yet_o it_o be_v worth_a the_o labour_n to_o know_v with_o what_o objection_n they_o do_v enforce_v it_o chap._n xlix_o the_o weak_a objection_n of_o the_o arminian_o against_o irresistibility_n that_o be_v the_o infallible_a certainty_n of_o the_o conversion_n of_o the_o elect_a be_v answer_v i._o these_o sectary_n do_v lay_v the_o chief_a foundation_n of_o their_o cause_n in_o that_o their_o false_a opinion_n and_o already_o confute_v by_o us._n that_o god_n do_v not_o administer_v and_o supply_v the_o mean_n to_o conversion_n and_o faith_n by_o any_o absolute_a and_o precise_a decree_n for_o if_o god_n call_v man_n do_v precise_o and_o absolute_o intend_v the_o conversion_n of_o no_o one_o man_n it_o be_v not_o needful_a that_o the_o conversion_n of_o any_o one_o shall_v precise_o follow_v the_o supply_n of_o those_o mean_n this_o their_o foundation_n see_v it_o have_v be_v overwhelm_v and_o cast_v down_o by_o we_o the_o other_o thing_n which_o they_o will_v build_v upon_o this_o must_v needs_o fall_v ii_o the_o arminian_n conferrer_n at_o the_o hage_n do_v very_o ill_a heap_n together_o many_o thing_n to_o the_o overthrow_v whereof_o there_o be_v need_n of_o no_o great_a contention_n in_o the_o front_n of_o the_o battle_n they_o set_v that_o place_n in_o the_o act_n chapter_n 7.15_o where_o stephen_n do_v lay_v it_o to_o the_o charge_n of_o the_o rebellious_a jew_n that_o they_o have_v always_o resist_v the_o holy-ghost_n whence_o they_o infer_v that_o the_o holy-ghost_n when_o he_o work_v in_o man_n do_v not_o work_v conversion_n unresistible_o iii_o but_o they_o do_v unwise_o prove_v that_o which_o be_v not_o in_o controversy_n for_o we_o do_v not_o teach_v we_o do_v not_o acknowledge_v that_o irresistibility_n which_o they_o attribute_v to_o us._n this_o conclusion_n therefore_o do_v not_o hurt_v we_o who_o do_v willing_o confess_v that_o the_o holy-ghost_n do_v not_o always_o so_o work_v in_o man_n heart_n that_o he_o take_v away_o all_o the_o place_n which_o speak_v of_o reprobate_n which_o we_o confess_v do_v final_o resist_v god_n call_v and_o do_v want_v the_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n be_v plain_o beside_o the_o purpose_n final_o these_o sectary_n do_v not_o prove_v that_o in_o all_o these_o place_n it_o be_v speak_v of_o a_o final_a resistance_n of_o which_o alone_o it_o be_v speak_v here_o but_o say_v they_o god_n ezechiel_n 18.31_o do_v command_v the_o israelite_n to_o make_v they_o a_o new_a heart_n and_o a_o new_a spirit_n whence_o they_o gather_v that_o man_n may_v perform_v what_o he_o be_v command_v or_o resist_v
