cast_v out_o of_o the_o synagogue_n they_o forsake_v he_o which_o show_v that_o their_o belief_n be_v ineffectual_a so_o that_o let_v a_o man_n seem_v to_o have_v all_o the_o other_o three_o yet_o when_o the_o praise_n of_o man_n shall_v come_v in_o competition_n with_o any_o command_n of_o god_n when_o god_n shall_v put_v he_o to_o do_v any_o thing_n to_o part_v with_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v dear_a to_o he_o as_o he_o do_v abraham_n if_o his_o faith_n work_v not_o if_o his_o faith_n hold_v not_o out_o in_o the_o trial_n but_o start_v aside_o like_o a_o break_a bow_n it_o be_v not_o we_o and_o that_o out_o of_o love_n and_o four_a when_o faith_n work_v and_o that_o in_o the_o time_n of_o trial_n when_o god_n shall_v put_v we_o to_o it_o i_o say_v when_o you_o find_v these_o four_o thing_n you_o may_v conclude_v that_o your_o faith_n be_v effectual_a the_o last_o thing_n i_o propound_v be_v to_o show_v how_o this_o be_v wrought_v wrought_v how_o our_o faith_n be_v make_v effectual_a it_o be_v make_v effectual_a by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n it_o be_v not_o in_o our_o own_o power_n we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o believe_v nay_o we_o be_v so_o far_o from_o it_o that_o we_o strive_v against_o it_o the_o spirit_n in_o we_o resist_v it_o so_o that_o if_o god_n
will_v be_v mind_v other_o matter_n some_o about_o their_o profit_n and_o some_o their_o pleasure_n etc._n etc._n but_o when_o the_o holy_a ghost_n shall_v show_v you_o these_o thing_n that_o be_v when_o he_o present_v they_o to_o we_o that_o draw_v the_o heart_n from_o mind_v other_o thing_n to_o seek_v after_o christ_n to_o long_o after_o he_o and_o not_o to_o content_v yourselves_o till_o you_o be_v unite_v to_o he_o but_o beside_o this_o there_o be_v a_o three_o act_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n we_o by_o which_o he_o work_v it_o and_o make_v this_o faith_n effectual_a and_o that_o be_v the_o testimony_n that_o the_o spirit_n give_v to_o our_o spirit_n tell_v we_o that_o these_o thing_n be_v we_o when_o the_o heart_n be_v prepare_v by_o the_o law_n and_o when_o these_o thing_n be_v so_o show_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o prize_v they_o and_o long_o after_o they_o yet_o there_o must_v be_v a_o three_o thing_n that_o be_v to_o take_v they_o to_o ourselves_o to_o believe_v that_o they_o be_v we_o spirit_n and_o there_o need_v a_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n for_o this_o too_o for_o though_o the_o promise_n be_v never_o so_o clear_a yet_o have_v nothing_o but_o the_o promise_n you_o will_v find_v that_o you_o will_v never_o be_v able_a to_o apply_v they_o to_o yourselves_o but_o when_o the_o holy_a ghost_n shall_v say_v christ_n be_v thou_o and_o these_o thing_n belong_v to_o thou_o and_o god_n be_v thy_o father_n when_o the_o spirit_n shall_v bear_v witness_n with_o our_o spirit_n by_o a_o immediate_a work_n of_o his_o own_o than_o we_o shall_v believe_v this_o be_v of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n show_v that_o there_o be_v a_o extreme_a backwardness_n that_o if_o they_o be_v not_o force_v to_o come_v as_o it_o be_v they_o will_v not_o do_v it_o not_o but_o that_o when_o a_o man_n be_v once_o wrought_v upon_o by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n he_o come_v of_o himself_o but_o that_o phrase_n be_v use_v only_o to_o show_v that_o backwardness_n that_o be_v in_o man_n by_o nature_n for_o when_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v wrought_v upon_o the_o will_n draw_v and_o have_v turn_v that_o than_o a_o man_n come_v upon_o his_o own_o leg_n and_o be_v move_v from_o a_o inward_a principle_n of_o his_o own_o therefore_o man_n be_v so_o draw_v that_o withal_o they_o run_v after_o he_o as_o it_o be_v cant._n 1._o 1.4_o but_o it_o show_v this_o thing_n for_o which_o i_o have_v use_v it_o that_o there_o be_v a_o wondrous_a backwardness_n in_o all_o of_o we_o by_o nature_n and_o that_o this_o must_v be_v do_v by_o a_o great_a work_n of_o the_o spirit_n therefore_o the_o sure_a but_o what_o be_v it_o promise_n i_o take_v it_o to_o be_v this_o one_o thing_n be_v when_o there_o be_v a_o clear_n of_o the_o promise_n for_o the_o voice_n be_v the_o very_a gospel_n itself_o now_o when_o we_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o man_n and_o open_v the_o promise_n of_o salvation_n and_o of_o life_n if_o god_n do_v not_o join_v with_o we_o now_o and_o clear_v they_o to_o you_o by_o kindle_v a_o light_n within_o that_o you_o see_v the_o meaning_n of_o they_o except_o he_o i_o say_v do_v thus_o join_v with_o we_o you_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o build_v upon_o these_o sure_a thou_o do_v not_o sever_v they_o one_o from_o the_o other_o so_o that_o if_o you_o will_v know_v now_o whether_o you_o have_v faith_n or_o no_o consider_v whether_o ever_o god_n have_v speak_v this_o to_o you_o or_o no_o whether_o ever_o he_o have_v wrought_v this_o work_n in_o you_o wrought_v for_o faith_n you_o must_v know_v be_v wrought_v in_o this_o manner_n the_o spirit_n come_v and_o show_v christ_n to_o you_o and_o not_o only_o show_v you_o his_o merit_n not_o only_o tell_v you_o that_o he_o will_v be_v a_o saviour_n not_o only_o tell_v you_o of_o a_o kingdom_n that_o you_o shall_v have_v by_o he_o but_o show_v you_o the_o beauty_n and_o excellency_n of_o christ_n it_o show_v you_o what_o grace_n be_v and_o make_v you_o love_v it_o and_o then_o he_o show_v you_o mercy_n out_o of_o this_o you_o come_v to_o long_o after_o christ_n come_v and_o to_o say_v i_o will_v i_o have_v he_o a_o man_n come_v to_o love_v he_o as_o the_o spouse_n love_v her_o husband_n now_o to_o this_o work_n he_o add_v a_o second_o christ_n come_v and_o tell_v a_o man_n i_o will_v have_v thou_o he_o come_v and_o show_v himself_o he_o discover_v himself_o to_o a_o man_n and_o speak_v plain_o as_o in_o that_o place_n we_o have_v often_o mention_v john_n 19_o 19_o and_o say_v to_o he_o i_o be_o willing_a to_o marry_v thou_o when_o this_o be_v do_v on_o the_o holy_a ghost_n part_n and_o we_o on_o our_o part_n come_v to_o resolve_v to_o take_v he_o now_o the_o match_n be_v make_v between_o we_o and_o this_o be_v faith_n indeed_o when_o this_o work_n be_v do_v a_o man_n may_v true_o say_v not_o answer_v i_o and_o it_o be_v not_o my_o experience_n only_o but_o it_o be_v the_o experience_n of_o other_o likewise_o they_o pray_v and_o god_n do_v not_o hear_v their_o prayer_n what_o shall_v
