see_v requisite_a to_o be_v foretell_v be_v deliver_v to_o we_o in_o the_o scripture_n there_o can_v no_o long_o be_v any_o need_n of_o new_a prophecy_n which_o will_v be_v of_o less_o authority_n than_o the_o ancient_a one_o inasmuch_o as_o their_o antiquity_n be_v the_o thing_n chief_o to_o be_v regard_v in_o prophecy_n for_o if_o to_o foretell_v thing_n to_o come_v be_v a_o argument_n of_o a_o divine_a prescience_n the_o long_a thing_n be_v foretell_v before_o they_o come_v to_o pass_v the_o better_a must_v the_o argument_n need_v be_v he_o therefore_o that_o require_v new_a prophecy_n to_o confirm_v the_o old_a little_a consider_v the_o nature_n of_o prophecy_n and_o wherein_o the_o evidence_n and_o use_v of_o they_o lie_v but_o in_o great_a wisdom_n and_o caution_n will_v give_v no_o credit_n to_o the_o best_a evidence_n unless_o there_o be_v something_o less_o evident_a to_o prove_v it_o by_o the_o chief_a enquiry_n then_o seem_v to_o be_v concern_v the_o cessation_n of_o miracle_n but_o from_o what_o have_v be_v elsewhere_o say_v the_o reason_n may_v appear_v why_o the_o miraculous_a power_n which_o the_o apostle_n receive_v by_o the_o descent_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v not_o to_o be_v of_o perpetual_a continuance_n in_o the_o church_n but_o be_v to_o cease_v in_o future_a age_n for_o the_o cause_n and_o end_v of_o the_o gift_n of_o miracle_n bestow_v shall_v apply_v themselves_o to_o he_o with_o a_o expectation_n to_o receive_v what_o they_o ask_v of_o he_o otherwise_o to_o come_v to_o he_o for_o cure_n be_v no_o better_a than_o to_o tempt_v to_o mock_v and_o deride_v he_o it_o be_v to_o ask_v what_o they_o do_v not_o believe_v he_o can_v bestow_v but_o they_o resolve_v only_o to_o try_v what_o he_o can_v do_v suppose_v that_o if_o they_o receive_v no_o good_a yet_o however_o there_o can_v be_v no_o hurt_n in_o the_o experiment_n now_o can_v any_o man_n think_v that_o the_o miracle_n which_o christ_n wrought_v be_v to_o be_v bestow_v
