allude_v in_o his_o word_n to_o some_o text_n that_o speak_v of_o miraculous_a gift_n and_o so_o can_v be_v apply_v to_o we_o and_o also_o for_o a_o critical_a note_n he_o have_v before_o on_o the_o hebrew_n word_n put_v on_o he_o isa_n 42.1_o from_o whence_o he_o collect_v that_o in_o god_n give_v we_o the_o effect_n of_o his_o spirit_n the_o spirit_n itself_o be_v also_o give_v i_o will_v compound_v with_o this_o author_n the_o doctor_n shall_v submit_v his_o critical_a note_n to_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o this_o man_n shall_v let_v the_o doctor_n speak_v but_o the_o same_o thing_n by_o way_n of_o allusion_n to_o scripture_n whether_o they_o be_v prove_v thereby_o or_o not_o which_o other_o divine_n do_v speak_v and_o affirm_v ordinary_o without_o that_o allusion_n in_o his_o second_o chapter_n he_o show_v we_o what_o these_o effect_n be_v for_o the_o produce_v of_o which_o the_o holy_a spirit_n be_v give_v which_o he_o undertake_v to_o do_v here_o from_o that_o text_n luke_n 11.13_o where_o after_o two_o parable_n of_o the_o man_n ask_v three_o loaf_n for_o his_o friend_n and_o of_o a_o son_n ask_v bread_n of_o a_o father_n our_o saviour_n tell_v we_o that_o god_n will_v give_v his_o holy_a spirit_n to_o those_o that_o ask_v he_o from_o hence_o he_o gather_v that_o the_o effect_n for_o which_o god_n give_v his_o spirit_n be_v such_o as_o be_v needful_a because_o it_o be_v bread_n the_o son_n and_o the_o friend_n ask_v and_o profitable_a because_o a_o fish_n and_o egg_n also_o be_v give_v here_o he_o tell_v that_o our_o need_n be_v to_o be_v measure_v by_o the_o end_n that_o the_o end_n be_v our_o salvation_n consequent_o the_o spirit_n operation_n on_o the_o mind_n be_v to_o produce_v all_o those_o effect_n as_o be_v necessary_a to_o eternal_a life_n these_o be_v faith_n knowledge_n all_o virtue_n or_o grace_n which_o make_v we_o practical_a christian_n and_o perseverance_n here_o be_v his_o needful_a effect_n then_o his_o profitable_a and_o not_o necessary_a be_v degree_n of_o goodness_n which_o be_v more_o high_o so_o or_o degree_n of_o knowledge_n that_o be_v less_o profitable_a here_o he_o discourse_n whether_o god_n do_v give_v the_o spirit_n for_o these_o thing_n profitable_a upon_o our_o ask_n and_o tell_v we_o god_n may_v give_v we_o thing_n better_a or_o more_o suitable_a and_o so_o deny_v they_o then_o he_o show_v we_o how_o the_o spirit_n be_v pray_v for_o in_o the_o lord_n prayer_n because_o when_o we_o ask_v for_o any_o grace_n or_o virtue_n we_o ask_v for_o he_o to_o work_v it_o in_o the_o whole_a then_o of_o this_o chapter_n we_o have_v nothing_o against_o the_o doctor_n or_o the_o doctor_n against_o he_o but_o a_o good_a sermon_n i_o suppose_v we_o have_v which_o he_o may_v have_v preach_v somewhere_o and_o adapt_n it_o to_o this_o occasion_n which_o make_v it_o look_v though_o well_o yet_o feat_n and_o unlike_o a_o beat_a divine_a who_o in_o show_v what_o the_o effect_n of_o god_n spirit_n be_v will_v have_v cast_v they_o into_o some_o proper_a and_o full_a order_n and_o then_o prove_v they_o by_o scripture_n and_o quite_o let_v alone_o this_o sermon_n his_o three_o chapter_n be_v about_o regeneration_n which_o he_o make_v room_n for_o by_o a_o objection_n that_o this_o will_v be_v think_v but_o a_o lame_a account_n of_o those_o qualification_n that_o be_v needful_a to_o salvation_n see_v one_o thing_n most_o necessary_a thereunto_o be_v omit_v and_o that_o be_v regeneration_n and_o here_o then_o must_v regeneration_n be_v bring_v in_o and_o show_v we_o that_o it_o be_v not_o such_o a_o thing_n as_o dr._n owen_n make_v it_o but_o be_v comprise_v in_o his_o moral_a grace_n and_o virtue_n regeneration_n then_o as_o a_o state_n he_o define_v it_o be_v to_o become_v a_o sincere_a disciple_n of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o here_o though_o one_o may_v well_o require_v a_o little_a more_o accuracy_n in_o a_o definition_n there_o be_v no_o body_n like_a to_o differ_v with_o he_o upon_o the_o matter_n the_o doctor_n may_v use_v other_o term_n and_o expression_n and_o he_o use_v these_o but_o they_o both_o intend_v the_o same_o thing_n this_o be_v certain_a he_o that_o do_v righteousness_n be_v bear_v of_o god_n the_o doctor_n belike_o have_v say_v that_o regeneration_n be_v a_o proper_a term_n and_o he_o will_v prove_v it_o to_o be_v metaphorical_a be_v it_o so_o the_o doctor_n must_v be_v candid_o understand_v then_o that_o he_o mean_v it_o be_v a_o proper_a metaphor_n to_o wit_n that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o secret_a and_o powerful_a work_n of_o the_o soul_n signify_v thereby_o as_o do_v bring_v in_o a_o new_a disposion_n into_o the_o inner_a man_n as_o well_o as_o reform_v the_o outward_a life_n which_o be_v that_o only_o in_o effect_n he_o contend_v for_o let_v they_o grant_v say_v the_o doctor_n that_o their_o moral_a reformation_n of_o life_n do_v proceed_v from_o a_o spiritual_a reformation_n of_o our_o nature_n the_o difference_n will_v be_v at_o a_o end_n and_o what_o say_v this_o author_n he_o answer_v this_o difference_n be_v at_o a_o end_n before_o it_o begin_v for_o we_o have_v always_o grant_v it_o and_o why_o be_v the_o difference_n up_o then_o that_o have_v no_o beginning_n or_o cause_n for_o it_o the_o doctor_n be_v perhaps_o too_o warm_a in_o the_o allusion_n but_o the_o meaning_n be_v acknowledge_v the_o same_o with_o he_o who_o be_v as_o it_o be_v quite_o cool_a and_o off_o from_o it_o there_o be_v indeed_o one_o point_n as_o to_o the_o manner_n of_o the_o spirit_n operation_n wherein_o these_o two_o champion_n will_v differ_v but_o that_o belong_v to_o another_o chapter_n here_o he_o speak_v of_o regeneration_n only_o as_o a_o state_n and_o therefore_o i_o pray_v let_v he_o be_v quiet_a yet_o a_o while_n till_o he_o come_v thither_o in_o his_o four_o chapter_n he_o lay_v down_o the_o several_a grace_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n which_o have_v do_v once_o before_o i_o can_v apprehend_v it_o to_o be_v momentous_a in_o his_o make_v two_o chapter_n of_o it_o these_o grace_n then_o again_o be_v faith_n teachableness_n in_o order_n to_o it_o all_o christian_a virtue_n the_o improvement_n of_o they_o progress_n in_o they_o perseverance_n to_o the_o end_n to_o this_o we_o oppose_v nothing_o and_o there_o be_v no_o dissension_n with_o the_o doctor_n the_o doctor_n or_o another_o perhaps_o will_v have_v marshal_v these_o thing_n otherwise_o but_o that_o all_o these_o be_v the_o operation_n of_o god_n spirit_n or_o such_o effect_n for_o which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v to_o be_v implore_v be_v beyond_o dispute_n among_o we_o what_o he_o have_v thrust_v in_o here_o upon_o that_o subject_n of_o god_n dwell_v in_o good_a man_n i_o take_v to_o be_v another_o excellent_a good_a sermon_n chap._n iii_o of_o assuranee_n and_o pray_v by_o the_o spirit_n the_o subject_n of_o his_o five_o chapter_n with_o indifferency_n whether_o it_o be_v by_o a_o form_n or_o conceive_a prayer_n i_o come_v to_o his_o five_o chapter_n which_o be_v to_o show_v we_o what_o effect_n we_o be_v not_o to_o expect_v from_o the_o spirit_n have_v show_v before_o what_o effect_n as_o he_o reckon_v they_o be_v promise_v by_o it_o and_o there_o be_v three_o pretend_a gift_n he_o say_v which_o be_v none_o of_o these_o effect_n and_o so_o may_v not_o be_v hope_v or_o pray_v for_o upon_o that_o account_n immediate_a revelation_n of_o the_o sense_n of_o any_o scripture_n absolute_a assurance_n of_o our_o particular_a election_n and_o the_o dictate_v of_o extempore_o prayer_n these_o be_v three_o thing_n belike_o he_o design_v to_o have_v a_o sling_n at_o which_o he_o may_v do_v but_o i_o must_v tell_v he_o in_o the_o way_n whether_o any_o thing_n of_o this_o kind_n may_v be_v expect_v from_o the_o holy_a spirit_n or_o not_o i_o be_o not_o satisfy_v with_o his_o argument_n or_o the_o way_n of_o his_o bring_n it_o about_o that_o the_o effect_n for_o which_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v to_o god_n to_o give_v we_o his_o spirit_n be_v only_a thing_n needful_a and_o therefore_o we_o may_v not_o expect_v his_o help_n in_o extemporary_a prayer_n and_o these_o two_o and_o when_o the_o faith_n be_v the_o same_o and_o the_o justification_n the_o same_o we_o must_v distinguish_v of_o work_n then_o out_o of_o question_n to_o reconcile_v these_o scripture_n of_o work_n than_o let_v we_o distinguish_v and_o the_o distinction_n be_v this_o there_o be_v work_n which_o be_v inconsistent_a with_o grace_n and_o pardon_v so_o that_o if_o we_o have_v they_o we_o shall_v have_v no_o need_n of_o christ_n righteousness_n or_o sacrifice_n but_o the_o do_v of_o they_o will_v make_v the_o reward_n to_o be_v of_o debt_n or_o make_v life_n to_o be_v due_a out_o of_o justify_v there_o be_v then_o work_v also_o which_o be_v consistent_a with_o pardon_n and_o mercy_n though_o we_o have_v they_o so_o that_o when_o we_o have_v do_v these_o we_o do_v need_v the_o righteousness_n and_o satisfaction_n of_o our_o redeemer_n to_o cover_v their_o imperfection_n and_o for_o acceptation_n of_o our_o person_n no_o less_o than_o if_o we_o have_v faith_n alone_o his_o disputation_n it_o be_v of_o these_o work_v i_o must_v say_v as_o the_o apostle_n say_v it_o be_v of_o faith_n that_o it_o may_v be_v of_o grace_n and_o these_o be_v the_o work_n st._n james_n speak_v of_o when_o he_o say_v by_o faith_n and_o work_n also_o that_o be_v all_o one_o as_o by_o a_o faith_n work_v by_o love_n in_o paul_n word_n otherwhere_o and_o the_o be_v justify_v by_o faith_n work_v by_o love_n or_o by_o a_o faith_n productive_a of_o work_n or_o by_o these_o work_n and_o faith_n also_o which_o be_v such_o work_n as_o fall_v short_a of_o the_o law_n and_o do_v need_v grace_n and_o forgiveness_n for_o their_o acceptation_n with_o god_n be_v all_o one_o with_o st_n paul_n by_o faith_n without_o work_n of_o the_o law_n or_o without_o such_o as_o the_o law_n require_v offer_v to_o the_o thought_n of_o the_o dr._n that_o whereas_o he_o tell_v we_o of_o a_o commutation_n between_o christ_n and_o we_o in_o his_o take_n upon_o he_o our_o sin_n and_o our_o partake_n of_o his_o righteousness_n i_o do_v apprehend_v this_o expression_n and_o doctrine_n to_o be_v christian_a holy_a and_o good_a according_a to_o the_o sense_n of_o that_o text_n he_o be_v make_v sin_n for_o we_o that_o we_o may_v be_v make_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o he_o and_o the_o like_a place_n but_o only_o there_o be_v a_o difference_n to_o be_v put_v between_o the_o use_n of_o in_o the_o mystical_a union_n between_o christ_n and_o his_o member_n which_o must_v pertain_v therefore_o only_o to_o such_o and_o that_o as_o a_o fruit_n or_o effect_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n give_v to_o they_o if_o it_o be_v so_o to_o that_o end_n when_o this_o indeed_o be_v a_o thing_n that_o do_v not_o belong_v at_o all_o to_o the_o operation_n of_o the_o three_o person_n of_o the_o trinity_n but_o to_o the_o work_n of_o the_o son_n and_o the_o arbitrary_a ordination_n of_o the_o father_n whatsoever_o influence_n christ_n have_v upon_o the_o soul_n as_o our_o head_n by_o the_o author_n must_v be_v understand_v to_o speak_v when_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o faith_n fear_v and_o love_n the_o other_o be_v that_o there_o be_v more_o signification_n of_o the_o word_n spirit_n than_o these_o which_o himself_o know_v every_o spirit_n which_o confess_v faith_fw-mi christ_n in_o john_n be_v i_o think_v as_o much_o as_o every_o doctrine_n which_o by_o the_o be_o sure_a it_o be_v not_o full_a though_o when_o he_o fall_v upon_o several_a particular_a thing_n he_o seem_v to_o look_v through_o they_o well_o by_o the_o operation_n of_o the_o spirit_n he_o understand_v and_o define_v they_o those_o which_o be_v on_o the_o mind_n to_o cause_v certain_a quality_n promise_v in_o the_o gospel_n and_o continue_v in_o all_o age_n i_o have_v two_o thing_n tell_v we_o that_o we_o know_v not_o what_o we_o shall_v pray_v for_o as_o we_o ought_v there_o be_v thing_n in_o the_o lord_n prayer_n which_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o and_o know_v that_o we_o ought_v to_o pray_v for_o they_o and_o do_v pray_v for_o they_o yet_o do_v we_o know_v they_o but_o in_o part_n and_o we_o be_v more_o short_a in_o our_o know_v how_o to_o pray_v for_o they_o as_o best_a for_o we_o when_o we_o pray_v for_o deliverance_n from_o evil_n and_o temptation_n that_o include_v our_o present_a trouble_n and_o these_o be_v the_o thing_n we_o know_v not_o according_a to_o the_o first_o interpretation_n when_o we_o pray_v that_o god_n kingdom_n may_v come_v that_o include_v the_o thing_n of_o heaven_n and_o these_o be_v the_o thing_n we_o know_v not_o according_a to_o the_o second_o interpretation_n that_o which_o can_v be_v deny_v in_o regard_n to_o these_o two_o petition_n must_v be_v acknowledge_v in_o all_o other_o under_o a_o like_a condition_n there_o be_v little_a reason_n for_o this_o author_n then_o to_o pick_v a_o quarrel_n with_o doctor_n owen_n for_o attribute_v too_o much_o to_o the_o assistance_n of_o god_n spirit_n in_o the_o make_v our_o prayer_n who_o be_v so_o very_o cautious_a to_o allow_v any_o thing_n but_o in_o regard_n to_o the_o matter_n of_o they_o when_o there_o be_v so_o much_o more_o include_v here_o in_o the_o spirit_n pray_v for_o we_o and_o that_o for_o the_o thing_n we_o know_v not_o as_o it_o may_v make_v any_o man_n at_o a_o stand_v who_o go_v about_o to_o limit_v the_o holy_a one_o almost_o at_o all_o for_o fear_v of_o presume_v on_o the_o ark_n of_o his_o imperceptible_a operation_n have_v say_v this_o i_o have_v but_o three_o or_o four_o note_n more_o upon_o this_o text_n which_o must_v not_o be_v wave_v it_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v first_o we_o have_v the_o spirit_n put_v here_o into_o the_o office_n of_o intercessor_n and_o there_o be_v a_o practical_a case_n require_v satisfaction_n christ_n have_v promise_v again_o and_o again_o that_o whatsoever_o we_o ask_v by_o faith_n in_o his_o name_n according_a to_o his_o will_n we_o shall_v have_v it_o there_o be_v many_o a_o good_a man_n now_o trouble_v at_o this_o that_o he_o have_v pray_v often_o and_o not_o be_v hear_v it_o must_v be_v answer_v therefore_o upon_o this_o account_n that_o whatsoever_o request_n we_o make_v or_o any_o one_o make_v with_o the_o qualification_n express_v it_o be_v and_o must_v be_v put_v up_o to_o god_n by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o though_o it_o be_v not_o answer_v according_a to_o our_o know_v not_o what_o we_o shall_v pray_v for_o as_o we_o ought_v with_o regard_n to_o the_o context_n it_o will_v not_o follow_v from_o the_o instance_n of_o one_o or_o other_o of_o these_o particular_a matter_n to_o be_v intend_v that_o all_o other_o must_v be_v exclude_v but_o rather_o that_o the_o universal_a matter_n of_o prayer_n so_o far_o as_o they_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o like_a condition_n must_v be_v certain_o also_o conclude_v note_v in_o the_o three_o place_n that_o though_o there_o do_v appear_v some_o reason_n from_o the_o objection_n mention_v for_o limit_v these_o word_n we_o know_v not_o what_o to_o pray_v for_o there_o be_v no_o reason_n for_o limitation_n of_o the_o first_o part_n of_o the_o text_n the_o spirit_n help_v our_o infirmity_n for_o when_o it_o be_v affirm_v that_o it_o be_v by_o reason_n of_o our_o infirmity_n that_o we_o know_v not_o what_o to_o pray_v for_o it_o do_v not_o follow_v that_o therefore_o that_o be_v all_o our_o infirmity_n we_o have_v many_o more_o infirmity_n to_o be_v help_v than_o this_o in_o make_v our_o prayer_n note_v in_o the_o last_o place_n that_o though_o the_o groan_n unutterable_a in_o the_o text_n be_v expound_v in_o both_o these_o interpretation_n with_o regard_n to_o the_o matter_n pray_v for_o they_o may_v very_o likely_a be_v better_a expound_v with_o regard_n to_o these_o infirmity_n to_o be_v help_v that_o be_v though_o we_o be_v such_o many_o of_o we_o as_o be_v so_o weak_a that_o we_o can_v utter_v our_o request_n or_o frame_v our_o desire_n into_o petition_n yet_o by_o the_o spirit_n we_o be_v assist_v some_o way_n to_o put_v these_o small_a unutterable_a groan_n with_o his_o good_a motion_n together_o so_o as_o they_o be_v accept_v in_o heaven_n it_o be_v not_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o intensiveness_n or_o greatness_n but_o because_o of_o their_o smallness_n say_v master_n perkins_n that_o these_o groan_n be_v unutterable_a i_o do_v not_o think_v sensible_a of_o it_o and_o produce_v effect_n upon_o our_o mind_n in_o that_o manner_n as_o if_o they_o be_v mere_o the_o effect_n of_o our_o own_o reason_n say_v this_o very_a author_n and_o why_o then_o do_v such_o able_a and_o good_a man_n for_o such_o i_o hope_v they_o indeed_o be_v and_o that_o they_o do_v not_o speak_v what_o they_o do_v as_o scoffer_n let_v such_o discourse_n and_o debate_n as_o these_o come_v from_o they_o which_o carry_v a_o tendency_n in_o they_o to_o repress_v that_o devotion_n that_o have_v in_o it_o or_o pretend_v at_o least_o the_o most_o of_o warmth_n and_o enlargement_n of_o affection_n in_o this_o duty_n as_o if_o a_o coldness_n or_o beadishness_n in_o the_o performance_n be_v to_o be_v prefer_v as_o more_o safe_a and_o wise_a when_o christ_n that_o have_v teach_v we_o to_o pray_v do_v also_o exhort_v we_o to_o fervency_n and_o importunity_n i_o can_v tell_v what_o they_o will_v have_v by_o it_o unless_o it_o be_v that_o all_o shall_v come_v in_o to_o the_o liturgy_n or_o else_o they_o shall_v have_v no_o other_o prayer_n but_o this_o be_v more_o than_o can_v be_v expect_v in_o conscience_n the_o circumstance_n of_o pray_v in_o a_o any_o less_o please_v with_o it_o the_o use_n of_o a_o man_n gift_n in_o prayer_n be_v but_o a_o organ_n of_o god_n make_v a_o warble_a and_o holy_a descant_n upon_o the_o plain_a request_n of_o the_o heart_n to_o affect_v it_o the_o more_o with_o they_o and_o a_o organ_n be_v the_o use_n of_o those_o gift_n as_o i_o may_v say_v which_o be_v of_o man_n make_v or_o which_o man_n have_v give_v to_o the_o heart_n of_o all_o present_a than_o the_o performance_n of_o it_o after_o a_o form_n of_o man_n whether_o of_o another_o or_o his_o own_o composure_n this_o i_o must_v say_v with_o faithfulness_n who_o be_o not_o for_o the_o rust_n of_o any_o minister_n part_n see_v he_o have_v such_o continual_a occasion_n to_o use_v they_o yet_o not_o without_o these_o two_o or_o three_o caution_n the_o one_o be_v that_o in_o the_o prayer_n which_o the_o church_n have_v compose_v we_o may_v humble_o conceive_v that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n do_v pitch_v the_o heart_n of_o those_o who_o be_v to_o join_v in_o their_o gift_n or_o judgement_n for_o the_o composure_n upon_o those_o object_n or_o matter_n which_o be_v most_o agreeable_a to_o our_o public_a congregation_n as_o it_o do_v the_o heart_n of_o any_o single_a minister_n upon_o those_o thing_n as_o be_v most_o agreeable_a to_o his_o will_n for_o the_o present_a occasion_n another_o be_v that_o if_o a_o minister_n have_v not_o the_o gift_n to_o express_v himself_o without_o study_n and_o do_v therefore_o take_v pain_n for_o his_o prayer_n as_o for_o his_o preach_v have_v a_o gift_n perhaps_o upon_o his_o pain_n and_o study_n though_o none_o else_o that_o do_v equal_a if_o not_o excel_v his_o that_o have_v the_o best_a without_o it_o he_o may_v expect_v the_o same_o assistance_n on_o his_o study_n that_o the_o spirit_n shall_v help_v his_o infirmity_n as_o to_o the_o put_n in_o his_o mind_n those_o thing_n which_o be_v most_o conducive_a for_o his_o people_n to_o receive_v and_o most_o agreeable_a to_o his_o will_n to_o give_v as_o any_o other_o may_v who_o have_v the_o ready_a gift_n to_o follow_v his_o present_a motion_n the_o last_o be_v that_o though_o a_o minister_n therefore_o shall_v take_v heed_n of_o dry_v up_o his_o gift_n by_o one_o constant_a form_n in_o the_o pulpit_n where_o he_o have_v liberty_n yet_o if_o any_o do_v so_o i_o do_v hold_v that_o it_o be_v not_o a_o sufficient_a ground_n for_o his_o people_n to_o run_v from_o he_o into_o separation_n for_o though_o that_o will_v make_v his_o ministry_n the_o less_o comfortable_a as_o the_o ministry_n of_o one_o hereby_o i_o count_v be_v prove_v in_o the_o very_a root_n of_o it_o i_o answer_v say_v he_o if_o this_o can_v be_v once_o show_v i_o have_v do_v or_o if_o it_o can_v be_v make_v to_o appear_v but_o two_o question_n whether_o the_o operation_n of_o god_n spirit_n be_v by_o way_n of_o moral_a suasion_n or_o physical_a operation_n and_o whether_o these_o operation_n or_o the_o effectual_a grace_n of_o god_n on_o the_o heart_n in_o a_o sinner_n conversion_n be_v irresistible_a i_o will_v content_v myself_o with_o the_o last_o point_n unto_o which_o the_o other_o i_o conceive_v may_v be_v reduce_v and_o this_o be_v a_o controversy_n as_o other_o before_z which_o have_v the_o arminian_o on_o one_o side_n and_o synod_n of_o dort_n on_o the_o other_o the_o dr._n be_v for_o the_o synod_n we_o may_v be_v sure_a and_o this_o author_n for_o the_o arminian_o the_o only_a thing_n to_o be_v understand_v between_o both_o be_v what_o they_o mean_v by_o the_o term_n irresistitle_v if_o the_o dr._n have_v receive_v by_o it_o a_o apprehension_n as_o if_o the_o work_n of_o grace_n on_o the_o soul_n be_v such_o as_o disarm_v the_o will_n of_o its_o liberty_n and_o leave_v it_o no_o power_n of_o resist_v according_a to_o that_o say_n which_o this_o author_n quote_v for_o his_o that_o the_o will_n can_v make_v use_n of_o that_o grace_n which_o it_o can_v refuse_v the_o doctor_n be_v out_o grace_n i_o will_v and_o you_o will_v not_o this_o author_n be_v out_o for_o this_o special_a effectual_a grace_n flow_v from_o the_o decree_n of_o election_n and_o can_v neverfail_v but_o if_o he_o commutation_n he_o speak_v of_o and_o right_o magnify_v do_v go_v to_o the_o impetration_n of_o our_o redemption_n and_o the_o benefit_n we_o have_v by_o christ_n and_o not_o to_o the_o application_n if_o this_o commutation_n between_o christ_n and_o we_o of_o his_o righteousness_n for_o our_o sin_n do_v go_v to_o or_o be_v make_v in_o the_o application_n i_o see_v not_o how_o any_o more_o than_o one_o man_n can_v have_v it_o if_o christ_n make_v the_o commutation_n with_o peter_n and_o so_o take_v his_o sin_n and_o give_v he_o his_o righteousness_n in_o exchange_n this_o righteousness_n of_o particular_a person_n or_o that_o it_o do_v go_v into_o the_o application_n but_o that_o it_o go_v into_o the_o impetration_n of_o those_o benefit_n we_o have_v by_o christ_n which_o be_v procure_v for_o all_o upon_o condition_n there_o be_v no_o particular_a person_n but_o by_o the_o perform_v that_o condition_n alike_o may_v and_o by_o that_o mean_v only_o can_v enjoy_v they_o one_o with_o another_o to_o make_v this_o quite_o clear_a there_o be_v but_o one_o cloud_n to_o be_v remove_v which_o do_v as_o i_o suppose_v hang_v on_o the_o mind_n of_o most_o in_o think_v something_o more_o procure_v for_o we_o and_o so_o they_o become_v we_o and_o the_o merit_n and_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v say_v to_o be_v so_o in_o regard_n to_o those_o effect_n they_o be_v we_o for_o the_o impetration_n of_o these_o benefit_n but_o they_o can_v be_v we_o in_o themselves_o that_o be_v not_o we_o in_o regard_n to_o the_o application_n what._n christ_n do_v for_o we_o in_o the_o flesh_n be_v to_o reconcile_v our_o salvation_n to_o god_n glory_n and_o the_o end_n of_o government_n what_o christ_n do_v in_o the_o spirit_n be_v to_o reconcile_v our_o spirit_n to_o what_o god_n require_v of_o we_o and_o so_o to_o qualify_v we_o for_o our_o possession_n of_o the_o benefit_n which_o he_o have_v purchase_v in_o the_o flesh_n the_o benefit_n be_v we_o and_o we_o enjoy_v they_o as_o be_v impetrate_v for_o
