piper_n harper_n and_o wander_a minstrel_n player_n upon_o tabor_n and_o timbrel_n soldier_n toss_v the_o pike_n go_v as_o night-wanderer_n to_o get_v money_n on_o this_o day_n three_o all_o pleasure_n in_o prohibit_v place_n as_o gaming-house_n bowling-alley_n and_o tiplinghouse_n four_o all_o sport_n whatsoever_o in_o the_o church_n or_o church-yard_n forbid_v by_o the_o canon_n of_o our_o church_n in_o those_o place_n and_o here_o methinks_v the_o reason_n be_v good_a if_o sport_n and_o play_v pollute_v a_o holy_a place_n than_o sport_n and_o pastime_n pollute_v a_o holy_a time_n ☜_o ☜_o 3_o all_o sport_n game_n play_n pastime_n and_o pleasure_n as_o have_v be_v condemn_v by_o the_o consent_n of_o ancient_a father_n imperial_a constitution_n edict_n of_o pious_a king_n by_o the_o learned_a father_n and_o divine_n in_o counsel_n and_o synod_n and_o many_o grave_n and_o worthy_a clerk_n protestant_n and_o papist_n have_v speak_v against_o it_o in_o honour_n and_o due_a reverence_n to_o their_o person_n and_o learned_a judgement_n we_o shall_v forbear_v on_o the_o lord_n day_n for_o that_o in_o other_o thing_n they_o be_v much_o regard_v their_o judgement_n be_v approve_v and_o their_o authority_n allege_v and_o may_v it_o not_o seem_v reasonable_a unto_o we_o in_o this_o thing_n which_o man_n acknowledge_v to_o be_v only_a matter_n of_o recreation_n to_o condescend_v unto_o they_o especial_o consider_v that_o no_o ancient_a father_n no_o council_n no_o synod_n can_v be_v produce_v for_o allowance_n of_o sport_n game_n play_n and_o pastime_n to_o be_v use_v upon_o the_o lord_n day_n nor_o can_v be_v exercise_v on_o this_o our_o lord_n day_n within_o the_o bound_n of_o the_o apostolical_a rule_n make_v by_o the_o holy_a direction_n of_o god_n spirit_n for_o the_o use_n and_o practice_v of_o indifferent_a thing_n which_o may_v not_o be_v do_v to_o grieve_v another_o uncharitable_o rom._n 14._o 15._o nor_o whereby_o another_o may_v stumble_v loss_n of_o liberty_n what_o the_o sport_n game_n pastime_n and_o pleasure_n be_v which_o the_o father_n have_v declaim_v against_o what_o
