he_o ought_v and_o haply_o think_v to_o have_v do_v and_o in_o some_o of_o these_o particulars_n his_o memory_n whole_o fail_v he_o now_o he_o will_v releâ—ve_v himself_o and_o his_o people_n who_o good_a he_o special_o intend_v by_o say_v the_o lord_n prayer_n but_o be_v that_o the_o way_n to_o relieve_v himself_o or_o they_o we_o humble_o offer_v it_o to_o the_o thought_n of_o every_o intelligent_a man._n will_v his_o repeat_v the_o lord_n prayer_n before_o the_o people_n help_v they_o when_o they_o be_v return_v home_o to_o confess_v their_o sin_n there_o more_o full_o or_o feel_o do_v that_o prayer_n supply_v they_o with_o word_n that_o way_n or_o to_o praise_n god_n for_o the_o mercy_n they_o have_v or_o to_o pray_v unto_o he_o for_o what_o they_o will_v have_v for_o the_o take_n away_o the_o stone_n in_o the_o heart_n if_o it_o be_v not_o all_o over_o stone_n as_o desirerous_o as_o we_o will_v have_v the_o stone_n takenout_a of_o the_o bladder_n but_o be_v there_o one_o express_v *_o *_o word_n in_o the_o lord_n prayer_n that_o help_v to_o the_o putting-up_a that_o great_a petition_n we_o meddle_v not_o with_o what_o be_v comprehend_v there_o which_o exceed_v the_o comprehension_n of_o a_o angel_n but_o with_o what_o be_v express_v there_o and_o to_o our_o seem_v there_o be_v not_o in_o that_o prayer_n one_o express_a word_n there_o that_o can_v help_v the_o pray_a man_n in_o all_o or_o any_o of_o those_o particulars_n beforementioned_a to_o close_v this_o we_o conceive_v it_o to_o be_v thus_o every_o godly_a person_n go_v to_o prayer_n go_v to_o god_n in_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n christ_n through_o he_o by_o the_o spirit_n he_o have_v a_o access_n unto_o the_o father_n 2._o eph._n 2._o and_o oh_o what_o a_o deal_n of_o eloquence_n and_o rhetoric_n be_v in_o this_o one_o word_n father_n how_o it_o work_v upon_o the_o bowel_n of_o the_o father_n upon_o the_o bowel_n of_o the_o child_n too_o so_o as_o the_o child_n can_v choose_v but_o crave_v the_o father_n can_v choose_v but_o grant_v what_o ever_o be_v good_a for_o the_o child_n there_o be_v a_o reciprocal_a work_n still_o a_o reflex_v act_n of_o the_o soul_n the_o father_n bowel_n yearn_v towards_o the_o child_n the_o child_n bowel_n yearn_v towards_o the_o father_n but_o we_o recall_v ourselves_o be_v to_o deliver_v our_o thought_n what_o a_o godly_a minister_n do_v when_o he_o have_v enter_v the_o pulpit_n sure_o in_o desire_n and_o endeavour_v he_o come_v whole_o off_o from_o himself_o he_o use_v all_o that_o ged_a have_v give_v he_o and_o lay_v out_o the_o very_a male_n of_o his_o flock_n for_o that_o very_a end_n give_v he_o but_o he_o trust_v it_o not_o he_o have_v no_o confidence_n in_o the_o flesh_n it_o be_v full_o and_o whole_o set_v upon_o his_o god_n he_o love_v to_o be_v trust_v and_o can_v be_v trust_v too_o much_o as_o the_o creature_n can_v be_v trust_v too_o little_a in_o a_o word_n he_o roll_n himself_o upon_o god_n putt_v himself_o as_o he_o can_v into_o the_o good_a spirit_n hand_n leave_v his_o matter_n there_o humble_o expect_v supply_n from_o he_o he_o be_v in_o the_o place_n where_o he_o shall_v be_v unto_o which_o his_o god_n have_v call_v he_o upon_o his_o work_n which_o he_o do_v with_o more_o delight_n than_o to_o receive_v his_o wage_n now_o he_o will_v not_o doubt_v but_o that_o the_o good_a spirit_n to_o who_o he_o have_v commit_v himself_o and_o his_o work_n will_v carry_v he_o through_o it_o both_o in_o pray_v and_o preach_v and_o now_o for_o now_o we_o be_v close_v the_o point_n notwithstanding_o the_o sickness_n of_o his_o memory_n and_o many_o other_o his_o infirmity_n who_o know_v how_o many_o yet_o he_o know_v who_o he_o have_v trust_v and_o upon_o who_o score_n and_o that_o he_o be_v able_a to_o lead_v he_o unto_o his_o work_n and_o to_o carry_v he_o through_o his_o work_n nor_o dare_v he_o for_o his_o life_n take_v a_o dead_a letter_n *_o *_o such_o a_o thing_n be_v the_o lord_n prayer_n as_o utter_v by_o man_n as_o dead_a as_o other_o letter_n he_o read_v in_o the_o same_o chapter_n he_o will_v not_o we_o be_v say_v take_v a_o dead_a letter_n to_o help_v the_o live_a spirit_n these_o be_v our_o thought_n of_o this_o matter_n four_o we_o have_v hear_v in_o the_o last_o place_n this_o allege_a for_o the_o say_n the_o lord_n prayer_n at_o the_o end_n of_o their_o own_o prayer_n our_o prayer_n be_v very_o imperfect_a we_o all_o know_v and_o god_n may_v neglect_v they_o therefore_o we_o add_v the_o lord_n prayer_n to_o the_o end_n of_o we_o that_o perfect_a and_o complete_a prayer_n which_o the_o father_n will_v not_o neglect_v we_o reply_v grant_v as_o before_o
that_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o best_a man_n be_v but_o imperfect_a as_o themselves_o be_v very_o imperfect_a thing_n prayer_n be_v a_o mix_v or_o compound_v duty_n for_o though_o it_o be_v wrought_v within_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n before_o it_o be_v putout_a by_o the_o tongue_n yet_o flesh_n have_v much_o to_o do_v in_o it_o enough_o to_o defile_v it_o and_o so_o the_o best_a prayer_n form_v as_o we_o hear_v pass_v from_o we_o as_o wine_n through_o a_o dunghill_n therefore_o these_o can_v have_v no_o acceptance_n for_o the_o prayer_n sake_n nor_o for_o his_o sake_n that_o pray_v if_o that_o be_v all_o which_o make_v for_o its_o acceptance_n it_o will_v be_v neglect_v sure_o enough_o but_o for_o his_o sake_n only_o who_o business_n it_o be_v now_o in_o heaven_n to_o take_v away_o the_o 5._o revel_v 5._o iniquity_n of_o our_o holy_a thing_n and_o to_o present_v our_o person_n and_o our_o service_n pure_a and_o spotless_a in_o his_o sight_n and_o in_o special_a these_o prayer_n as_o the_o sweet_a odour_n in_o the_o nostril_n of_o his_o father_n provide_v still_o that_o we_o loathe_v this_o uncleanness_n that_o cleave_v so_o fast_o to_o our_o person_n and_o prayer_n and_o put_v it_o away_o as_o a_o loathe_a thing_n now_o it_o shall_v do_v we_o no_o hurt_n nor_o hinder_v our_o prayer_n neither_o for_o it_o be_v not_o what_o corruption_n cleave_v to_o we_o but_o be_v impute_v by_o god_n than_o be_v see_v and_o allow_v by_o we_o so_o than_o it_o be_v grant_v that_o prayer_n be_v very_o imperfect_a they_o receive_v a_o tincture_n of_o uncleanness_n which_o imperfection_n thereof_o we_o take_v it_o you_o must_v answer_v one_o way_n or_o other_o it_o help_v or_o it_o do_v not_o help_v if_o you_o say_v it_o help_v how_o absurd_a be_v your_o say_n you_o
