n that_o they_o have_v go_v over_o but_o before_o and_o so_o will_v you_o be_v perfect_a and_o will_v you_o grow_v let_v your_o eye_n be_v upon_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v before_o again_o if_o you_o will_v grow_v in_o grace_n cut_v off_o all_o those_o superfluity_n that_o grow_v out_o of_o your_o heart_n and_o give_v up_o yourselves_o whole_o to_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o this_o world_n if_o you_o will_v have_v a_o tree_n grow_v you_o slip_v off_o the_o lesser_a sprig_n that_o grow_v out_o of_o the_o side_n they_o will_v hinder_v the_o growth_n you_o will_v say_v so_o say_v the_o apostle_n wherefore_o lay_v aside_o and_o with_o that_o gift_n or_o grace_n you_o shall_v now_o go_v unto_o jesus_n christ_n who_o be_v the_o great_a ordinance_n and_o fetch_v out_o more_o observe_v i_o say_v what_o that_o gift_n and_o grace_n be_v and_o labour_n to_o improve_v it_o more_o and_o more_o i_o will_v say_v no_o more_o in_o this_o but_o if_o you_o will_v grow_v in_o grace_n study_n much_o of_o the_o love_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o these_o two_o be_v put_v together_o by_o the_o apostle_n in_o ephes_n 3._o for_o this_o cause_n say_v he_o i_o bow_v my_o knee_n unto_o the_o father_n of_o god_n mark_v how_o these_o go_v together_o the_o more_o you_o see_v the_o love_n of_o christ_n the_o more_o you_o will_v love_v god_n and_o the_o more_o you_o love_v he_o the_o more_o you_o will_v obey_v he_o and_o the_o more_o abundant_a you_o will_v be_v in_o the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n therefore_o as_o you_o desire_v to_o grow_v study_v the_o free_a love_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n and_o hereby_o you_o will_v be_v able_a to_o grow_v and_o to_o abound_v yet_o more_o and_o more_o and_o that_o you_o may_v do_v it_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o speak_v here_o a_o little_a by_o way_n of_o encouragement_n hereunto_o and_o so_o i_o will_v wind_v up_o all_o belove_a in_o the_o lord_n when_o you_o hear_v of_o god_n blessing_n any_o in_o scripture_n he_o say_v increase_v and_o multiply_v so_o then_o the_o more_o you_o do_v increase_v in_o grace_n the_o more_o your_o gift_n and_o grace_n multiply_v the_o more_o you_o do_v carry_v up_o and_o down_o with_o you_o a_o testimony_n of_o time_n here_o many_o saint_n meet_v together_o and_o in_o poor_a country-town_n possible_o a_o poor_a christian_a may_v travel_v three_o or_o four_o mile_n before_o he_o can_v meet_v with_o one_o that_o may_v refresh_v his_o thought_n here_o you_o have_v the_o opportunity_n which_o you_o have_v not_o in_o other_o place_n communion_n of_o saint_n stand_v in_o the_o court_n of_o the_o house_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o great_a mean_n for_o to_o grow_v in_o grace_n preach_v of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o word_n of_o god_n grace_n be_v a_o special_a and_o great_a mean_n of_o growth_n it_o be_v call_v the_o rain_n of_o plenty_n or_o the_o plentiful_a rain_n it_o be_v a_o true_a speech_n it_o be_v the_o year_n and_o not_o the_o soil_n that_o do_v make_v the_o fruit_n if_o the_o rain_n fall_v seasonable_o and_o the_o sun_n shine_v seasonable_o than_o you_o have_v fruit_n now_o
you_o do_v suffer_v according_a to_o christ_n example_n which_o you_o may_v do_v if_o you_o suffer_v with_o the_o same_o spirit_n and_o disposition_n that_o christ_n do_v &_o suffer_v in_o the_o strength_n of_o christ_n set_v all_o upon_o the_o head_n &_o score_n of_o christ_n five_o if_o you_o will_v so_o order_v and_o manage_v all_o your_o suffering_n as_o that_o they_o may_v turn_v to_o a_o good_a account_n then_o take_v heed_n that_o there_o be_v no_o contradiction_n find_v in_o the_o way_n of_o your_o suffering_n a_o man_n may_v be_v very_o stiff_a and_o stand_v out_o here_o and_o yet_o he_o may_v yield_v there_o say_v the_o apostle_n if_o i_o build_v again_o what_o i_o have_v destroy_v i_o make_v myself_o a_o transgressor_n and_o blessed_n be_v the_o man_n that_o condemn_v not_o himself_o in_o the_o thing_n that_o he_o allow_v it_o be_v possible_a i_o may_v build_v that_o with_o one_o hand_n that_o i_o may_v pull_v down_o with_o another_o possible_o a_o man_n may_v be_v very_o stiff_a and_o stand_v out_o at_o such_o a_o thing_n and_o yet_o he_o may_v yield_v there_o there_o may_v be_v contradiction_n find_v in_o the_o way_n of_o our_o suffering_n and_o let_v i_o
