it_o be_v to_o be_v wish_v there_o be_v as_o much_o among_o some_o christian_n as_o there_o be_v among_o some_o heathen_n christian_n profess_v more_o than_o they_o do_v but_o they_o do_v more_o than_o many_o who_o be_v profest-christians_a for_o this_o christ_n love_v the_o young_a man_n but_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o the_o one_o thing_n necessary_a be_v want_v he_o be_v not_o sanctify_v there_o be_v many_o fine_a thing_n that_o may_v glitter_v but_o be_v no_o gold_n good_a inclination_n sweet_a disposition_n ingenious_a behaviour_n seem_o virtuous_a conversation_n may_v make_v a_o fair_a show_n in_o the_o flesh_n and_o yet_o they_o who_o own_o they_o may_v be_v in_o the_o flesh_n and_o so_o can_v please_v god_n rom._n 8.8_o a_o complexional_a or_o a_o constitutional_a meekness_n etc._n etc._n may_v be_v no_o virtue_n which_o be_v a_o conquest_n over_o opposition_n philosophical_a virtue_n which_o they_o place_n in_o obey_v and_o conform_v to_o the_o placit_v of_o wise_a man_n and_o dictate_v of_o reason_n or_o perform_v virtuous_a act_n for_o virtue_n sake_n may_v be_v far_o from_o holiness_n which_o be_v as_o i_o clear_v above_o a_o conformity_n to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n as_o such_o sub_fw-la intuitu_fw-la divinae_fw-la voluntatis_fw-la with_o respect_n to_o his_o will_n and_o a_o eye_n to_o his_o glory_n education_n art_n and_o prudence_n may_v and_o do_v oblige_v to_o and_o produce_v effect_n very_o resemble_v and_o like_a to_o they_o that_o be_v religious_a but_o the_o sweet_a innocency_n and_o most_o glorious_a act_n if_o not_o the_o result_n and_o effect_n of_o union_n with_o christ_n and_o the_o love_n of_o god_n will_v profit_v nothing_o 1_o cor._n 13.1_o 2_o 3._o though_o such_o person_n may_v seem_v too_o good_a to_o go_v to_o hell_n yet_o without_o holiness_n they_o will_v not_o be_v find_v good_a enough_o to_o go_v to_o heaven_n but_o the_o person_n may_v be_v condemnable_a when_o the_o act_n may_v be_v by_o themselves_o consider_v capable_a of_o commendation_n see_v matth._n 7.21_o 22_o 23._o yet_o again_o as_o to_o this_o head_n to_o teach_v or_o learn_v moral_a virtue_n apart_o from_o christ_n be_v to_o have_v they_o apart_o from_o heaven_n they_o be_v indeed_o require_v of_o and_o to_o be_v practise_v by_o christian_n but_o so_o be_v more_o than_o they_o and_o they_o as_o spring_v from_o the_o fountain_n direct_v by_o the_o rule_n and_o terminate_v in_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n otherwise_o though_o we_o learn_v to_o conceal_v or_o disguise_v ungodliness_n we_o shall_v never_o learn_v to_o be_v godly_a and_o every_o thing_n but_o be_v and_o live_v godly_a in_o christ_n jesus_n leave_v we_o under_o the_o first_o covenant_n which_o be_v too_o weak_a to_o save_v we_o philosophy_n and_o morality_n may_v make_v we_o civil_a and_o good_a man_n but_o they_o will_v never_o make_v we_o holy_a and_o good_a christian_n and_o as_o doctor_n m._n causabon_n well_o observe_v christless_a discourse_n be_v to_o little_a purpose_n the_o truth_n be_v say_v he_o the_o consideration_n of_o christ_n lay_v aside_o though_o good_a language_n and_o excellency_n of_o wit_n may_v go_v far_o with_o some_o man_n to_o persuade_v and_o with_o all_o or_o most_o to_o please_v and_o delight_n yet_o bare_a virtue_n of_o itself_o all_o thing_n sober_o consider_v will_v themselves_o be_v righteous_a more_o than_o other_o and_o therefore_o despise_v other_o and_o bid_v they_o stand_v afar_o off_o as_o unclean_a in_o comparison_n of_o they_o the_o more_o holy_a but_o
